I don't do echo shard for my turrets. I do a maximized life steal build where everything I have goes towards damage, passive cool down, and armor. The build is called "Head of the Occult-Industrial Complex" if you're curious, it's all the items you may want or need. Once you get to late game, replace the dedicated "spirit/bullet life steal" items with their respective improved armors to make the life steal you have significantly more effective
I've gone back and forth on whether or not Echo Shard is worth it and I think it fundamentally is. The base stats on it are great - 1 m/s *move* speed, +28 spirit power, and 16% bullet resist are all things we get a lot of value out of. With Superior Cooldown and Rapid Recharge, both your Mini Turret and Echo Shard have a cooldown of around 16 seconds in terms of how often each of them produce a turret. Meaning with Echo Shard, you are effectively doubling your turret uptime. In addition, it lets you deploy turrets faster in a scenario where you need to set up quickly. I think if you're doing a turret centric build, you just miss out on too much value without it.
@@CilantroGamer and u spent 6k for 1 turret every 20sec, you could buy better items and get more value out of your turrets. For example Mystic vulnerability literally more than doubles the dmg on a target since you can stack 6x20 6% increased dmg debuffs and you stack them really fast with turrets/ult. (also increases ult dmg by x2times once ramped so its not only turret dmg), I tried to min max my McGinnis build, if you want to check it out its called "muh turrets". Also monster round seems a waste also since it scales weapon dmg against monsters when you will eventually clear with turrets/ ult most of the time anyway.
Echo shard almost doubles your turrent cooldown. Also gives you ability to double wall, or double heal. Trading it for other "spirit damage" doubtful gives you x2 damage.
Does Echo shard only reset the cooldown of one charge of your turrets or did I misunderstand whats happening? Because if it only resets one charge why not just take rapid recharge? For double wall?
I went from 2nd last on my team (losing) to being first place overall in everything, but kills on my first attempt with the build. What items to finish the build off with? I sold two level 1 items for Healing Bane, Enduring Speed, and finished off with Soul Shredding Bullets. The build naturals into Escalating Exposure and Superior Duration.
As tempting as it is to rely on superior cooldown and drop rapid recharge from the build, it feels so sluggish to drop turrets in a fight without recharge. The reduction in time between charges is a pretty big deal.
I'm not sure if they have a limit or not on the amount of turrets you can have up at one time. I think after 30 seconds the turrets will die. Duration spirit upgrades can keep them around longer.
@@timeskull663 yeah, there are a lot more players that are better than him, aim-wise like shroud, recrent, uhhh i dunno any other ex/pros who play deadlock xd Recently saw Aceu play it and he was beaming low mmr players on wraith like he has an aimbot on, as well as popping every blue soul ball like he is playing aimlabs with his life at stake (but then he later said that the game is "just OK, dunno if ill be playing it again") So with mikaels i think is just a LOT of game hours, cause he was playing it even before the word got out about this game, but in the future there will definitely be a lot more TOP players besides him.

some advice: ur intro is good but you should only use the carbine sound once. i would suggest the time bomb be used instead and make either the first of final sound be the carbine.
Place turrets around you before ulting, if they dash on you cancel ult, drop heal, place turrets, run around the rosie and your turrets should do the trick. Mcginnis is rather tanky too with the innate 25% spirit resist
I like watching your content, but I keep ending up on your videos when I'm searching for a guide. You're only posting gameplay footage, and not even talking about it either. It would be nice if you titled the videos more accurately. This is not a guide at all, and the title is very misleading "How to..." You have the skill to make it big on YT but I'm gonna stop watching your videos if they do not align with your titles.
Not everyone can maximize and make twitch clips like those guys, nor do we have the best aim or reactions. We have the most fun by winning the long game or enabling our teammates... and just being in the right place at the right time.
When compared to other heroes, yeah, I think so. Even some other boring heroes like Haze, Seven, and Bebop require a bit of skill to stomp the enemy. Placing turrets is an easy skill, you only need smart placement (like behind the one-way cover during laning) or cover yourself from enemy bullets. Healing got a huge buff since the area scales with spirit power and you can place it anywhere. Only the wall ability requires timing skill and placement to annoy the enemy. Her ult is weak and short, Bebop has a similar ult and it's better when it comes to AoE and range.
she is very slow, you need skill to know where and how to best set up your turrets, how to not get cought out since you have no escape besides the wall.

That Viscous is tviq ex-tf2 and overwatch pro, I played against him sometimes in tf2 10 years ago haha
That Viscous is clutch af holy moly
It's actually a ex overwatch pro :P
You can look straight up, so your ult will hit on top of you!
Not anymore
rapid recharge lowers time between turret casts from 5s to 2.2s
If you are next to a wall you can shoot it if they get to close to hit them when you ult. You can also look straight up and it will land around you.

Diviner’s Kevlar feels like it would slot in nicely here with the metal skin to play beside.

It resets the last non-ultimate ability. You can have double everything!

bruh what if you put up a wall behind the enemies, then echo fragment to reset it and put another one in front, trapping them? is it possible?

This build is a menace in teamfights lmaoo Imma try this
Heroic aura works with turrets?
Yes, that synergy is one of the reasons I tend to see the item in McGinnis builds. Also just nice for her main weapon too.
Turrets count as minions so they get the 40% passive part of heroic aura, they don't get the 25% part of the active though
That come faster comms was unexpected
And then McGinnis immediately says "I'm ready to get my hands dirty" lol
got nerf in the the latest update but it still good to play.
