The second half comeback was because Alabama went totally base defense.Beck was able to pick that apart but he had no clue what Bama was doing in the first half.Also after looking at even Becks successful passes they all tended to be under throws.That works for a while until it don’t,hence 3 ints.
Total base defense with zone that made them take almost 9min to drive for a TD. It was a good plan but you cant go 3 and out 5 straight times along with taking no time off the clock. That was the problem. The defense was gassed in the 4th and Beck finally hit some long passes. Learning experience for a whole new set of coaches that had never been in that position. If Bama plays Bama ball in the 2nd half its prob a 21pt win at least.
Ryan Williams is the only 2 time Mr Alabama in HS football history. I watched him play live a few times and there was no one even close to that kid on the field.
