- Decided to compile the few scenes I got to animate for Helluva Boss together! When I first joined the project, I was still a full time college student, so I was only able to contribute to the show whenever I was available. Can't wait to continue drawing these characters!

No way the pilot rough animation was originally drawn on paper…
I believe my scenes were the only ones done on paper at the time! I gave some of the drawings to Viv and a bunch of other crew members ⋆⁺₊⋆

You did rough animation on the pilot on paper?! That is actually insane to do now a days.
Yep! My college taught us how to animate primarily on paper and pencil and I didn’t get ToonBoom Harmony until a couple of years later.

Really curious here, what are the x's on Fizzarollis hat for? Does it help keep gravity in mind or something else?
Oh! That’s me marking which stripes on his hat are black, so the cleanup animators have an easier time keeping track of which parts to color accordingly ^^

How do you get your roughs so clean?
This is gorgeous animation, although ngl I'm a bit concerned you're pushing yourself too hard and spending too long to make clean outlines. I'm not super knowledgeable on how things actually work in a company, and processes can vary from company to company, so I'm wondering: would you be able to send things that are slightly less polished to the cleanup artists?
(Mainly I just worry about artists spending too much time on projects at the expense of other parts of their life. So if you're doing fine in that regard, don't mind me. And thank you SO MUCH for sharing your work!)
Was it mandatory for You to switch to animating on toon boom when you started working on the full series rather than animating on paper like you did for the pilot or did you just simply think that animating on Toon boom would be easier?
