That lavabending was so excellent! The most mysterious origins of all of the specialized bending next to combustionbending, it works for earthbending only. Instead of it being a rare type of bending, why didnt they just have an earthbender who studied waterbending techniques and ending up being able to control earth in liquid form and change the temperature of it just like waterbenders do with water
Lava bending is much more difficult, because they don't control heat instead they use frictional force to generate enough heat until the rocks reach a melting point. Basically they convert kinetic energy store from movement (friction) to thermal energy store (heat). Unlike Fire and Water that seem to be able to manipulate temperature levels directly, Earth and Air do not seem capable of that feat.

I have a theory that people born from a Earth and Firebender can do this, like Bolin. I wonder why combustion benders can never fire bend like I know. Combustion bending is a more concentrated form of fire bending, but it's still useful to have fire bending.
fire benders learn early how to use their bending without hurting themselves. one thing Kyoshi actually struggled with early as an avatar. tecnically, fire bending have always been about bending combustion, but theyre redirecting the combustion reaction into a flame stream instead of letting it explode in their faces, think like lighting high pressure exiting gas out of the gas valve of the gas tank, compared to ligniting the compressed gas within the tank. the so called combustion bending we saw is more like managing to put a fuse into the gas tank before launching it. in the in-universe terms, most likely managing to create a highly compressed flame and then launching it forward to explode with the air. imagine if an air bender could employ a similar technique to launch sonic booms.
I'm pretty sure I saw P'li shooting regular flames out her hands at one point in the show. Combustion Man definitely can't, because there were situations where regular Firebending would have been more useful than Combustion-Bending and he didn't use it. So maybe that's why his explosions are bigger than P'li's? He's put more energy into it and therefor can't Firebend normally anymore?
@@jahrusalem3658 i think that he just is powerful enough that he can just use the combustion bending without worry. His explosions are more powerful than p'li but with the drawback that he cannot curve it like P'li can.

I know it was so for Aang's time as well. Why would rules be a bad thing?
@@JamaicaZ160R1793010A Well, if they weren't meant to keep an equal treatment for everyone but to protect the interest of only one party.
@@joshuaamadeusishak1887 Benders might be a minority, but the death and destruction they could do without rules is a ton so the goal would be for non-benders to feel safe or as safe as can be as being a bender isn't the same thing as being invincible.
Bro could had used Lightning bending and ended things
He did actually
Akainu brother's😂
so much potential and they blew it
So cool bro
Huh. Didn't know they couldn't bend platinum. 🤔
Its pure metal and their has to be atleast some pieces of earth
Can you lava bend when there's no lava to bend or you create lava to bend? Like a fire bender can create fire to bend.
Pli did
@@jahrusalem3658I think combustion bending is about concentration/focus and discipline.
It's probably not that Combustion Man couldn't fire bend normally, but he chooses not to, so that he can concentrate on his combustion bending
It's weird that earthbenders can lavabend. I get that they might be able to bend existing lava. Totally. But create it? I'd think only the Avatar could do this. I guess it makes for cool visuals but it no make sense, at least to me.
Literally why would you think this though?
writers clealy hate fire ...
earthbenders can bend lava
waterbenders can bend burning chemicals
airbenders can bend burning gases
"oh but its like waterbenders turn water to ice" yes it would be like that and have icebenders separately from waterbenders
we need writers that dont hate fire
Firebenders have lighting and there bending comes from within.
You just made up the air bending & water bending one’s
10:59 what is this?
So you can’t Lava bend if you Metal bend ?
3:01 is that kovira?
Yep. Prior to becoming a dictator she was in Su's guard.
For br a lavabender you should have contact ti earthbending and firebending,
You can do this in one pf two ways:
1) be the avatar
2) one parent is a firebender and the second is earthbender.
Bolin could be an avatar
cool
they failed to balance out the bending. too many of them are too powerful and too convenient.
If most of people can use the same type of bending, it's balance. It's depends on the individual skills to evolves their own element into something more
Bolin is so hot 🥵🥵🥵 helpppp
I never liked they retconned that lava ending was something only the avatar could do...
Its akainu
Nahh theres akainu in avatar?
Why aang cannot get this element
He didn’t learn it because it might be too impossible for him to learn it.
he most likely did not have the ability to bend it nor did he want to due to the destructive capability. he was also unable to bend metal
I think every avatar has it
Szeto kyoshi and Roku were seen using it
@@LeoNdu-fn2hwno, in order to lava bend u have to feel the tiny bits of earth in the lava cause most of it is melted, it’s kinda like metal bending
@endleess226 You do realise lava bending is an extension of earth bending right
Can zuko lava bend?
what do u think bro
Nah, he’s a fire bender. Only earth benders can bend lava.
Nope but funny enough he did in that chibi style haha
