I have been using red heart in my sentro..NO PROBLEMS..i found if I kept a steady medium rhythm n watch the stitching it comes out perfect. Have done 3 single layer beanies, 2 reversable beanies a regular and an infinity scarf using nothing but red heart yarn...hope you enjoy😍
I bought the dark grey, black, ivory, white, yellow and baby blue huge balls of Red Heart Comfort and I have tried all of them on my Addi and Sentro. The dark grey and black work the best and are quite soft and flexible. The next best colours were the ivory and baby blue and yellow. No issues, but not as soft as the dark grey. The white yarn was challenging in both of my machines. It was thicker, stiffer and created lots of dropped stitches and double stitches or loops and ridges. If I turned my handle very slowly and corrected every mistake before it affected the knitting, then I was able to use the white colour; however, I could have knit by hand more quickly! Great price for that yarn and I love the quantity you get in those huge balls. Thank you for your wonderful videos! I am a fellow Canadian! I live in Kelowna, BC.
Thank you so much for sharing all this information! Same as you, I like to correct every mistake while the project is at the machine. I tried the black one and I had some dropped stitches.
It looks softer. The regular one is so much thicker n hard for the Addi. I could only get child hats and I have to block them in a large foam head to stretch it.
I am also in Canada and picked up a big ball of that at Walmart also. I have yet to try it in my Sentro machines but if it doesn't work well, I will try running it through a dryer sheet or over a silicone ear plug first. I have used other types of yarn that don't normally do well, by using the dryer sheet method and my Sentro 40 pin and a loose tension seems to be ok with that. New subscriber here.
I have a Sentro knitting machine I don't have any problems with that yarn and I also have a Addi King and addi Express I don't have any money problems with it.
I have had a bunch of problems with Red heart super saver yarn on my 48-Sentro machine, a ton of dropped stitches and it was really annoying. I washed the yarn and used fabric softener and dryer sheet and that helped, except the yarn got out of the mesh bag and caused a huge tangled mess of 3 skeins which took me 2 days to untangle. not worth the frustration
I used this yarn with my Sentro and I have noticed that I don't have tucked stitches if I pull down on the knitted tube before the yarn guide as I knit (same as adding weights) th-cam.com/video/RvpFVzkkpuk/w-d-xo.html
If you are you referring to the hats' sizes; you can use the same machine (46 needles or 48 needles) for different sizes like in this video th-cam.com/video/-uTNGfVW0m4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=B0qMoGOwCJQSZZqu

Amazing. We don’t have that yarn anywhere that I can see in the US
I got a ball at Ollie’s! (Pennsylvania)
@@Rengaw.k oh. That’s awesome. I just looked on line with no luck. We have no actually stores where I live.
Walmart has this yarn in the States as well, but it's 16 oz not 35 oz.
Does each size require a different marchine ?
