4:58 that is nakamoto yuta - a striking vocalist, visual, dancer and performer. sm doesn't allow him to shine as much as he deserves but he's a true artist. in this album you can hear him more and in this song his sweet voice in japanese and high note "...i'm not alone" is what i hope we will hear more and more in the future

Yes!! I don't think anyone can deny that SM has the overall best vocals in the industry. They have incredible vocal trainers who actually properly teach their artists how to sing in a healthy and sustainable way with great technique while still maintaining good tone, style, and emotion. They don't try to change anyone's voice, they help them enhance and use their natural voice in a better way. They focus on improving the artist's approach to singing and achieving consistent vocals that sound amazing without straining or damaging their voice. AND they work on building self-confidence and composure. This has been proven time and time again, and this is why I respect and appreciate SM vocals.

They are so underrated, especially when it comes to their b-sides and R&B songs. Nct is known for their complex and different style of music but their ballads, r&b and soulful songs, they really hit different; and I'm not even going to talk about their vocals cause this comment would be too damn long. You gotta love R&B from SM Entertainment. They do it so damn well. From TVXQ all the way to NCT now.
The amazing thing about this song is that each vocalist got to sing in his native language, hence the various parts in Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese. It makes the line "It all starts from home" so much more meaningful.
That "soul" that they have for someone their age is probably thanks to Yoo Young Jin, SM's most respected in-house composer/producer, second only to Lee Soo Man. The man just understands R&B, and his works for DBSK, EXO, and SHINee is a testament to that (remember Tell Me What Is Love with Dominic?). Idk what he does with them during their training, but they came out singing like they grew up listening to this music, and I'm glad it's that way.

i gotta agree with you, SM has always been on top when it comes to producing idols with great vocals. back in days SM= Vocals/ Visuals, YG= Rapper, JYP= Dancers. i was a huge YG stans but with SM recent releases with NCT, not only their vocals are on point, they can really rap and dance so well i just gravitate towards them.

This is such a beautiful and loving song and for them to bring back that old school vibe is sooooo nice! It's a big hit ㅋㅋㅋ It's been a long time since I'm a man, but this is an authentic sm ballad. The harmony also has a unique feeling of sm, but I kept getting goosebumps while listening to it.
Singing songs in Chinese and Japanese in the middle is also creepy, and the overall tone and visuals of the nct members seem to be amazing. I'm going to use this to make it with an algorithm!!
