I'm really pleased for you man 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊 yeah its been awhile but at least to can say you had a game plan and carried it through and what fantastic results you have got, all that hard work is finally payed off ,hours and hours of hard graft has gone into your dream koi pond plus alot of money to ,the whole project is a testament to your character and full commitment on what you want to achieve plus always to be that little bit better to , well on this job you have proven your true worth, that you will not falter or be put off from anything that comes your way, you have just pressed on and got the job done , and its been a fantastic journey to watch James you are definitely one of a kind and should be proud of yourself and your family, 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪👍👍👍👍 👉🤜🤛👈 ❤.
The ponds cracking! However don’t add anymore live bacteria until you’ve fish in the pond, you need the ammonia in the water for the bacteria to colonise. (Unless you’re gonna add ammonia) Really enjoyed watching the build. It goes to show anyone can build their dream pond if they put their mind to it.
Absolutely cracking job there fella, missus thinks I should redo mine now seeing yours 😂. Thank ya mother for the rabbits and your koi will love it. I have no experience with drum or bio so can't comment on what or whether they are correct i am sure someone will. Thou I'm tempting myself for them. Epic once again! Top job bud If I wasn't already subscribed to the channel before the build I defo would have been by now
Hi James and Mrs.Koi Whisperer I m so Happy and excited for all of you this has been such an amazing journey watching this Beautiful pond come to life .Thank you for sharing with all of Us! Can't wait to see the Koi in the new pond 🙂 God Bless
Great 👍 job I have been following you build, you are such a humble guy, Great neat job, you got full support from your family, can't wait to see koi in new pond
Congratulations it’s getting to the very exciting part seeing those koi in there! I enjoyed the video & hearing trickling water again in your back yard! That’s a lot of water! I couldn’t do it in my neighborhood our community well is on over load as is & in summer they turn the water off at nite if people use too much water! The black finish on the pond gives it a nice color when the light shines on it. Your filtration system is top notch mate! Your a lucky fellow to know how to do all this! Lots of well work but worth the wait for the finish line! Can’t wait to see how the koi react gonna be nice for them to have more room!!! Keep on working hard!
Omg!! This is all so exciting! I absolutely love it!! Ur doing an Amazing job James! U have put in long hard hours of work on this build and it sure is paying off. I’m so jealous of ur pond. I loved the original pond but wow this new one is top notch! Your wife is a saint for dealing with this for so long.. I wish my husband cld be half as much understanding and patient. Lol.. can’t wait to see the koi go in!
Hey buddy hope you’re doing well love this video definitely it’s amazing to see more into detail about a drum filter I have got a glass window myself and when I built it my friend hit the top of the glass with his ring and shattered the whole glass I have seen a lot of people put a metal strip over the top it’s just the idea you don’t have to use it at all I thought I would just give you a message letting you know I had to replace the whole window and it was such a pain in the backside
Been watching these for a while now! It's great to see it now it's all built and starting to get up and running! Look forward to seeing where it goes from here! Nice one James!
Happy days with all the new filters, can’t wait to get mine going soon, looks like 3,018.96 gallons of water from 11,428 liters, great job it shows James ! Enjoy
Dream koi pond! thank your mother for the rabbits yahooo!.. the initial water in the bio filter is coming from your pond thru the entry on pond from the two valves? if there were no check valves.....
James this pond is amazing all your hard work is coming to fruition you must be so proud of what you and your mates who have helped you have achieved in what 6 months or so a massive well done
Spectacular, James. Very happy for you....I think I was just as nervous as you when you started pulling water through the pipe (no leaks.) A lot of work went into this build, and everything was done to perfection. You're the man, James!
Great job James, whqt a fantastic job you've done there mate! You must be very happy and proud of yourself! I would much rather have one of Mrs Whisperer's roasts than one of those milkshakes!! 👌👌👌
Nice to see water running and no leaks amego. Wishing you all the best in the future in cycling the media and getting the fish into the pond. The Pike angler in me says that's one extravagant livebaits storage facility hahaha.
Bet you carnt wait to set your koi free in that beast of a pond watched every video since you started you have done an absolute cracking job what a koi pond you should be proud of yourself james well done mate 👏👍👌🙌
It's mint mate all you need to now is get koi swimming suite on and try before your fish go in ( just joking) so gel mate wish had money for one. One day love it mate👍👍👍🍻🍺🍸🍹🍕
James I have the same drum if the lid is off it will shut off the uv and it won't clean as there is a magnetic contact on the lid. If you put the lid back on the uv will start back up and the drum will clean.
Fantastic looking pond James. I've followed your build all the way through...so much graft !! You so deserve to be buzzin having done it all yourself. I honestly didn't expect to see any leaks as your attention to detail and thoroughness is amazing. Cheers.
I am happy for your water going into your new pond, James, and no water leaks in your pipes, and it takes a long time to do the pond mate it took me and my friend about 8 weeks to do my pond last year James mate but when it is done it is worth it James.
11400 liters works out at 2517 gallons so that a big improvement from your old pond, Well done James, was the water not coming back through the outlets into the bio chamber if you didn't have the pumps turned on?
Hi James it is looking good I cannot wait till you have your lovely koi back in the pond and if I get a pond again I be asking for your help if I need it . 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰
Well done James, been watching from start to finish on this build and have loved every minute as well as learning with you along the way. Looking forward to seeing the Koi back home and the happy smiling faces you and your family will be displaying. Take care buddy and enjoy the fruits of your labour
Looks great. Enjoyed watching your progress. Be nice seeing the fish going in. Bet your excited to be getting some new koi as well. I only started watching you channel when you started this build. Compared to your old pond is this much bigger? Your filtration looks impressive. Does having such an advanced filtration room greatly improve amount of fish you can have? Or is it a case of having best water quality for your fish? Or both? I have 2 bioforce 6000 on 900 gallons which I seem to have found out are pretty useless. Not had any water issues though. Only built thing earlier this year and considering upgrading the lot. Have to say enjoyed sitting next to it in summer. Def a very addictive hobby. Its semi raised with sleepers. I heavily planted it as like the natural look and fish seem to love all the lilies and various plants. I noticed the more serious guys like yourself seem to steer away from planting? Sorry for all the questions but the whole thing is intriguing.
Love seeing the water in the pond. One thing I do wonder about is that with no ammonia in the water (no fish) what are the bacteria going to feed on? Won’t they just die?
Absolutely cracking job , James . Cant believe you got away without a single leak you jammy bugger ! The Y food add made me laugh . Thought at first you were doing it to wind up the Haters . Had to google it to find if Yfood was real LOL . Keep it up mate !
Yea mate just to let the haters no I am doing well lol 😂 and get offered to do this quite a lot of the time but I decided I need the extra money to put back into the channel it will soon be new koi day lol
Looks top dog m8, you must be well chuffed and i bet Mrs Whisperer is glad to have the garden back lol.Are you not afraid of your Koi catching their backs or dorsal fin on the showers ? I would be with the showers being so close to the water level. BTW 11,400 litres = 2507.649 gallons.
James would you say you may be over filtered with the drum and bio filter in the filter house? I’m building a 3,500 gallon/ 13,300 liter pond and I see some smaller Burttons systems that “say” they will suffice. What do you say?
It’s fantastic to see the pond so nearly finished can’t wait till you get the fish in. You’ve had your fair share off unforeseen challenges to over come along the way With your determination and help from all your family you’ve built a great pond you will all enjoy for many years. 😀
Superb job there James. Hope this pond gives you years of pleasure and stress free koi keeping. You deserve it after all the hard work. Thank yer mother…
Won't opening your bottom drain valves fully let more water into the drum and raise the level to where you planned it to be. At the min it's restricted flow especially with them pumps being so powerful. Just a thought. Looks amazing, well done on no leaks and look forward to next Sunday for the big day for the fish to stretch their fins lol. Cheers.
Amazing to see all your hard work come to it’s finalized steps of adding your koi. There is so many little things and minor corrections that you say you need done, it’s looks fine to me. A bit complicated to have everything run correctly. Great work , keep it up and enjoy it all.
Great to see all well with pond you've worked extremely hard on the pond from start to finish as well as unexpected work with drainage carnt wait to see the fish in there new home they will love it 👍
Hi James great pond has been fantastic to watch from start to fishing we are are looking on in envey. You need fish in for that bio start to work. If not it's wasted.
Hi James, looking really good mate wel done. Bud putting the starter gel in doesn’t do anything when there is no ammonia in the pond. You can put a 10 ml ammonia on for couple days, than stop doing so 3 day before fish go in.
A lot of hard work there mate, but it's paid off looks cracking. Love the showers. Just one thing to think about. And that's the gel your using, unless you have an ammonia source it will die off. So if your not putting fish in for a few days, you will end up wasting that tub.
Congratulations James, you have made a fantastic pond, have a lot of respect for you and especially the koi's will be happy. greetings from the Netherlands. 👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How is the water quality in the temp pond? If it's the absolute 🔨 then straight grab some media from it and toss in the tub. The bacteria can double daily if there is enough for it to eat. They can also die by half daily if they are starving. Point being if that front pond is top notch now then so can this new beauty in a day or two. 😉 you take your time if you'd like my little 1000gal patio keeps me entertained in between your releases!
Now you have to hurry. Plumbing catastrophe. A flex hose that was shoved in the bottom of a drilled pot(2 years no issue) popped out and out of pond. 7 inches left 20 goldfish and 5 koi freaking out. Wife hears pump at 4am and I jump up and get it filling but had to go to work at 5. My bottle of dechloranator went solid in shelf and I risked the rv filter only. Stress on my beauts but to make it worse temp was 7 degrees F lower and when Wife kicked the pump on to get o2 levels up the friction fit under water fittings couldn't take the start up and started a geyser. I got her to put a small WaveMaker in to try getting some water moving but I believe the compounded damage was done. Lost all 5 koi and 2 of the larger goldfish. 2 more goldfish are in a bad way still. Demoralized. I have the type of job where there is no late option and no last minute relief. Koi were 22" 21" 20" 17" 15". 3 I had for 3 years and they were all fat and happy ready for their 3rd winter.

Hi James, for the topup I'd use a bottom entry toilet valve (or ball valve) and place it in the skimmer box, nice and simple and about a fiver
It's gonna look awesome in the evenings with them swimming around with the lights on 👌
Superb job there James. Hope this pond gives you years of pleasure and stress free koi keeping. You deserve it after all the hard work.
