- My goal is to see as many states in the United States and to do that I travel by van which is my home on wheels. I live in a van full-time. My ultimate goal is to visit as many countries as possible outside of the US and to do that I fly. I go from vanlifer to a nomad. On this channel, you get a mix of everything you get full-time vanlife, and you get a nomad(me) who travels by air land and sea. My life is unpredictable and adventurous.

Hi Naomi, fellow Chicagoan, this is why it’s not called Chicago Mix. Chicago Mix" trademark owner Candyland sued Cornfields and other popcorn makers in 2014 to protect the name for its proprietary blend of cheese, caramel and regular popcorn. Chicago-based Garrett (incorporated as CaramelCrisp) stopped using the name later that year. Try Do Rite Donuts!

I spent a week at hamburger university as I was a manager at a McDonalds. I then became a NYC teacher. Each floor was named for each part of the Big Mac. No Joke. It was an intensive training. Love teaching more. :). Merry Christmas everyone.

Yes. You are on the south side of the city in the Hyde Park neighborhood, if you were at the Museum of science and industry. It is very much the city with a very, very rich history. There is so much more to Chicago than the downtown area. So much more. The neighborhoods is where the food and the culture and history are at. Go to the neighborhoods!

Don’t send her to “all” the neighborhoods! Nope! 👎🏽 Yes, I agree the food is delicious in most of the distinct neighborhoods but the environments of some of the neighborhoods are too sketchy-especially for a tourist. Lincoln Park is on the north side of Chicago and it’s a beautiful neighborhood with history and interesting architecture. Lots of bars and restaurants. You will enjoy that section of the city too Nomi!

Hey Nomi, you’re on State street downtown. Different vibe from North Michigan avenue. And yes, the Museum of Science and Industry is located in Hyde Park, which is still very much considered the city, it’s just outside of the Loop or downtown. Lol! You were still in Chicago and definitely in a nice part too! You look like you’re having sooooo much fun! And I’m glad you are! Can’t wait to join you on your next adventure!

Years ago, a friend of mine came to visit me from Chicago and brought me some Garrett's popcorn. At first I was like "Oh. Popcorn." until I tried it. I cannot eat any other popcorn ever since. Fortunately, they have a Garrett's in NY, but I do intend to try it once I finally get to Chicago.
And the only time I've ever had a shrimp burger was, ironically at a McDonald's in Tokyo, and it was better than anything I've ever ordered at McDonald's anywhere.

Had you walked 3 blocks north and 3 blocks wesr, you'd been in Downtown Hyde Park. I paused @16:24 to yes, Garrett’s mixed popcorn is most definitely a PROBLEM! That is the BEST popcorn in the world, in my opinion! And your Uber ride passed by my old office bldg. It was the bldg with the Giordano’s. I retired from UIC and the university rented office spaces in that same bldg. I tell ya it was dangerous having a Giordano’s on the first floor. 😂
