Thank you for your kindness in sharing your knowledge and expertise with us, Dr Markham. I truly believe the work we do (what you're teaching us) as parents have the ability to change a generation, and change human for the better. I feel my job as a parent is ever so important, thanks to you sharing with us so much insights into the child's (human's) brain 🎉
I am grateful for all the knowledge you are willing to share. You are a true gift to society; feel blessed for all your talent and gift that is on you.
This was just what I needed. Understanding the science behind the method always lifts me up because this style feels so right to me and is different from how much of my family parents. It harder in the moment with three kids at different stages and worth the long term gains for us all. Thank you for putting this on.
Thanks! It does makes a difference to be responsive instead of reactive. Work in progress for me. With my preteens I find it harder to read what they need
Your videos are great!! I love the video you did about peacefully handling tantrums. I wish I had been held and listened to in this way. I had a insecure attachment unfortunately so therefore have more anxiety as a result. I am trying to repair things at least by giving my child a secure attachment!
Thanks for the reminder of how it all works, love learning about the science behind it too. I’m so glad I took your course a couple of years ago. It changed the dynamics in my family and we’ve all grown so much as a result. Thank you 😊
Great timing! This video helped so much today and meant aa discussion i had with my middle child went so much better to address an incident at school. Thanks for the tools.
I feel like I stay pretty calm. My child even described me as a dolphin and said she chose that animal for me because she thinks of dolphins being calm. However my daughter gets very irritated and dysregulated. It did take me a while to be this calm in my parenting I did pretty well for the most part but grew up in an abusive household and was taken away from my father for said abuse at age 12 so in the past her anger or hitting was a huge trigger and although I did not yell I was not calm everytime. Is it too late for her brain to be rewired? If I keep at this will it get better? She is 7 now... will our relationship improve over time?

Really great informative video! Thank you so mucu Dr Laura 💕
I love your work Dr Laura Markham, I wish I had found you many years ago, when my 8-year-old daughter was smaller. Thank you!

Thanks for reminding me to try to accept my child’s feelings and to try to be present with them during their ups and downs.
❤We all need that reminder!
