For those jealous individuals who feel the need to bitch about other people legally harvesting fish, please look up facts before you complain. From NOAA Fisheries: “U.S. wild-caught Pacific shortfin mako shark is a smart seafood choice because it is sustainably managed and responsibly harvested under U.S. regulations.”
That Mako sure looked so much bigger with the Gaff in it's neck and his mouth open showing all the crazy teeth and twisting, on the Solo Skiff deck. Once it was in the cooler with a nice brine and ice, it look half the size. Ha ha ha......
@@gregorymillar285 Ok. But there’s no size limit, so not everyone has to follow your arbitrary made up rule. Don’t fuss other people for making a legal harvest. Also, don’t Makos primarily eat fish? I’m pretty sure seals and sea lions aren’t a big component of their diet
@@alexanderren1097 I never said it was a rule you did. I noticed that I'm not the only one to think this and I'm sure that you needed it for your video because you probably didn't catch anything else
@@gregorymillar285 It’s not my video. Also, you ARE acting like he should follow your made up rule. I don’t know if you noticed but he’s in a REALLY small boat. It would be extremely dangerous to keep a 100lbs Mako in that boat.
We fishermen complain about the seal population yet we keep killing their predators hello! That was a baby Meiko let him grow. Plus it was foul hooked so he could let it go.

I just looked it up, there’s no size limit for Pacific Shortfin Mako and their harvest is well managed and completely sustainable in US waters.

Pacific Shortfin Mako is a legal and sustainable harvest in California waters. Look it up.
@@alexanderren1097 I know that, except me and everyone I know don't keep the babys. We only keep fish over 100

Should leave mako sharks alone so they can grow up to eat the seals
Stop complaining. The Pacific Shortfin Mako population in US waters is extremely healthy. This is a 100% legal and sustainable harvest

Don’t kill the mako sharks. Especially the small ones. Not cool.
