Your comparisons/reviews have helped me decide to buy the rustler xl5 off of the Traxxas website. I also got the 2s LiPo battery and charger off of eBay. I don’t know if it’s because of the virus, but both of the darn things were sold out everywhere! There was only one color (blue) available on the website and sold out everywhere else I could find. The battery and charger also were sold out everywhere. I saw it was back in stock on the Traxxas site so I was planning on buying it, but 30 minutes later it was back to out of stock! Luckily there was a seller on eBay with good reviews who I finally found and bought the battery and charger. Anyways great comparison! I have found these to be the best rc comparisons on TH-cam. Keep up the great work!

So if they are stock im surprised the rustler is faster and better at pulling .The stampede lost the speed portion so it must be geared lower if the motors and batteries are the same.It lost the tug of war which im surprised due to maybe lower gearing .The Stampede has bigger tires so they should go faster due to bigger diameter.

I had a Bandit VXL to start with and I wasn't really happy with the performance in the grass so I made it into the Monster Bandit with Stampede tires. Turned out amazing, made a few videos on it. Thanks for the encouragement, always glad to hear positive feedback. Next on my list is probably the Rustler 4x4 or Maxx.

Yes these are stock batteries.
What battery did you run for them and did you put the higher gears on them that ships with them?
I used Powerhobby 50c 5200mah 2s lipo's with stock gearing.
