I love the Bokers! They are so Classy. Love your defence of the hobby as well, very good points that I have used with people who think straight razor shaving is beyond strange. Need to have a razor honing party soon! Fill a table with stones razors and accessories!
+111raybartlett Absolutely!! Maybe thanksgiving break?! Get that house done! haha Thanks for watching buddy. Hope you're doing well. 'As if this activity needs defence...' ;-)
Beautiful piece my friend and not just that but the way you described the enjoyment and personal value in the ownership and use of a blade like this made me stop and think.. I always just dismissed straight blade shaving as "not for me", but why not? Once that learning curve is overcome (ouch?!) what knife and blade geek wouldn't enjoy using such a beautiful piece as this! Your folks have great taste, enjoy!
+EveryDay Knife Guy Yeah, EDKG, the idea of it is as important to me as the actual razors themselves. The sentimentality and the heirlooms provided is pretty special. There is quite a learning curve, of course, but its not too bad. Bringing the old days back around.. ;-) Thanks for the generously kind comment buddy. It's appreciated.
Thought you could just smack on some gillette foam and have a go at it. No need for a hot wet towel brush and stuff. I love those sharp beautiful art piece blades. And its a wonderful feeling shaving with one but as i said i use gillette foam and just go wild^^
You can do it as you do, but a hot towel and lather makes it smoother on the skin, and also makes it a little more luxurious! You should give it a try for fun! Let me know how you like it. The hot towel softens the hair big time. For someone who has soft facial hair anyways, it isn't a big deal. however, for someone with very stiff whisker, a hot towel can make a huge difference in comfort!
Good day sir. I hope your children will keep this knife safe. You could try to read this www.amazon.de/Edda-Illustrated-English-Snorri-Sturluson-ebook/dp/B00NCCEJ6O but im afraid there is so much lost... not only in translation. So much more to learn aside this one book. Could be good still tho the scool is so young the language barrier so thick imo you could just watch the lord of the rings together. That'll do. Trust me. Good books too. And so so close. Amazing. Despite the generation gap and so on. Good stuff still. Take care and have a good one. Wisdom must flow. We need to share it. There will be no other way. We need to keep learning. You know.Music and food is good. Friends are important. Trees are wise. But why? Stuff like that.

Well said! Makes me want a King Cutter, too. Did you have to get it honed or do Bokers come shave ready?
Thanks Ben! They're fantastic razors. It came 'good enough' to shave with, but could have used a slight refining!
Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind when ordering! :)
Handle is loose? Mine yes!😢
Hey weiderfan. Any suggestion where to buy straight razor?
+after12 beer Absolutely! This link will take you to THE place to buy production razors! Thanks for watching! www.fendrihan.com/
Straight Razor Design has them for about 120.
