Does anybody know where this is in the service manual? I have the Honda service manual that I can find nowhere in the manual please give me a page number and section
On my 2021 P-1000, in 4x4 low, with Diff Lock, under heavy load, it will pop out of Diff Lock, then 1 second later will SLAM back in. Not sure, but pause in motion seemed to indicate same problem in both front and rear Diff Lock. This happened 2x my last outing. I don't think it is a linkage proplem. What alse might it be?
@@russ9897 That is an excellent suggestion and I now think that is the problem. Is that something that could be fixed with an adjustment? I don't know the answer to your question.
@@wilfredlemon4961 any disengagement in low that jumps in and out is typically that range going out in the sub-transmission. Unfortunately you will have to remove it and have it rebuilt.
My 2018 was doing it the day I brought it home from the dealer 1.5 hours away. I got on TH-cam and there was a few videos on it, I adjusted it, it was off, and it's been working great since.
Honda has to do something about this issue mine has under 400km and same issue I tried adjusting several times. Thought I had it then took it off the jack and nope stuck in turf mode.
Does anyone have a video on the front diff adjustment? Mine goes in and the light comes on but doesn't stay in under throttle. Was told theres a nut adjustment under a cover..
I have a 2020 1000-5 . Having the same problem where you shift into 2 lock or 4 limited slip or 4 lock and it takes a while to display and or lock in.How much did you have to tighten the cables? Great video 👌.Dave
My brand new 2020 with 6 miles is doing exactly same thing. I will try this. This machine should be tweaked at factory and owner should not have to fiddle with it. Shame on you Honda.
I bought the factory manual
Where is it in the manual page and section
I cant find it

On my Honda pioneer I cannot shift 4wd to 2wd. Please give me some advice thanks!
First you need to confirm that it’s not shifting, put the unit on jack stands to make sure. It could be working but not showing up on the display.
SO how about a link to fix this?? I had to replace the cable to the rear differential as it had broken right at the adjusting device in that gear box

It could be your low going out in the sub-transmission , does it do it in high?

That’s good to hear, I bet it’s the most overlooked pre check item at the dealership.

Mine is the same tried adjusting but still have same problems

Front diff lock i mean.
My pioneer 1000 wouldn’t go into turf mode. Tinkered with the linkage like you and it’s working good now. Thanks.
When this was happening did you hear a loud clunking noise in the front diff. Mine is sounding like gears aren't lined up?
Wesley Keith, I never heard any clunking noises. My issue was isolated to the rear differential not wanting to engage into 2wd. My 4wd worked fine.
You should have said what adjustments you made
No, no.............I didn't want to know how to adjust it. I just wanted 6 minutes of nothing. My God.
Hey Russ how do you adjust the 4wd to diff lock adjust?
Dave, this is the video I used for the adjustment.

I didn’t have to adjust it much, I would definitely make small adjustments and ride it for a few days as opposed to make a big adjustment at first.
What about adjusting the 4wd to 4wd diff lock?

Are you having high rooms when driving over 35 miles per hour
Paul, sorry for the late response...I somehow missed your question. At this time I have had no issues with that.
Rpm
Paul Eletto Jr, I haven’t had that issue, typically around 2800-3k.
