So, this is certainly a notorious record amongst fans of Swans... and I'll be honest, even I don't like this one much. I don't thinkt here's anything wrong with trying something new, especially with a band as creative as Swans. The problem for me, lies with the production of this album. With Bill Laswell taking the helm and making a lot of decisions that he seems to think is best... we end up with a Swans record that really doesn't feel like a Swans record whatsoever. These songs deserved much better than the treatment Bill Laswell gave them. But, it is what it is. And it's not an abhorrent record that is completely unlistenable... it's just disappointing.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who thought “The Long And Winding Road” was less than overwhelming.
One of those songs that doesn’t do much for me 🤷♂️ always been more of a George Harrison fan anyway!
Have you ever listened or heard of the band (Godspeed You! Black Emperor)?
I recommend Checking out (F# A# ∞) and (Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven), if you haven't listened to them before.
Without a doubt, one of my favourite bands of all time. Our drummer owns the vinyl for F#A#, and if I ever get a script for it done, we’ll be going through the entire physical release together for it
@@glumburger I just recently listened to (F# A# ∞) and (Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven) and they are both really good and I can see where (SWANS) got their inspiration for the post Hiatus trilogy.
@@glumburger When do you think you'll listen to (Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven) or have you already listened to that one?
The video is back!
I have no idea what you could possibly mean. The video arrived when it meant to….. 👀
@@glumburgerfor me, it appeared on my sub feed then disappeared a couple hours later, it still isn't on there, and I thought it was deleted or something
@6.thedollar415 aye, the video accidentally went live in the morning rather than the evening 🤦♂️
I love the album but it isn’t my favorite album. It’s an odd album for them
