- After his wife begs him not to do it (Jennifer Connelly) and by first deciding to do what must be done, Noah (Russell Crowe) ends up sparing the twins and tells the Creator that he cannot do it, leaving Ila (Emma Watson) crying and completely overwhelmed.

Clever strategy by the girl. The man was unstoppable while enraged, but a couple minutes of time-out were enough to make him THINK and be repulsed by what he was about to do.
Resulting in him stopping himself.
I wouldn't expect any less from Hermione.
I was scared he actually would do it but he spared them in the end.

This whole scene is not in the Bible. They changed a lot of things in this film.
Well, yeah. 40 days and 40 nights of nothing but tending to animals and ocean. In order to make a movie about this, they had to add drama.
Maybe it is in 3 other great holy books? Don’t just compare it to bible you fool.
It’s not a biblically accurate movie , it’s just based off Noah with elements of the Bible.
Which is funny because we don’t actually know how the world really was during Noah’s time before the flood - so there’s elements to the movie I do like. Not saying there were rock angels but could have been? The way humans were projected on this movie, easily could have been that way too. It shows how Noah lost his humanity because of how evil everyone was …he forgot to remember how good humans can be, how good he could be.
Darren is an interesting director with this approach - Mother! is a biblical elemental story in a way and it’s my favorite movie he’s done.

it's very sad movie 🎬 but I love it because emma Watson is in the movie and she has a good character

The Bible makes absolutely no account of anything like this, and it is completely out of character for Noah a man of God. Absolutely awful
Yet Abraham was told to sacrifice his son. He was a man of God too. Yes, I know it was just a test of loyalty but still. And this is just a movie by the way. They needed to add drama so it would be boring. Otherwise those 40 days and 40 nights would have been a snorefest.
@@darkshogun5887 Abraham was told to sacrifice his son as a test of faith, both to show that Abraham trusted that God would take care of Isaac in his mercy, and that God was loving rather than bloodthirsty.

@@LuxuryLenoxLuditoryLuthorLobStarting at the beginning, being allknowing and allpowerfull, God knew he was setting Adam and Eve up for failure, he knew about the snake and that Eve wouldn't be able to resist the literal truth, remember God lied and told them they would die from eating the forbidden fruit. Let's see, almost making Abraham sacrifice Isaak wasn't too kind, especially from issaks pov. Then there's the thing about Sodom and Gomorra, all around effed up but turning a woman to stone for looking back at her burning hometown seems overkill. Then again, he also send a flood to drown all but one family. You tell me all the kids and Babies from other families deserved to drown? I'm sure it's because God saw sin in their future so he only punished the crimes he knew they would commit eventually. While we're at it, how about all the animals that didn't get a spot on Noahs Arc, I guess they also deserved death. As did all the egyptian first borns and the people who must've died from the plagues even though they didn't enslave anyone, only their king did and the king refused to relent. Imagine that was you and you would be punished for your political leaders' descisions. Should I go on or is that enough to make my point clear?
This is a good movie… I enjoyed it anyway

This film is not faithful to reality. It's a lie.
It's a MOVIE. A movie about a pretty action-less and drama-less part of the bible. If they made a movie true to the bible no one would want to watch it. It would be him building the ark. Animals going onto the ark. Everybody not on the ark dying. 40 days and 40 nights of NOTHING. By the way, no commandments were altered. This is not the Ten Commandments movie.

@@dinamyrtille To be fair, that last sentence is debatable depending on the section of the bible you're reading. Think about it this way. We know, based on the bible, that Noah and his family survived the flood. What chance did people on the other side of the world or even just the continent have? Yeah, Noah could spread the word to the locals but not worldwide. There were a lot of dead kids.
Why did Noah want to kill the babies?
He thought they were angelic hybrid which was the reason for the flood to kill off the nephiline
@@jefftalbot5192 actually he thought God wanted all of Humanity gone and so if it were just one baby he was going to let it live to die of old age but since it was two (boy and girl) they could become like Adam and Eve and restart humanity which Noah believed was not allowed.
In truth, God was letting Noah decide whether humans were going to get another chance (they basically say this word for word in a later scene)
