P'Lis combustion bending has some incredible sound design. There are two percussion hits whenever her missile travels, indicating how far it goes. If the target is near, the hits play rapidly after each other like a quick '1, 2, 3' with the 3 being the impact. If the target is farther away, the distance between the beats also increases. I love the way the whole ATLA LOK franchise actually respects training and experience; unlike other series or films where characters randomly acquire new powers and immediately master them and defeat their enemies, Zaheer and Bolin are both constantly kept on the backfoot by someone who's got the same basic power they do but has had much longer to practise with them. They also allow for creativity and intelligence (like Mako realising Ming Hua's weakness or Zaheer's generally high intelligence allowing him to take advantage of how few people know how to fight airbenders) but they don't pretend that intelligence equates to the level of speed and technique that only comes through the thousands of hours of training needed to build up the muscle memory. It avoids both invincible heroes and invincible villains and keeps the dramatic stakes of each fight high while looking AWESOME.
I just finished this season today and you posted this compilation. Awesome. My favorite one was Mako vs. Ming-hua. Forgot Mako could bend lightning up until then. It was a “shocking” fight!
Honestly I love the scene where Mako uses lightning to defeat Ming Hua. While watching Atla i always thought that lightning benders have quite the advantage over waterbenders and metal benders as both conduct electricity . But was sad that it was never used but watching this scene in lok was so amazing .

LOK is so underrated. The first 3 seasons were amazing. I really wish they continue LOK one day.
Season 4 was incredible.

Insert Mortal Kombat voice:
"LIN/SUYING WINS, FATALITY"
6:33
"MAKO WINS, FATALITY"
Bolin Wins, HARAKIRI
@@fuyuki90 nice Deception callback
1:26 One of my favorite red lotus moments, funny and really shows character and personality from them
People hate on Legend of Korea but the bending, the fighting, the intensity is just brilliant. This is the new generation fr. Even the old timers, seeing Zuko and Toph fight along side with them in the series is truly inspiring.
Dude I’m cool with Zaheer shaving to become the imposter at the air temple but man he had a nice beard and epic ponytail, upsetting to see those go to waist.
PS: yes I know funny Among Us reference
SAME
We would like to see the official of the next avatar series
Saaaammmeeee 😭
When
Not if Ehasz isn't returning. He made ATLA. And his lack of presence was felt in LoK.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Nah, LoK is more than fine
Ghazan: really right now?
Zuko: That's rough buddy
I just realized, no matter how strong or talented a bender is, no bender can defeat the Avatar State
I always knew tenzin had greatness in him but that 1 v 3 with some of the most powerful benders gave me a whole new degree of respect for him
The subtle display of different but complimentary bending styles of the Beifong sisters is so interesting. One bends just like Toph, very strong and big movements with a lot of boulders and wall creation, and then the other is so quick and precise, but still “solid” earth movements (unlike fluid for water) to use quick strikes with metal. Beautiful detail
This whole season had the best fights👌👍
Gotta admit, Though TLOK is disliked by many, you gotta give credit to Zaheer for being one of the best villains in animation
ye but I don't like tlok
@@Fire-Lord-Azula you dont have to like tlok to like zaheer.
@@Fire-Lord-Azula Literally no one cares. Objectively is a great show.
I didn’t like lok but they had the best villains. But I’m just glad that they expanded on the Avatar universe
Whether or not you like Legend of Korra it’s impossible to deny it had some phenomenal fights
When Zaheer learned how to fly without assistance, the man started exploiting fall damage lol
0:40 - The Rescuing of P'li
1:37 - The Attack On Misty Palms
2:55 - The Assault On The Northern Air Temple
3:56 - The Fall Of P'li
5:15 - The Kidnapping Of Korra
6:00 - The Fall Of Ming Hua
6:44 - The Fall Of Ghazan
7:38 - The End Of The Reign Of Zaheer And The Red Lotus
Red, now THAT is a color I like
😁😁😂😂😂
I just finished this season today and you posted this compilation. Awesome. My favorite one was Mako vs. Ming-hua. Forgot Mako could bend lightning up until then. It was a “shocking” fight!
0:36 that's slick. she made a block of ice to get them in the air then froze them before they could land.
Honestly I love the scene where Mako uses lightning to defeat Ming Hua. While watching Atla i always thought that lightning benders have quite the advantage over waterbenders and metal benders as both conduct electricity . But was sad that it was never used but watching this scene in lok was so amazing .
when that’s azulas voice actress for ming
Yes it is
She's ming hua, a waterbender. But has a killer voice, that's so fire bender
1:33 Ghazan: "Really? Right now?"
5:08 Now that's what they called mind-blowing. Literally.
Who wouldn't like to see again that over powered squad together
I like the team of 4 being able to bend the 4 elements respectively. And the leader being air is even more interesting.
0:59 *Instantly gets PTSD flashbacks about Viserion and Rhaegal
Zaheer has showed us many very qualified airbend moves🌪️🌪️🌪️
1:35 Yeah I agree with Ghazan because it is awkward for me to drive and have to see smooching
I want a series about the red lotus
One thing that makes the red lotus so strong is that they almost always fight together. The only reason they were defeated is because they were seperated
Yeah
BRUH THESE FIGHT SCENES WERE INSAAAAANE
7:38 I shouted like an excited child when I saw this sequence.
I'm an avid anime watcher and this blew me away!!
Man this fight scenes still give me goosebumps. Cmon Nick gives the EARTH bender Avatar.
Can we all agree that throughout this vid, we were having bi panic with Tonraq and Korra. Or is it me?
no
Just you.
Ikr? They have insanely hot genes.
Daddy Tonraq
Same
Imagine we were introduced to one of them per season
It would have been just as great if they were introduced in the background. Inciting the other villains to create chaos.
0:56 I hope Zuko’s dragon is okay:/
