Great job guys i have a 2013 3.6 journey. Your video saved me from junking the car because i could not find coolant leak causing car to randomly run hot. So now it will continue to run just for the cost of the cooler and my free labor.

Great job on the videos you provide 👍. I have a 2014 Journey with an extremely hard to work on 3.6vvt. From the infamous 6 cylinder tick to the current oil leak it's driving me nuts. More than anyone else you help me with information and how to make the repairs... thank you very much. Sadly, because of the engine design, the cost of repairs is greatly increased because of how much extra work is required to get to the parts...😭. Personally I can't afford it so I have to do the work or lose trade in value because of mechanical problems. So far I choose to keep this baby because in over 200k I've been blessed to be able to keep going without major break down...plus I'm amazed at how much value it holds.
Anyway thanks again for the great videos. The least support and appreciation I can show is to listen to your adds...and not cut them off. Thanks again.

I had a huge leak, bought some dye put it in the oil drove the car for a bit then waited till sunset used the black light flash light and BAM ! That leak was sticking out like a sore thumb. Now your video was most useful the only difficult thing is remembering to not forget to hook everything back up the way its came off.

the people saying you can do this without taking out the throttle body and such are right, but why would you not pull it out and do a cleaning when you have everything else out? especially on these POS Dodge Journey that everything breaks on em. found this very helpful, and am doing the entire clean and swap myself at home instead of $2500 at a shop

Nice job guys. Just have a question I am leaking coolant from there so I was just wondering if it could be a bad hose that I would need to replace no oil leak just coolent leak. Thinking about replacing the whole thing but the dealership wanted $400 just for the part

@@issacsantana4444 I'm so late to this but-the upper gaskets can go bad and it will leak coolant...the lower gaskets retains the oil...I've yet to find just gaskets for sale so replacing the whole thing is best...upgrade to aluminum(for some reason cheaper than the composite)

You don't really *need* to disconnect the wires from the injectors because it is possible to simply "flip" the manifold over (it will rotate clockwise after disconnecting the fuel supply line).

My journey mixes oil with the coolant I took it all out and about a new oil cooler I put it back together and drained coolant. It stopped overheating but it still leaked.
Note: I have flushed it with water so many times to make sure it doesn't have anymore. It still managed to leak the oil again.
Any tips on what might be going on?
    Thanks a lot.

Used this video to get the cooler out, the valley of the engine was full of coolant. It was a lot of coolant. The bottom of the oil cooler was cracked and all I had was gaskets so now I'm waiting for a new cooler to show up. I went with a newer model cooler, hopefully will fit. I compared photos, they look identical.

I repaired the oil cooler the first time and it messed up. The first time it was just leaking coolant into the valley. After I repaired it lasted 3 months until I had a major leak. Oil got into the coolant. Car was in bad shape. I ordered another oil cooler (aluminum) and after replacing and then doing the coolant flush to remove oil from the system I still had a leak. I drove the car about 10 times to clean and flush with the oil out of everything. Drove about five minutes at a time. Wouldn’t lose fluid until I drove. Even if the car say idling for hours. I finally found that leak in the radiator cap. I got a higher end safety cap and then I noticed after we drove a few miles that coolant was again POOLING IN THE DAMN VALLEY! AGAIN!!! WTF!? This time though the coolant is leaking on the passenger side. I assume the pressure from the new radiator cap pushed the coolant through the cooler and made it unseal somehow. Any ideas?
Nothing leaked again until I drove.

I have a 2014 dodge journey 3.6 engine I have a oil leak underneath the oil filter housing. So I took my car to the shop and they was supposed to replace the oil preasure sensor I drove the car for another month or so before I could get my car in for a appointment to get the leak fixed. However I was driving down the road and my check engine comes back on and then my oil pressure plummets to zero so I thought no big deal I'll just put oil in it and it would be fine boy how I was wrong. So make it sure i went got a diagnosis test done and the results was oil pressure sensor was stuck on close. I have a buddy telling me all I have to do is bleed the oil lines. Do you know how to do that? does anybody know
