Ok. This is for anyone who comes on this channel to give UNASKED for opinions about what Katie is sharing with us. No one cares about your opinion on breeding on the foal heat. You guys feel free to come here and bash her decision. You seem to think one unrelated incident should dictate all her decisions going forward. Did you not notice the vet there? She sought EXPERT medical opinion before making her decision. Had the vet noticed ANYTHING questionable, she would have made a different decision. And in the wild, they rebreed on foal heat naturally. These mares get the best care going forward, all the best nutrition , and she inspects each one daily for ANY signs of a problem. If needed, that vet is on speed dial to get there fast. I am sure she doesn't spare any expense if needed. At the end of the day, yes, it is a business. But her love and passion for the mares and babies come first. So give her a break and remember no one cares for your unasked for opinion! Oh, and don't forget you can leave and unsubscribe to her channel!

Katie is a horse breeder, her parents are breeders, and they ALWAYS call in the experts. That’s why they have such an exceptional breeding program, why her foals are bought every season because she uses exceptionally good bloodline sires. As with every breeding program there are injuries and deaths, and with Cool, she saw the vet frequently before her death, which was quickly. Look at what she has done with Seven. Most breeders would have put him down, he’s a male, rehab is going to be expensive, however Katie’s faith in God, her compassion for life, and her kind heart is doing everything possible for him. JUST BECAUSE IT’S A PUBLIC PLATFORM, it’s an educational platform for those looking to go into husbandry, so if you don’t have anything to help people, keep it to yourself.

Love this channel, been watching since early, early on, way back when it was just tik tok and facebook! Anyways just one thing I wanted to point out is that she tends to cut the vet off when he's trying to answer her question and she usually asks him another question so we don't get the original question answered. Not trying to be mean at all, I've just noticed it the last few videos with the vet. She is very intelligent and knows her horses very well and I enjoy watching. Just wanted to say something because I'm sure she doesn't notice.

Me at age 78, I researched Embryo transplant and arrtificall insemination
Figured if I installed TicTok at my age. to keep better track of Seven. .. I could find out more about these topics. But a lot of her viewers need things more basic.

Here's something that will make you go hmmm. Freezing the site of harvest most usually leaves the area numb much like a frozen gum or tooth at the dentist. So a patient doesn't react to the incision usually, the patient reacts to the thought of the invasion, the psychological perception of perceived pain and the patient's loss of control even for the shortest time over her body. Some patients find the stress of this procedure overwhelming and may be given a light (10 mg) sedative to comfort them. I am sorry for your discomfort
and please ask for anything to a help the overwhelming feeling of need for support in any surgery procedure. Our little missus get a little cocktail that usually calm them so the ovum chanel remains open during the delivery of the specimen into Mama'sand has an open channel for the retrieval canister has a unobstructed .

Last time this came up the vet said he would be nervous letting Gracie foal again.
The only way to be sure would be the biopsy. Katie jumped right on it.
Gracie had a hard time in 2023. Needed to be pulled. Not helped a bit but flat pulled.
Been there for myself. Years ago, none of this possible. I hope she at least leaves Gracie out of it.
I am pretty invested in Sevens outcome. But I could also go your way easily.

I've been commenting the same exact thing. Just lost a mare and foal for unexpected health reasons now your not giving this mare an proper amount of time to heal up from just giving birth?! Ridiculous. Being pregnant takes A LOT out of a females body. Animals go through the same thing. Just like dog breeders constantly getting their dogs pregnant to keep popping out babies. Just because there's a vet there doesn't mean anything. Her uterus could rupture, hemorrhage, anything from carrying back to back. It's sad. No regard for the mare imo. Just dollar signs.
