The springboks second try gave me chills❤
How good is Moody.. the guy is everywhere.
so much to show in this game with these extended highlights, but instead they show us kickers linning up kicks.
Blows my mind
F
But credit where credit is due, this is a huge improvement on the URC 3 minute highlights package with 2 minutes of substitutions and 60 seconds of players falling over the line with the lead up cut. I'll take this anytime.

My two favorite rugby nations. Love them both to bits. Have seen the same fixture at the Principality live a couple of years prior, still ranks among the top live events in my life. The atmosphere at the Principality is unlike anything else I've ever experienced.
As for this game, I've got to say, that I've never seen Wales make this amount of defensive mistakes in one match.
There were doubts if the boks would win the previous World Cup based on stats, this time, they are smashing their way clear to win...total dominance all round.

Siya’s game had evolved so much ever since he lifted the World Cup in Japan 4 years ago. He was always a decent loose forward but now he’s involved in a lot of the attacking play. Nice to see Malcolm Marx get a rare start too. I genuinely consider him as the best hooker in World Rugby but it’s a luxury to have Bongi as well. I hope Pollard can recover from his injury and then the boys are all set for France. The squad has depth and I’m confident about our chances in France. South Africa have very good memories in France. 2007 was hosted in France😉
I think the Boks are going to win this World Cup. As an Englishman I would obviously love for England to win but since there’s no chance whatsoever of that I’m hoping either France or Ireland win so that some NH team at least brings it home. My heart wants France or Ireland but my head is telling me another Boks World Cup win.

Just a small suggestion - if you wouldn't mind cutting the time waiting for goal kicker, then the highlights would be even better.
Other than that, great editing :)
Why do you consider waiting a highlight?

8:18 That's the reason why so many bok fans want Andre Esterhuizen. Don't get me wrong, DDA has shown he is one of the best defensive midfielders and definitely a great carrier, but how could you not play a simple 4 on 1. We got lucky there to still be scoring the try
Please 🙏 Why all this nonsense with Esterhuizen, DDA is the incumbent like Vermeulen, Faf, and Willie and they are all playing kak but all you see is DDA must make way for Esterhuizen.
There's no such thing as luck, the try that Jessie Kriel scored who was the mastermind behind it, go watch the match over in slow motion maybe you will see what DDA is bringing to this team Esterhuizen must wait his turn like all the other players, Willemse better than Willie, Hendrickse better than Faf etc...
DDA is slow, locks creativity, distribution. Take your pick. If you have the outside backs the boks have that kind of player will destroy many good quality ball.
@@Br0kensaint1go watch the game over in slow motion it's seems to me the game was to fast for you, DDA created a couple of the tries with his vision and brilliance on attack
@user-hk8ec7vr8v yeah a 4 on 2 overlap and he ends up booting the ball up field just screams Dan Carter doesn't 😂😂😂😂😂😂. If you think thats class then i think you need to revise your definition of the word. Please Tell DDA at your next family dinner to just pack it in. He can take his netball pop passes with him as well. The game on Saterday was too quick for him he struggled. People don't want to pay a couple of hundred pounds or thousands of rands to watch a guy gun barrel every ball he gets. We might as well pick kwagga Smit at 12. The effect is the same

I don't fully agree with the penalty try, but it's definately a yellow for delibrate knock on. it looks like the ball is missed by Moodie and going out of play
My undestanding on the Penalty try law is that if deliberate foul play occurs the defending players presence gets completely removed from the equation. that ball was still in play and it could be possible for Moodie to turn and dive on the ball or he would have gathered without the welsh player in attendance. I do think its very soft but when looked at from that perspective you can kind of see why it was awarded.
Boks on fire!
Libbok makes up for the kicking with his good overall game. He makes good decisions.
He shouldnt have to “make up” for them anyway. 5 kicks is worth the same amount of points as 2 converted tries. If he got both which an international fly half is expected to do, he’d have contributed double the points. Against better teams we won’t blow anyone out of the water and what was a great playmaker will become less effective against good defensive sides leaving us with just a bad kicker who costs 15 points per game. If he does not get better this game or against Scotland, we will not get past the quarters.
Wouldn't go as far as saying he makes up for it. But he's in game play is good.
@@TheCosmerenaut1 facts
I agree . He creates more 5 pointers, posiibly 7 than the usual 3.
He’s a good rugby player but his kicking isn’t consistent. That’s why many want Pollard to recover ASAP.
Bokke looking good, cant wait for friday night, or here in New Zealand saturday morning. That was never a penalty try, and they literalky threw away the 3rd try, and the fourth, and the 6th. Crikey
That penalty try was awful. Green clearly had no grip on it, so red was just competing.
this is coming from a neutral opinion btw
Well coming from a Springbok supporter… I agree, Moodie had no control, lost it backwards. Wales had no control and lost it backwards but out in touch. Should have been a 5m Scrum Boks ball.
@@iannpitout1174 Maybe not a penalty try but it’s still a yellow card. A deliberate knock into touch is a yellow card. The ball was bouncing the other way and he tries to catch it in the complete wrong way. It was a yellow and a penalty imo. Not a penalty try but not out of the question
@@TheCosmerenaut1 from the back it looked like he slapt it, but from the front replay it looked like he wanted to scoop it. But that’s the modern game for you, slow motion and multiple angles to replay leaves a lot for interpretation, opinions and potential bias. Depends on the ref and TMO on the day.
Feel for the Welsh with that penalty try and yellow card, when the Welsh player took a swipe the Bok player had already overrun the ball, there was absolutely no way he was going to score. It also looked more like the Welsh player was taking a swipe to dislodge the ball if the Bok player caught it to save the try. Really don't think that was a penalty try at any moment.

There was a lot of gloss on the score-line. Neither side played very well in the first half. The second half was better for the Boks, but there have to be concerns about going to a World Cup without a consistent kicker.
No concern for me with that tight five of us we kick for the touchline setup the rolling maul and try time!!! The Stormers did it

It was easy to be on-fire against a 2nd string Wales side. We will see how strong the Boks are when the play New Zealand.
Thought Wales were really poor, scoreline flatters SA though.
SA doesn't have to prove anything against NZ. They just need to beat the opponent in front of them on the day, including Wales. Unless you want all teams to play no one but NZ to get test points
If World Rugby stopped kissing NZ's arse at every available opportunity, and started by removing their 5 minute dance routine at the start of each and every game which gives them an unfair psychological edge, they'd be just another team like everyone else. Granted a decent one, but another one nonetheless.
They'd still be masters of the 5 feet in front of the receiving player "flat pass", but we know World Rugby reminds the officials that time and distance are relative concepts, so that's fine.

Why the hell do they have VAR if they can't see an obvious forward pass?
The commentor comments (19min & 40 seconds)sure he had to eat his words at the end of the match.
DDA had a 4 on 2 all he needed was to simply put it through the hands. Luckily we got the bounce of ball. Its just yet another poor decision on attack from our friend that can only do netball like pop passes in contact. Esterhuizen is 10 times the player DDA is.
It’s not a ‘poor’ decision. He kicks because he still doesn’t know how to pass lol, which is absolutely crazy
We had like three players on the far left, I think kicking made it a very contactable ball. Luckily the cover player was tackled and Kriel was spot on.
Passing was far better for me 😂😂😂😂
@ThaboMazwayi basics of attack is to execute on the law of averages as ball possession is king. It makes zero sense taking 100% of your own ball. Kicking it away turning it into a 50/50 situation. Its that mini moments against better opposition that will end up costing you tries. Simply going through the hands would have been easier and a for sure try scoring situation. Hacking it down field and hoping your support runners chases it down is more hope and faith than a strategy.
@bbmcars yeah he doesn't challenge the inside defence line as they know when he gets the ball he gun barrels straight into the defence. He doesn't offload does run on the weaker shoulder of the tackler. Nothing. It's basically a prop forward standing at channel 1 running straight. Then it takes a few secs to bring him down but the defence has time to realign. Thus rendering that few meters he made useless for creating space

@@user-hk8ec7vr8v Still need to kick penalties and conversions - just see how vital those were in the semis and final of the world cup. Can't get away from it. When tries are as scarce as hen's teeth (because the opposition defense is so good) then accurate kicking becomes vital.

Can someone explain the yellow card for unintentional head collision 😅
As a welsh man wales were terrible to be fair to South Africa better team better players and coaches were weren’t good enough
Didn’t watch the game so didn’t see the refs fully discuss the card, but sorry, is that not deemed a red card for head on head contact? Players are both upright and is a clear clash of heads. Even if the first SA tackler accelerates the contact, Willemse is still stood upright
unless you are own farrel , intentionally butting heads. Willemse was a collision at worst. Yellow card,. The 'administrators" are headless at the moment .
All in all it's a ridiculous rule.
Mitigating factor that probably kept it at a yellow card is that PSDT already tackled Dyer so he was not upright and was being pulled to ground. Willemse was also significantly bent, albeit an upright body.
12:40 🤌🏾🤌🏾
13:40 How the hell is an accidental head clash a yellow card? He even had his arms leading for the wrap tackle. Why isn't the bloke with the ball not carded for leading with his head into the tackle??

Hendrikse was quicker to the base of the ruck than he has been in the past.
Lots of interception by SA leading to a very high score, not much to be proud of....😅
Proof that you cant play third choice players and youngsters against the very best, you learn nothing. A half decent ref and a competent TMO would have been a bonus.
penalty kicks are not highlights.
Boks supporter. Why was the first penalty try a penalty try? I thought that only would occur if you knocked the ball on during an intercept attempt. The Welsh player knocked it back? Is it because he knocked it into touch?
Apparently it's because the knock (no attempt to catch the ball) prevented the Bok player from pouncing on the loose ball. Personally, I think it was a poor decision. we basically got a free try from a miss catch.
@@daaichommie708 I have to agree with you. A deliberate knock on I'd understand, but the Welsh player knocked it back which is perfectly legal. Only illegal thing I can think of is that you can't throw the ball out of play, you have to kick it I think. So that must be it.
How much more does Siya have to do to shut the mouths of the naysayers?
