Glad your not doing anything irreversible, that really is too nice to butcher. I've no problem when something like this is a dog and it gets rebreathed upon, but when they are as nice as that one... Good call 🙂
My thinking exactly. Everything including the wiring loom will be kept safe and separate. And the colour isn’t the original either. It’s a bad paint job when you look closer
That's a really clean R100 ... wish it was mine :) Fresh fluids. New filters. Sonic clean the Carbs. Adjust the valves (I hear some slight tapping)... and she's ready to hit the road!
This almost looks to easy for you always love the custom scene for these rides .Racer tv has some iconic BMWs on it' channel . Mongrel is still my favourite .
@@forthebold I have the 16 cell on my r100 and I would never go down...I can promiss that you will need it. Specially when I dont use the bike it needs a little more cranking😝
Love your builds would love to see you do an old 2 stroker street bike I have a Suzuki titan and am absolutely in love with the old strokers 5hat were the king's for so long
@@forthebold that's why I mentioned the road bike and if ya picked up an old one not running for a project they are not expensive at all... Thank you for the reply
Thanks for another great video! Those older air heads will sometimes have oil leak into the left cylinder if the bike is left on the side stand. Could be why you're getting a lot of smoke on startup. As a veteran BMW owner try keeping it on the center stand and see if, when it starts, it's still smokey. If it is, might need some rings.
@@forthebold Im not sure if you have answerd this in a later video but you should never put an old airhead on its side stand for more then a couple minutes, the oil will run over and keep the engine dry on the righthand side. Just for further knowledge :)
This is going to be fun ... I don’t know if you know this but there’s a guy I think Japanese who builds these awesome BMW cafe his work is top notch actually both of you are amazing builders ...his channel is 46works I think ...worth checking out ...
I have an R100T that’s similar to yours but I can’t bring myself to customise. I have rattier bikes hence my R100T is for sale...... Not a classic as such but a nice, period bike that should have more miles ridden in standard trim. Looking forward to seeing the transformation.
these bike just don t like starting leaned on one side. That s why they come with a center stand. it s because of the carbs. It sounds like it needs some valve clearances but still in good shape.

Wow that is in such a good condition. Bought an R100 with my dad, we’ll be doing the same to it, can’t wait to see how you do it
Amazing best of luck
Love the R100T. I used to have a 1980. Great bike. Glad you’re doing reversible mods.
Yeah apart from the colour that’ll be the only permanent change. But it’s not the original colour either.
hats off to you for building four bikes at once in a garage of that size.
Ha. Technically 3 as I’m not including the Maico. But yes is still taking up space

Is a super straight job. A little leak from the right cylinder that’s it.
Aah will br one my most fav builds on TH-cam because
1. For the bold
2. R100😍🔥
Thank you.
that sound is simply gorgeous
Sure is. That wobble you get from the engine also is.
Wooo excited to see what you do with it
Thanks
Stoaked for this build will be waiting in anticipation for sure 🤙
It will be a quick but fun one for sure.
Lmao "You have to book two weeks in advance if you want to stop" 🤣
It's true
Thank you for being thoughtful about conserving the historic value of this bike.
Absolutely.
Absolutely:)

Thanks. Yeah compared to the Mongrel or even the Ducati this will be a quick one.
I dont know which project am I waiting to be concluded the most... Cheers buddy!!
Thanks for watching.
I love this bike, is totaly my dream
It is a beauty
What amazing bike! I would keep the original headlight if possible as it’s an iconic part of that bike.
Good choice!
This i am looking forward to. I have just finished my cx500 scrambler build and now want to do s bmw r100 rt they make mad scramblers
They do look awesome
Been waiting for you to do an r100 build.
Me too! Long wait
Finally here
Very nais bike, looking forward to see what you make of it🙂 Ps: you need the 16 cell antigravity for this😉
I was looking at the 16 cell too, but the 12 cell CCA does match up too.

There’s one 2 stroker on the channel and that’s the Maico. But any road bike 2 strokes are very expensive nowadays.

Unfortunately I have found a leak on the right hand side 🙁 I might have to change the gasket on that side.

Thanks, yeah everything will be able to be reverted.
Can't wait for the C90 project :)
Thanks
My favourite channel and my favourite bike 💪😀
Awesome glad to hear
One more time !
Yep
I sense a bigger shop on the way.
I wish. I can’t see it happening as it’s all about the location. If I had to travel I wouldn’t be getting much done.

Definitely needs a good check all round.
What are your plans for breaks and lines?
Possibly keep the original callipers b it replacing the master cylinder that’s under the tank.
previous projects still in your shop. Are you a motorcycle hoarder like myself?
I don’t sell my bikes. They’ll be for my son to do what he wants when he’s older.
I’ m doing the same with my bikes for my 2 sons!
So is this why you were sleeping in the tent a few days ago? 🤔
Never in the doghouse :)
What happened? Watched them all in a row and just stopped on the forks?😢
Coming back soon. Just getting a new workshop
Revving the crap out of cold? WTF
