I love all versions of this story. I wish I could see this one in it's entirety. Differences of each do not worry me in the least and I love to see how each version tells the story.

I do have two other trivial, and maybe fun(?), family facts which you may or may not know, and may or may not be of interest to you: - Mrs Gardiner and Georgiana Darcy in P&P 1995 are mother and daughter in real life: Joanna David and Emilia Fox; - This mother and daughter also share the same role in Rebecca 1979 and 1997: both played the second Mrs de Winter. That is it😉😌
@@IndomitableT Oh that's quite funny. I tried (on a slightly different note) several times to locate a script for the BBC's 1952/8 version. But no luck at all. The writer of that screenplay also wrote a spinoff, which for some reason was televised in the Netherlands. (The entire screenplay of the pre-war version exists, perfectly preserved at least on paper.)

Watching some wonderful compilations on the Mistress of Pemberley channel, to whom you lent your footage to make those compilations more complete, I may understand what you meant: the Dutch version of P&P called De vier dochters Bennet (1961-1962), or The Four Bennet Daughters. Indeed a translation of the Cedric Wallis adaptation. Kitty does not exist in this production. Did you manage to get a step further in your efforts to locate that script? Not that I can help you, I just hope you find it.
@@IndomitableT Oh, until 1980, it was common practice to "sacrifice" AT LEAST(!) one of the daughters! But no, sadly I found no trace at all in either the UK or the Netherlands. The Dutch script contains an unused scene which probably comes from Wallis. I found a former address but the person now living there knew nothing about descendants or next of kin. I spoke to the daughter of the translator, but she couldn't help.
I can only THANK YOU with all my heart to bring us this version of Pride and Prejudice! (i will be waiting eagerly to watch the first four episodes sometime in the future)
