I love how he didn't turn on any Lights or use any of the light bulbs. The sanity pills are very limited. Just like the lighter the light bulbs would have saved to sanity more
When you thanked Alexa from twitched you activated my Alexa and it said "thank you for the appreciation. I needed that today" Thank you for letting me know my Alexa feels underappreciated 😂😂
Honestly, looking up the answers or asking for help for the puzzles of a game you might otherwise enjoy if not for said puzzles is not a bad thing at all ! We can't always enjoy everything about a game, I think this is a really nice way of thinking !
Outside of the poorly designed guidance on puzzles, this game is so freaking amazing. It feels like something that truly succeeded P.T. in terms of totally mind blowing you with atmosphere and horror alongside some truly gut wrenching stories.
I actually enjoyed the needle in a haystack aspect of this game. I am the type of person who likes to thoroughly immerse myself in the story and pick up every little thing. I picked up every photograph, opened every drawer, found every Easter egg, and I loved it. It came to a point where when I needed a very specific item in a chapter I knew exactly where to find it. But that’s just the type of game player that I am. I have a deep love and appreciation for this game. It understands game players like me and fed me exactly what I was hungry for. Visage is my all time favorite. I wanted to find every secret and I did, I even played the mini game in the credits scene. People like him who play games for an audience miss so many cool parts. Like in the treehouse, he had the camera pointed at the ground, looking at chat. Meanwhile the demon was in the window and the surroundings were falling, but he missed all of it. I am extremely detail oriented which is why it bugs me 😅
Yeah, Insym seems to have memory issues at times and lacks logical and observational skill (kind of doesn't understand video game logic at times as well). I've seen worse in that regard, but his is on a level where a game like this would be frustrating for him (heck, he's someone who enters a closet asking if it's the "laundry room"). Since this game has some solid logic puzzles and clever clue designs, but take someone who is somewhat detailed oriented and observant to enjoy. It's not even that bad either. Short of flashy yellow text telling the player exactly what to do, the clues are pretty obvious at times. Not obtuse like the adventure games of the '80s and '90s where you basically had to read the designer's mind at times. It's a good balance of challenge without the obscurity. Just takes some thinking skills that some people don't have the patience for (the game comes with that disclaimer).
Big props to you, my dude, for giving another shot to a game that you obviously find more than a little irritating and frustrating. I'm excited about this already.
I really like the open wandering and exploring aspects of this game but I do see Insym's point. At certain places, like the hallway clock/monitor puzzle, it should provide warning text (upon entry) like "seems like I need something else" just to let you know that you aren't ready for that area. This way players know about the area but do not waste time and get frustated trying to solve something they cannot. Otherwise I really like the horror escape room feel of having to maintain sanity while you wander about, find objects/notes, and figure out where to go next.
Around the 1:42:00 mark, I used to have a debilitating phobia called agoraphobia (fear of places or situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment) and my depression was at the lowest it had ever been….and because of it I almost failed college and could barely even leave my house. This was over ten years ago, and without my family and friends supporting me and encouraging me to get help I might not even be here right now. It’s super important to have a strong family and a strong support system to get through those difficult times.
The Babadook from this game is very similar to Blue Knees from Madison. Chapter 2 ending of Viage is the most tragic of all. Grandma didn't hurt the baby, but she did something worse. Since no one was left taking care of the baby, then it died a slow lingering death of starvation and neglect. Chapter 3 had the most ironic death for Rakan, because no one was watching him, he died in the mental institution from being left alone and neglected. If you're not in a chapter or in chapter 4, you get the oil slick ghost, which was your co-worker. If you don't like Chapter 2 of this game, then the Myst series or 7th guest is really not for you, because it involves gameplay reminiscent of those games. Chapter 3 is influenced by the lovecraftian games. Insym really should do Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth, that's a really good game, if you can get through the bugs Bethesda never fixed.
This was a really exciting play through. I felt with you all these creepy moments. One thing that i really do not understand: Why did you never use a candle or change lightbulbs for more light? At the beginning you read that the lighter does not provide your sanity from decaying but candles do even restore it. And you always run around with those damn lighters eating sanity pills like a junky Beneath that, thanks for the great work. I really do like Horrorgames, but i hate to play them by myself.
I've never seen a game in more need of a flashlight XD like it wouldn't take from the atmosphere of the game infact sometimes it would make it scarier as you could actually see the spooky thing instead of looking around wondering what happend 3:26:31 is a perfect example of this, like WTF the darkness around you isnt going to be anyless spooky with a flash light its actually gunna have you darting around trying to focus on the thing instead of just flailing in the dark in random directions trying to locate the danger.
I’m quite excited to watch you play this. I played this a long time ago and got immersed in the lore and wished there was more for this game. I personally thought this game was good. The story had spooks and it was good. It is disturbing as heck tho. Madison was good too. Seeing you play this makes me want to play through again. Seeing you struggle with the basic controls (lightbulbs or dropping items) is frustrating me. I’m screaming at my phone. 🤣 i believe dropping items is shit+ the item you want to drop (left or right click on the mouse) this game has 4 chapters. Dwayne is the person you are playing and he is the one who shot and killed his family in the beginning. (His story is chapter 4) at this time stamp you are playing Lucy’s chapter (she is not his daughter). If you collect all the comic book pages you can read the comic book in Johns room (the oldest sibling) its right on his desk. It also talks about the neighbor rose and how she fits into this story. (Even as it’s unclear to me still why she exists 😅) 22:25. The lore is quite confusing in this one. Lucy’s chapter reminds me of Madison with the camera usage. 2:34:24 we totally need an observation duty in a hospital tho. 2:45:15 Rakan’s chapter was so sad. Essentially someone was spying on him and they locked him in his basement to die. Tragic. Just a note- all the people who lived in the house have 1 connection: Dwayne Anderson. The dude you play through the game. The dude who shot and murdered his family at the beginning cutscene. This game has a lot of theories. Like MKULTRA/ secret conspiracies. Also- in the ending which you will get to if you choose to go down in the basement where the gun is- (for the void ending)- take the camera and by the door just do some spam clicks- you’ll see a hidden observation window. You can’t use the camera in the area by the gun- but you can use it by the door. There’s a lot of hints as to a big conspiracy in this game. It’s entertaining.
How can you be a horror game expert and not comprehend gaming instructions, bro? Standing in the dark makes your sanity decrease. Standing in the dark with a lighter makes your sanity decrease. You going "what why is my sanity decreasing" while standing in a dark room with your lighter out? That's why you kept dying the first time you played Visage.
I tried to play this yesterday, did Lucy's chapter first like Insym and I couldn't get passed the room where you have to find the bird cage key. I thought I was going to have a heart attack! XD Decided this is a game I'm better off watching lmao.
i am on the lucy charapter. each of the characters are a representation of a mental illness. lucy is schizophreni. the tree house part. the "demon" telling no one will trust her, just him. her fathers wont understand you. all is the voices on her head. the mother is depression post partum. cant remember the rest
Have you ever tried playing that " The Dark Occult " game that used to be called " The Conjuring House " too? That game is just as scary and complicated almost as this one. Very good content but it's a long game. People have made like 25 1 hour long episodes on it a piece.
not sure how someone could dislike visage that much, its a pretty well done game imo beside some flawed mechanics (i find the inventory system a little wack). the puzzles can be tedious, sure. but there's a lot worse horror games that this running around in the genre
Would be really fun to see you play all The (Forbidden) Siren games 🤓 True horror classics. And also the weird and excellent indie horror game Darkwood, intense athmosphere and unique characters.
Im not sure why Insym is so freaked out by the opening cutscene. It's no more graphic than any other horror movie ever. Compared to a lot of horror movies it was pretty tame. The only difference is this is a game.
"Visage" of the games it's designed after is more accurate :/ Intro is so hamfisted and loses all it's weight since it's just empty. The scene just arbitrarily happens, because they just couldn't write it where you learn of the character's past among the world they created. They just shove the answer in your face, patronizing the player's experience for a "narrative" 🤷 P.T. is scary because of it's hard rule to keep information sparse, and just what is absolutely necessary. This game colors your perception from the beginning, giving you everything you need to read into it without any investigation beyond, "Oh, this matches the beginning scenario, it must be related" I don't appreciate this from games writing. There is plenty of information and writing on the way PT and other related works use the emergent gameplay to encourage an emergent story.
I’m surprised no one told insym how to change the lightbulbs, he was walking around with a lightbulb in his hand for like 20 min lol
How many Insyms does it take to change a lightbulb 😂
I'm surprised he didn't turn on every light he could.
Someone said in chat something like, how many pills does it take to screw in a lightbulb 😂
I love how he didn't turn on any Lights or use any of the light bulbs. The sanity pills are very limited. Just like the lighter the light bulbs would have saved to sanity more

Since the main character killed the family, I don't mind all the scary haunting stuff that happens to him
I actually enjoyed the needle in a haystack aspect of this game. I am the type of person who likes to thoroughly immerse myself in the story and pick up every little thing. Hope this round was more enjoyable than the first playthrough 💗 I’m sure chat was having a field day being able to backseat game for once 😂
The way he kept ALMOST going in the right direction, but then turning and leaving had me pulling my hair out. (in Delores's chapter)
Around the 1:42:00 mark, I used to have a debilitating phobia called agoraphobia (fear of places or situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment) and my depression was at the lowest it had ever been….and because of it I almost failed college and could barely even leave my house.
