Just ordered... best wah I've ever heard

Sounds more inviting and emotionally engaging than either my original Vox or Crybaby wahs or the Budda wah. [Of course it might just be that you know more about using a wah to full effect than I do!] Anyway, it definitely sounds "mellower" and more "human" -- if that makes sense -- than all the competition -- [altho' I haven't tried any of the new Chinese models, about which no one seems to be raving!] So I will definitely want to pick one of these up to replace the 1960s original wahs I have on my board at present! Thanks for an intelligent review. The last one I saw just had a guy playing while using the wah pedal with NO comments upon it at all! Why do so many people make videos like that where they demonstrate nothing since the wah you hear over your computer speakers isn't going to sound exactly like the wah pedal recorded no matter how high fidelity your playback system may be. But a video like yours lets us hear something closer to the original, and definitely gets across how the different settings on the sweet pot change the sound. It seems like a real winner! Any idea who designed it, and what their background might have been? BRAVO to them in any case!!

Life long wah fan here. The cool thing about the Wahcko is that no matter how much bass there is it always throws to solid high end you don't lose that like you do with so many other adjustable wahs. Personally, I think the Wahcko is best wah ever made. A true masterpiece. I am fortunate enough to have the handwired one and the board looks like a work of art!

@@nileskeller7195 I usually like to try gear before buying it. Having said that, this pedal appears versatile enough that I very well might buy before trying.

I think Ibanez Sweeping Demon is the most versatile existing wah. But this has extremely rare features that most other wahs doesnt have:
    -very vocal
-great lows with a B/M vocals at lower notes
-before-fuzz compatible circuit even without buffer
    -true by-pass
    I wish I would have one …

i was about to buy one but after hearing it I dont like it as much as my cry baby. To me it sounds like it has echo or reverb or something. Its just not the sound Im looking fof. Thanks for the demo, you just saved me 2 or 3 hundred bucks.

I feel like they should give you a cut, because I'm sold. I was *this* close to buying the Bradshaw one from CAE, but then I saw this wild looking one on you-know-where-azon, and figured it was some Joyo-style junk, then saw the price. WTF? Looked up some vids and holy smokes. This is the final boss of wahs. Like I said, you should get a taste because I'm sold. Hopefully they gave you one for free at least. Papa's gotta wet his beak.

obviously someone who used to using a wah, as he's not just pumping it on the beat

Holy shit, its $330!!! Thats nearly the cost of three Wah pedals. JAM is a boutique brand, meaning fancy graphics and a big price tag. I think for your money, a Cry Baby 535Q would be a better choice, it has similar features for less than half the price.

    Brilliant wah, (too) stellar price.
    🤷🏼‍♂️
Yes, you get what you pay for, and this one also looks lovely, but similar versatility and definitely build quality can be found for approx 1/3 less, not to mention that one coud choose to buy or try 3 to 6 cheaper, more standard wahs and when they die or if they don't suit, just swap them out.
Again, this truly is a great wah - but in truth & honesty we all know it could have been less pricey.
PS: try a cheapo HoTone Soul Press wah.
    Prepare to be surprised.
    😉

@Yeezus Do that, indeed. Excellent suggestion. If you're OK with the size (it's smaller - but not tiny!), in my opinion & experience and to my ears the HoTone is one of the most vocal/vowel sounding wahs out there, not unlike the Wahcko here, or the also excellent and also quite expensive white Xotic wah. It also offers volume pedal and/or expression pedal funcionality, not mutually exclusive, on some models.

      @kansasblues 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Yeezus I tried that hot tone wall/volume pedal. I sent that thing back the next day as the smallest piece of junk got paid for a long time course your mileage may vary.

But who wants all the trouble and wasted time involved in doing all that switching out of pedals that will almost all be inferior to this one? I suppose if you are the "experimental," type -- as even I am to some extent -- you might enjoy that whole process, but if you find more pleasure in just having everything ready to go for you so you can play your chops with great tone, then not so much!
