I stay true to my class Masqueraider. Even though we fall off, I like kicking and being close. There is a power balance, and this last update has lots of bugs. Hopefully they change and make some balance.
Great video. The issue really stems from the nature of the competitive environment. Players will always gravitate to whats will then be considered the "meta." There no balance/ fixes/ changes that can solve this. There will always be something on top. If not sadidas, its this class, or that class. This is true with fighting games to even competitive pokemon. Theres is no balance but rather just whats the current meta and how do you engage with it or work around it. Subbed!
Imagine being Ouginak main, or Steamer, Feca, Cra, Rogue They're all reworked classes, Rogue was even reworked the same patch as Eca, but they dont come close to Eni and Sadi
Well yes, an MMO with a team of less than 10 people working on it and a company who doesn't want to put money and effort into it is going to end up having a problematic end game... Sadly.
I'd say the endgame state of the game is hideous but at this point seems like is all the whole game is falling apart, most of players get demotivated by how stronger are those 4 classes, the more you lvl up you start to notice the power creep and eventually you feel like a carried bag, whoever tells you the opposite is probably only focusing on ALS or doing 0 income content. I've seen a lot of people telling me sadi is not broken, eni is weak, this and that, and honestly those people don't even do yummy content, like they just focusing on doing 216 dailies and that's it, but oh well I guess we all know they server has lost 80% of its player base by the poor balance and no rewarding endgame content
The irony about Wakfu is its intention is to be a variant from Dofus. Siu recently disclosed on Live Stream that Kolo will never be coming to Wakfu. While that’s fine we inevitably assume their focus is far more aligned with PvM content. Leaderboards showcase how horrid the balance is even when discussing solely PvM. I’m a big believer in the vision of the dev team, and I do believe that a patch focused directly on completing the final four revamps and rebalance of the other fourteen classes is becoming an extreme necessity. The disparity between classes has been so immense the past decade.
I played Wakfu on the open beta back in 2012-2014 and am coming back to playing now. The game was absolutely wonderful back then, and I feel like the current state, comparing with the feeling I had during the beta, is that it is patch by patch losing its identity and becoming a regular, blank, MMO. Nothing screamed this more onto my face than the removal of haven bag trading in detriment to creating a big, centralized, market interface (as if one thing excluded the other). Haven bags was one precious and exclusive element of the game, it made a showcase and an personal identity of each player and char. You could sometimes find a rare item you were lookig for for sale, randomly walking around and exploring, or something common but with a good price. Now, your only option is playing numbers on a big screen. Environmental stuff? Totally ignored and makes no difference to players. Politics? Nobody cares about it. Crafting? Maybe, for min maxing stuff, and just a few players. There's no identity anymore. I give it one or two more years for Wakfu to be nothing but a generic MMO.
My Iop is outdated. And the class reworks or other things are making them way overpowered, so there's no balance. And the game is way too static, same things day by day, and effortless updates.
Honestly with all the weird updates and reworks, it's really hard getting into this game because not all of the classes were updated, so I might chose a team with classes that are suspected to be outdated from one day to the next without warning. I frankly don't know what's a safe bet for playing a 3 characters team now.
As a wakfu player since 2014, the cra’s(my main) rework was the final nail in the coffin for me. Ankama absolutely murdered the class by turning it from an agile versatile archer to essentially a stationary turret that’s very awkward to play and removed every spell and passive that made the class interesting and unique in the first place.
I was expecting so much from cra rework i was heavily disappointed with a lot of things with the rework even got banned from beta discord for saying the rework was garbage ,( im not even talking about how the classes you talk about are broken) cra is also boring and the rework is basicaly them vomiting an ancient version of cra and calling it rework
Did you even play Cra prereworks? Its damage rotation was literally spam Explosive Arrow on Fire Beacons... And it literally had a melee attack... the ranged class that shoots arrows had a MELEE ATTACK.
Like any other mmo out there, if you are not having fun with your class than the game is not for you , if you worried about witch is the most op class even do you won't liek the class than the game is not for you, what's your option well just quit and find something alse that your favorite class/hero/job is on top of the meta
Bro, any decent game will always have a "meta" class/build/lineup etc. changes will come. Deal with it. I've been playing this game since max level 150 and you won't even believe what the meta used to be.
I came to say this too. I remember on release you couldnt even play Rogue unless you were Bomb Rogue because of how insanely overpowered their damage was with Fire Wall and bombs. Leveling a Cra was miserable back then too and even worse... beacon sneak was barely movement and pushing enemies away while still doing damage with air totems was difficult.
well, noone said the game shouldn't change but, there are changes to think about, ofc that there will always be a meta but, have you ever wondered why? there are games with balanced classes, the thing is, ankama does little effort into actually thinking and working on it. do you find it normal that most classes can't get the top 1 rewards because they are bad instead of being the player's fault? it should be a skill issue not an issue with the classes that don't really do anything, no damage, no shields no heals, nothing...
this game would be so so much easier and enjoyable to play if ankama separated pvp from pve... Some games actually are like "ok this skill stuns and does this damage BUT in pvp this skill doesn't stun and does less damage" all they needed to do, instead of trying to balance both, why not separate them since they are alot different?
Its weird too cause from my experience ecaflip fuckin sucks. Guess it ultimately comes down to personal preference. I've been playing elio ever since the rework and the damage output is pretty nuts, you get a 60% damage boost just for existing. You see alot of new players running around as elio probably cause of the show tbh
Idk I'm having a shit ton of fun with Sadida. I just can't die cause of the self healing options and I can do a good portion of damage at the same time.
Endgame pvm is dead anyways with the new update, all sublimations drop are lvl sync only and there is absolutely no sublimation in the 230 lvl making a useless level bracket. Lvl 230 items don't even sell anymore. Pvp is heavily unbalanced so the only classes played are eni xelor and Sadi
The fact that Hupper is a "jack of all trades" yet has no -res is so weird. Even if they don't reach the -200 res other classes can with ease, how do they not have -10 to -25 res on elemental attacks as a passive yet? And of course it'd come with a massive drawback if they did, like -10 or -25% dmg on elemental attacks. That and Hupper being just a worse Sadida atm is sad. Sadida gains decent armor, great heals and does great dps in a turn, Hupper does decent armor, decent heals and maybe can still push some ok dps in a turn. Hupper really should be the most "balanced" class, or the one class everything gets balanced around. "All classes can do something better than hupper but hupper can do them all" use to be a thing, now it's irrelevant because several classes simply do everything better than hupper. Hupper should be feared because they can change out their strategy mid combat at any moment, being able to exploit any weakness if they play right, but who cares when you can just crap out 20-30k dmg every turn and force them to waste their turns to heal. It's never a good sign when the jack of all trades class gets so outpaced by other classes, let alone one.
i dont think a pvp players opinion should be voiced when talking about pvm as a whole. also youre playing in a single account/player server of course players will choose to play classes that work best solo and with a team.

whats the porpouse of a melee attack if you're going to spent points on your ranged domain stat since you're a ranged class

I recommend playing any trio in the character creation page as they occur naturally.
