Absolutely! I would have loved to have been surrounded by so many cool animals growing up! As it was, I was lucky enough to spend a lot of my childhood on my grandfather’s dairy farm. So, I was surrounded by animals, just not as cool as these animals that Kenan has. Mostly just cows, chickens, peacocks and peahens, black swans and all sorts of ducks!!
i would have loved to have a dad that is present like she have but my dad has been mentaly sick during my childhood and died in an accident 3 months ago so I never had a dad that was really present even if he did his best (depression his hard) i would have loved if we could have shared the same passion (animals and nature )
So exciting! It’s like an Easter egg hunt haha 🐢 I guarantee the baby tortoise came up from that tiny hole in their heated hide! They love to lay eggs in spots like that. My tortoises will often lay eggs in their own burrows! 😁🐢
I have a thought that Sophia loves to spend time with Dad and that’s their daughter/dad time. She has figured out that Kenan spends a lot time tending his brood and that’s a great opportunity for one on one time. I just love that she loves that time with him and we have a future reptile fan/tender. You go girl, get that Daddy time!
I wish I had a Sofia ☺️. I’ve tried with all my kids and now grandkids, to get one of them to b as interested n animals as I am. Haha. I’ve got one grandson who’s 6 and I think he’s gonna b my reptile buddy 👌. I enjoy watching u and Sofe bond and it’s cute to hear all of her comments and questions… she’s going to appreciate all these memories and time u have spent w her ♥️
What you do for the animals is tremendous. That you have Sophie with you, searching for baby turtles...The enrichment you give the children's lives. It's admirable. Kudos Kenan.
Hello Reptile Dad! So exciting about the radiated tortoise 🐢 find! Congratulations Kenan and Sophia! 🎉🎊🐢Sophia needs to name the little dude? Your an awesome reptile dad and I wish you and you reptile family and of course your beautiful human family an awesome weekend. Xoxo 😘
Well, that happened!! Awesome. Two years ago, I missed a nest of 5 Yucatan Box eggs, and four hatched and I found them all right after a big rainstorm. Basically, I was checking cages with lightning still happening and there they were!! Such a great feeling to track down a "Volunteer!" Congratulations!!
That’s so amazing that you found the baby radiated - I was hoping you’d find more !!! Sophia was very happy and I think the name Lucky is very appropriate.
I wish I was as great a step parent as Kenan, Sophis looking so much more like Kate as she grows, thanks to Kenan, she’ll be an incredible reptile ambassador in the future, so cool
Sophia reminds me of me at her age following my dad around on the farm watching cows get dehorned learning to ride horses and lots of other cool farm things. She will grow up and love reptiles for sure.
So bittersweet, your daughter is lucky to have a dad as amazing as you! These are memories she will have and cherish for the rest of her life. Wish I had the same growing up. 💗
So cool to find a baby tortoise randomly walking around. I was hoping we'd come across one of the baby corn snakes that y'all released a while back while searching for more baby torts
Exactly what I was hoping for as well, I keep lots of snakes , I loved it when Kenan realised them , I'm sure with time and size there confidence will grow and will they be spotted around the camp.
I love that Sophia enjoys spending her time with you and your animals. If my step dad had a whole reptile zoo in his backyard, I think I would’ve liked him better 😂
It's really a testament to the environment you've built for the animals that baby tortoises are able to incubate, hatch, absorb their yolk sacks and then just be found wandering around doing their own thing all completely naturally, how incredible!
There could be more of them and I bet they could be really hard to find no matter how hard you look!! I swear I couldn't even find my CATS when we got a new refrigerator delivered! They hid so well (no idea where) that even after we searched the whole house from top to bottom and had looked everywhere multiple times...couldnt find them! Then hours later they had crawled out! And cats are way bigger than those tiny turtles!
That’s so cool!! You could check your surveillance cameras, maybe you’ll be able to see the direction the little guy /girl came from!! I Love your habitat you’ve created for your family,
I’d really like to commend you Kenan, You’re so encouraging and so beautiful with Sophie. Your kids (step kids) are gonna have such a leg up in life simply because of the way you treat them. Really really impressed well done. 😊
Such a good question from Sofia! I was thinking how different the babies shell was so different in color and design from the adults also. But the red foots and sulcatas have similar shells with their babies.
Can't wait to watch this, im gonna have to though, kiddo running riot! I'll watch tonight. Hope you and your family are well Kenan, thanks for what you do and keep up the fantastic work!
So exciting love those Lil buggers. Think they're my fav tort. Hope everyone has a great day. Sofia is really turning into a turtle and tort girl love to see it.
So today the full grown cherry head tortoise that I was babysitting and the owner promised me it would not fall in my pool and would just wander around on the lawn eating grass did fall in the pool. Not sure how long he was in there when I got home I dove in got him out blew into his nose shook him and rolled him a little help hold his head up he spit out a lot of water took a little while to regain consciousness and get his bearings but now he’s walking around and ate. Moral of the story don’t let your tortoises walk around an open pool. Thank god he’s ok.
I might have missed your video, but no one ever talks about the electrical required for ponds. At the end your outlet looked… interesting. All the build videos… shovel dirt …. Liner… rocks… fish… never how, where, what with pumps and electric required.
If you go onto Edthe pond Professor’s channel He gives you a rundown on complete pond builds and will give you an idea of the pumps and sizes you need. if you want to have a look at the cost of pumps and what they chew in power you can go onto the website that ed works for I think it’s called Aquascape, It will give you all the information required. Pumps are a little tricky though because depending on the head height (how far the water has to travel up vertically) and what sort of flow rate, will depend on the electrical cost and physical cost of the pump.
You should defintely mount some orchids on your rocks and trees, you can easily grow a lot of nobile and australian dendrobiums outside year round with very little to worry about.
Aww little!!! So glad ro see means rhe torts are safe and happy! Glad for something goood with all the craziness and stress lately. Always awesome seeing sofia to love how she cares for the animals and is ao into them!
Yo Kenan, I didn't realize just how many tortoises you actually have! That's awesome dude, u have such good husbandry & knowledge of your reptiles, I imagine it's difficult to balance at times! BTW, you said some hilarious stuff throughout the episode, especially that face u made when Sophia talked about a turtle getting its head cut off by a predator & carried into pieces, U KNOW that's your daughter she got that lingo from YOU! LMAO!!
HOW BOUT YOU SURPRISE LIL.SOFIA WITH LETHING HER KEEP THIS BABY REDIATOR TURTLE SEENS SHE ALWAYS HELP YOU RESPECT YOU ALWAYS WITH YOU I THINK IT IS THE BESS IDEA SHE WILL BE SUPER HAPPY KANEN I WILL LIKE TO SEE THAT VIDEO KOOL BROTHER
When Sophia gets older she’ll realize how lucky she is to have such a cool dad, that has such amazing animals living right in their own yard. ❤️🐢

Nah. She already knows.
I see a future animal biologist or exotic animal vet in her future.

That's really something.

Wow that turtle got hammered so glad he survived it all, the tortoise is amazing so beautiful, well they all are!
That is awesome that you found the little one. I must agree with Sophia that it's name should be Lucky! ❤️
What you do for the animals is tremendous. That you have Sophie with you, searching for baby turtles...The enrichment you give the children's lives. It's admirable. Kudos Kenan.

I agree! If it's a female, call her "Lady Luck"
Lucky works for me!
I wish I was as great a step parent as Kenan, Sophis looking so much more like Kate as she grows, thanks to Kenan, she’ll be an incredible reptile ambassador in the future, so cool
It’s so cool how your daughter loves to be involved with all the animals.

Hello Sophia, love seeing you enjoying the search for baby tortoise with Kenan❤️❤️🐢🐢
So great seeing Soph out and about, interested in nature and the Kamp with dad❤ Love little Lucky!!
You're daughter is amazing. It's great to see her so interested & interacting with all the turtles & tortoises. Great name Sophia! 🥰
Sophia's so sweet. I can't even imagine the education she must be getting growing up there at Kamp Kenan with you guys. Very lucky kids.
Sophia reminds me of me at her age following my dad around on the farm watching cows get dehorned learning to ride horses and lots of other cool farm things. She will grow up and love reptiles for sure.
"It's always fun to get out in the yard and look around." Best advice ever. This could fix America! 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
So bittersweet, your daughter is lucky to have a dad as amazing as you! These are memories she will have and cherish for the rest of her life. Wish I had the same growing up. 💗

hahahaha no kidding. I had to work in his Taco Truck.
I would love to have a back yard like yours! I love ponds with tortillas, turtles, joy and frogs! You have the coolest setup I have ever seen!!
If Florida wasn't going to be under water in 50 years, I think i'd move down there just to have a sanctuary like yours.
You have to love a first ground hatching at the kamp. It’s so cool that you found that little guy.
Radiated = dream tortoise. Sophia needs to be your first paid employee. That girl is a natural!
I love little soph helping out. So awesome hearing her ask questions. So cute 🥰
imagine growning up at kamp kenan
always look forward to kickin back n watchin a new kamp kenan video!!
Ayyy same
It's really a testament to the environment you've built for the animals that baby tortoises are able to incubate, hatch, absorb their yolk sacks and then just be found wandering around doing their own thing all completely naturally, how incredible!
SO EXCITING! So happy to see new life, after the recent hardships. Bless you, Kenan and family!
Jurassic park said it LIFE WILL FIND A WAY!
I'd like to see the results of digging in the corner of the hide as well. Let us know how it goes!
what a great dad 🥲 makes me miss mine. treasure every moment together!
That girl is adorable…. Watch those boys!!! Lol Sophie you are great with the reptiles! Love to see you on the videos
She is really good with the camera! Thank you for letting us into your little oasis of life and discovery!
Awww the tortoise is tiny! It must be so hard trying to find all the eggs ❤
Day of much appreciated surprizes: Sophia , and the wild radiated tortoise hatchling , and the survivor from the raccoon days. Thank you both so much.
I’d really like to commend you Kenan, You’re so encouraging and so beautiful with Sophie. Your kids (step kids) are gonna have such a leg up in life simply because of the way you treat them. Really really impressed well done. 😊
Hire chandler’s owl Bagoly to do some night patrol at the kamp ;))
I’m sure he’d love to make a meal out of those raccoons
Such a good question from Sofia! I was thinking how different the babies shell was so different in color and design from the adults also. But the red foots and sulcatas have similar shells with their babies.
The wood turtle looks like a wise old sage, standing on those rocks with plants on both sides lol
Like Buddha!
Can't wait to watch this, im gonna have to though, kiddo running riot! I'll watch tonight.
Hope you and your family are well Kenan, thanks for what you do and keep up the fantastic work!
so cool seeing all the little paths and perspectives under the plants.
Sofia is such a sweet little girl! Reminds me of my daughter.
So cool that your kid is interested in nature.
I love how your daughter admires you ❤️ And always willing to help
It’s awesome that the eggs will still hatch even if you don’t find them.
Yooo! Can't believe you found a baby radiated tortoise! Hope you find more! Congratulations! 🎊
Lucky has a great new Momma in Sophie😃🐢
Such a happy video after so much loss! Have a great weekend Kenan and fam!

A new, unexpected, baby! That's amazing! I'm so excited for you!

Imagine being able to go herping for exotic tortoises in your own yard
Keep that Radiated tortoise and name it lucky hi young lady you're Dad is awesome
Hi Kenan love from India ❤️🇮🇳❤️ today's video was very interesting please get spider 🕸️ tortoises and albino sulcatas
Those turtles keep those tunnels pretty cleared out. They are great week eaters
Though Lucky is a great name, you should name it Ranger as in “The Lone Ranger” since he was the only one out and about haha
Another Brilliant episode Kenan, just gos to show what a fantastic environment you have created , keep up the Excellent work.
Gorgeous young lady!!! 🥰🥳
Nice find always glad to see nature reproduce
You should defintely mount some orchids on your rocks and trees, you can easily grow a lot of nobile and australian dendrobiums outside year round with very little to worry about.
Sophie is a great camera operator.
Awww Sophia is a really lovely young lady…xx
Aww little!!! So glad ro see means rhe torts are safe and happy! Glad for something goood with all the craziness and stress lately. Always awesome seeing sofia to love how she cares for the animals and is ao into them!
Omg how exciting! Love it!
I love baby tortise/turtle hunts at the Kamp :)
While you were sticking your hand in that hole , all I'm thinking is funnel-web spider. 🕸🕷
Did anyone else notice the little lizard behind him on the tree at 13:05 ???
Soph you rock, What a great kamper you are

Very cool! Whats in that hole in the hutch!??????
Keep up the awesome videos 😊
The success of your setups is proven by all the babies over the years
that's cool we got to see tortoise and turtle pathways
Didn't know that was called a palate. Learned something today.
How fun is that😊
Sophia is amaizing!💐💐👍a verry smart girl!
I recommend to make enclosures for your animals from now on like slinky’s enclosure because it’s safer that why it’s your choice.
The bit where you asked the potential mom if she had seen any of her babies by any chance and her expression made me ugly snort laugh
