Personnel:
Robin Trower - guitar
James Dewer - bass, vocals
Bill Lordan - drums
There will never be another Bill Lordan on drums, James Dewar on bass/vocals, and Robin Trower. The fact that these 3 are not in the RRHOF is a crime. Trower Power forever and ever.
BIG AMEN !!!!!🙋
The hall is missing a spectacular array of bands and artists
💯
agreed he need to be in the RRHOF! for dure!!!
Fuck the hall of Fame! It's turned into a political shit show
It’s like his finger’s barely moved, yet all these notes came pouring out. What an absolute phenomenon he was and still is.
Love this line-up.
Dewars voice was perfect for Trowers blues.
James Dewar, RIP, my favorite singer, what a voice!!
Never disappointed seeing Robin Trower always a great show! Just another awesome guitar 🎸 player In a long line!!
James Dewar was such a talented singer and bassist 👌
Was in front of James for this show leaning on the stage. Loved it! managed to see him 11 times all together...The best!
Rock and roll hall of fame, they should be for sure:)
one of the greatest this lineup of trower band i swa in l.a. 1979 wow
Robin is so under appreciated !
His percussive rhythm guitar and phrasing is wonderful.., and way over looked.
Robb Trower’s legendary guitar licks just suck the air out of you. Nobody has that style. Marvelous!
My 5 year old daughter: What’s wrong with that mans face?
My 9 year old son: That’s what happens when the music comes out of your body and into the guitar.
Proud Dad moment
4syth definitely. Knew that at 9. Truly awesome.
Just tell them he's a Pollack ☺😚😙
Smart kid
Be proud dad. Very proud...😎
Dave that was a very effed up comment LOSER
My brother gave me the album Bridge of Sighs I never gave it back love the man awesome
YES, THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS OF ROCK HISTORY.THEY DESERVE TO BE IN THE ROCK H,OF,FAME. BOB😊
He’s got the greatest melt your face look!
One of the greatest Wah player’s!
The most underrated band!
I had an older brother by 5 years, so I grew up listening to my bothers music. Rock, good rock. And I remember being blown away when I heard Trower. Snuck my bothers albums and played Trower for friends. One friend called it "tough music" when he heard Trower. "Man, that's tough music, the guitar playing is far out. (yeah we were children of the 60's) Not many years later at 16 years old I found myself at Winterland in San Francisco at a Robin Tower concert, totally grooving on "tough music"
I have all of Robin's albums from my brothers collection. (vinyl, look it up kids lol) My brother has since passed, but I will crank up some Trower to "11" for my brother, wherever he may be listening.
Hot damn! This is real music made by three monsters live and in person. No synthesizers, auto tune, big sets, fancy lighting, dancers, or candy-ass BS, just get down and kick butt blues-rock-Nendrixian guitar. I saw this trio back in the day and they absolutely crushed it! Thank you, Robin Trower!
Nothing wrong with synthesizers. you still have to play the notes.
couldn't ask for a better singer for Robin he is missed .
And I saw them back in 75 and other times my favorite band of all times
The ultimate guitar faces on " the fool & ME,,,,
Robin had way too much fun with the end of this song! Excellent. Karl
These guys are all together tight and tasty funky and Sassy Robin is a hell of a guitarist obviously so is James Dewar and Bill Lordan one of my favorite Power trios
That badass rhythm ... with all the fixins!
Saw Robin Trower in 2019, man was on fire and still has “it”. His bassist was very good, as was drummer. Music had me in a heavyyy trance, hypnotic, he’s got the best “guitar face”. Massive talent, he and his guitar become one. First heard of him way back in 1974 when older bro added “Bridge of Sighs” to album collection. Blew my 15 yr old socks off! Love you Robin Trower❤
Robin's guitar and James' voice, his visionary style of playing, singlehandedly changed the type of music l love and listen to today. Thank you Robin, and you Mr. Dewar!! (RIP)✌
Forever in my heart you are Robin Trower!
At his best. Fantastic. With Bill Lordan on drums.
He makes it look easy. And he really seems to be having fun. Great performance.
Now that's some serious guitar work.
exquisitly beautiful guitar tone
Excellent band!!! 👍
I saw them in 1978 and I’ll never forget it!!!!
Robin Trower Concert in Nashville. April 8, 2016. - Marathon Music works "Too Rolling Stoned"

Me? Trower concert 3/15/75.
Robin set the bar here so high
Unmatched
RObin Feels every note!
Awesome. I'm so glad that they filmed this.
My first concert. : Pablo Cruise, Journey, Robin Trower - We were 16. Winterland was an epic concert hall. The whole scene was a mind bender for a guitar kid wannabe and adults alike. I blew through 2 or 3 copies of Bridge of Sighs learning every note including this song. We had no tab, no internet. We had vinyl and the will to use our ear to suck every note out that was possible.
Trower's Guitar Is Talking The Blues Effortlessly
OMG! This is unbelievable, LOVEEEE this sound. They were the greatest, and Robin still is.
That has got to be the funkiest Robin Trower beat I've ever heard...and the protracted feedback to wrap it up woulda made Jimi blush. Pure class.
Use to listen to robin trower while smoking a joint in college good old days.
Pure class, Mr. Trower!
.
I wore the grooves off this album....
Me too! (Hope you're able to see this four years later).
Timeless...
Guitar playing Can’t Get Any Better
I've always been an RT Fan & let's give it up for the original trio Bill Lordan percussion
James Dewar on bass & lead Vocals right up with Jack Bruce ❤️
Was there for that show! So many great concerts at Winterland! I was lucky to have been able to enjoy and see so many great groups there! Saw Robin with Procol Harum in 1967 in Germany. They were on first before The Bee Gees!
My first concert was seeing him at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, probably 1974 time frame. Totally awesome concert, I will always remember his guitar work
I once had the first live album they made it was a fantastic album. Wish I still had it.
"He was wild, passionate and abrasive, yet all his work was imbued with his personal gentleness. He was an artist extravagantly generous with his beauty."
--Michael Lydon -from the New York Times Obituary for Jimi Hendrix, 9/27/1970
Applies to Robin Trower as well (in the present tense, thankfully).
SO TALENTED!!!!
Yes , yes , yes !
exelent drum
Love this band
These guys are the real shit, fucking great, 👍👍 I love robins tone that why I got my strat ,.
Love Trower. I've seen him over 20 times . Yep I'm old 😂
Music is universal❤
Saw him at the Baltimore Civic Center mid 70s I’m 69 and cherish the fond memories
Fantastic!! A monster.
just a great group.
Who could have lived up to Trower & Dewar?
great show
I met him in 1986 after his amazing concert , Friendly and Intelligent
I was there! with my friend Tom Murphy! My senior year at SCU; sitting in the Fillmore Bar, watching on the black and white movie screen! Classic and unforgettable!
I have always prefered the 3 piece band concept. I knew Jimmi Hendrix and always wanted to meet Robin Trower and Jeff Beck. Those 3 were and are my heroes and influencers in music.
great
GIT IT ROBIN!!
Bay Area fan.
🙏
Seen these guys Masonic temple Detroit 1981ish what a great band
Intense!! 🎉🎉
Man that vibrato...
This and Shame the Devil are my two most fav songs.
absolute king of the stratocaster
Saw him play at Toad's place in New Haven CT. Power trio! and what power it was!
We see him every year he plays at the House of Blues in Kissimmee Florida around November and hes 74
Pure Funk Groove getting laid down here! Bass!
Oh my gosh this is so good! I think heard this when I was younger on the radio
"The guitar in Legend "performin' in the release "Fool and Me" (2019)
Now on air by American Road Radio!
At 1:40, Bill Lordan (drummer) does a beat. I am a drummer and it is not a hard riff, but Bill just hammers it! Bill Lordan: one of my favs!
Cream Of The Crop! HUP-HUP!
So that's where Jimi got it
That sound and very few if Any Pedals.....
Yeah that'll never happen again
Robin Trower one of the G.O.A.T !!
This is off topic, but i missed out seeing so many bands because my ears could not take the volume.
He is a great ax man my favorite one is srv
Trower rules, baby!
He makes it look so easy....
Such and amazing player and more importantly such a great composer and lyricist! I look at the whole Hendrix-Trower thing like I look at the relationship between Richard and C. Berry. The 'Keffister' sure borrowed a lot of licks from Chuck--but made (with them) a whole new vocabulary of his own. Same for Trower.
Univibe..Wah Wah and JHE guitar patters is LIFE
Amazing, and RT is still playing these stunning riffs and being faithful to his power trio good old days, as we can see from his Rockpalast concert in Bonn, unlike EC who is really a 'commercial' name...who hardly plays anything, he just olds his guitar in his hands and relies on his 60's reputation...
AWESOME STUFF
Whoa, talk about shredding a guitar! In 1987, his epic album, "Bridge of Sighs" was released. Every track on that album was awesome! The only artist I think tops him with that kind of guitar work was the late, great Eddie Van Halen. Check out his solo on "Eruption" from their debut album released in 1978. Dynamite!
1974
Very very cool !!! ;-)
No One But ? The Fool and Me :)
This wass his"Filmore East"...
LSD grove matched by no other....
Power Trio second only to Cream.
Now that's a band.
sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come, because everyone likes to listen to music and love peace and animals.
Mother's Friendship 5 X 5
Mother's Friendship 5 5 5 5 5
Fran Records Costa Rica, USA, Paraguay, Philippines, Spain and Germany
he captured the spirit of Hendrix......otherwise no human alive can play, compose, and sung like Hendrix ever........
Trower is 48 years better than Hendrix, think about it !
@jon jon goufema liames zenbin pinfen Go to bed, you'll be late for school !
TROWER POWER DETROIT AREA
The tempo is a little fast. Still,...peerless 70's rock. Started riding the bus into the City at 15 to see shows at Winterland but huge regrets I missed this one.
Robin is the man, 48 years better than Hendrix !
Seventies
