Was waiting for this video. Great bash season Greg. I went a slightly different approach on the power. Threw in the Team Corally 6s system. I think the 15T is going to a another great option on the 4S system too👍
I put a 15t in mine and I'm gonna test it out today. Had a inch of snow yesterday but pretty sunny and warm today so I can finally run a truck! I have a spare 6s system i might put in and maybe even run it on 4s might be the sweet spot and more room for gearing. I'm gonna first run that super rock rey too today! Got so many rcs I've been dying to run along with the sketer
@@philthyco1 Yeah great idea for sure. Wish I had a 6s tc system to have it match but I got the 150a spectrum esc but maybe ill grab a motor instead of those hobbystar ones
I bumped my pinion up to a 15 tooth, and it runs great. I plan on adding a cooling fan to be safe. You can widen Sketer by an inch and a half with larger Kronos hubs & axle arms (Jenny's RC sell them cheap). This might help with jumping stunts, definitely if you're sending it to the moon, but you do give up a little steering control when you widen it, and you lose the nice spring steel axle holder cups because they're too short for the wider hubs. I just ordered some low profile street tires/wheels and a 1967 GTO clear body shell from HPI. Going for 60mph 🏎💨

I think, it is worth installing a rubber to this weak front bumper because the weight and impact force do their job and the thin plastic itself will not hold it .. it's worth knowing - thank you for the info, because it's an important detail, if you want to have protection against damage to some elements, front or suspension elements - it's worth it fix after factory already out of the box!
To be honest, Corally supplied mine as well. I have the paid promotion label on my video because of this (I don’t actually get paid though). It’s also listed in the video description and the channel about page, I’m not hiding it. The difference with me is; reviewing RC has been my career for 28 years. Before TH-cam even existed! I was lucky to have a great mentor (Chris Chianelli) that taught me to be honest and put the hobbyist/ consumer first. So I do. People are aware of my long history in this industry and that I share what I experience and it’s why I’ve been able to do what I do for so long.

Quick question Greg. With no budget limits or size of the space to run monster trucks in, if you had to choose 1, either this Team Corally Sketer ($489.99) or the Team Associated MT10 ($339.99) ?
Sketer, Big Rock or MT10 - My current dilemma!! The Sketer kills for driveline components and hardware yet it is VERY heavy which is causing arms to break easily. Not sure which way I will go.
I have all three...but if I had too pick only one, it would be the Sketer! Do the wide conversion, up the pinion to 15t and add a heatsink & fan and you're in rc heaven.
@@akent46 Which one did you end up getting? I just asked Greg for his opinion on either the Sketer ($489.99) or the MT10 ($339.99). Big price difference so I am partially looking for best value to performance ratio as well.
@@shaglioni I actually went a totally different route and bought a team associated rb10 as I want to hit the track. The Sketer is no doubt more robust yet the mt10 a bit more lightweight and agile. It really depends on what matters to each individual I guess. Consider the team magic E5 too, that's what I would get.
@@akent46 Thank you A Kent. I am leaning towards the MT10. Team Magic is really non existent for the US. And Team Redcat's MT10 version does not have a center diff included.

6S must be wild. Kinda liking the driveability of 4S, just needs a touch more power. 15T seems like the good cheap solution. 😄
@@rcdriver That would have been the route I would have went as well sticking with the 4S system but I had the 6S system staring at me collecting dust😆

I love mine but the front bumper is really weak other than that it's a beast an it handles like no other rc I ever drove

@@-gh6694 the wide conversion is a must, they are way too narrow for an MT.
