    I used to just tape down a logo n spray paint over it

    No way !! This is such a good idea ! I wasted so much time using tattoo stencils on black shirts then painting with white paint following the outlines as I could, because it's just a stupid idea this dark blue pigment is almost impossible to see on black fabric. This way so much better !!
    Thank you 🙏

    Awesome video. I was thinking of upgrading to buying a silk screen kit but this is simple and kind of what I was doing. What I've been doing is using poster board, or even cardboard food boxes, tracing what I want, cutting out the trace paper then drawing it onto the cardboard and dabbing silk screen paint, or spray paint over the cardboard. This freezer paper way skips that step. Thanks for the video! Cool channel too!

      Silkscreens are amazing if you want to produce multiple shirts/patches of a single design. I would highly recommend getting into screen printing if you want to get into making band merch or starting your own distro!

    Absolutely love your channel Reptil, ive also been in this way of life for roughly 2 decades 2003-4 when i started to make me own shit! I really cant believe its been that long, time really flys! I love your attitude on wanting to teach people how to do things, i dont know about you but when i started and i used to ask questions id get laughed at and told "im not punk enough to be told!" Bare in mind i was 13-14 at the time.. These were the same people that thought you had to drink and take loads of drugs and listen to these certain bands to be "punk"... Yea them cunts lol! Good job i never listened to them! Keep doing what your doing! I had the same idea of showing people how to do stuff but never got around to it! Love from the uk!

    Wold their be any downsides to using spray paint instead of fabric paint?

    • @reptil_diy
      @reptil_diy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, spray paint is made to bond with metal. If you spray it on fabric it will eat away at it. They do make "fabric spray paint" but I have never used it.

    would it be possible to just use regular paper??

    • @reptil_diy
      @reptil_diy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you are really down and out you can try regular paper, trace the logo, adhere double sided tape, stick to wax paper, cut out logo, pull off wax paper and use as a stencil.
      I can not guarantee the results on a shirt but people do this as a method for putting logos on leather jackets. Let me know if you try it.
      I prefer using freezer paper when making stencils for fabric.
