Disney Fantasy Cruise Day 3! | Cozumel Mexico Beach Break, Animator's Palate Dinner & New DCL Merch!

- Today's vlog is day 3 of our Disney Fantasy Cruise! We had our first port day in Cozumel, Mexico where we experienced the Cozumel Beach Break excursion. We had 4 hours at the all inclusive resort where we played in the ocean, went down the water slide and Jackson loved the kiddie splash pool with slides for little ones. Lunch and drinks were included, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. Then after a fun afternoon we headed back to the ship and hung out for a bit before dinner. We had dinner at Animator's Palate, which is always good! After dinner we checked out some of the new merch aboard the ship and then we watched some tv and learned about how the ship's engine room works. We had a really great day and we can't wait to show you what we did tomorrow! Thank you for hanging out with us on the Disney Fantasy! Thank you for watching and we'll see you soon with a new vid!

I gotta admit, the part about “someone not a Disney employee said “come with me because everyone else has to walk a while but I’m gonna take your the shorter way”” sounded like how people get kidnapped 😳😳

When you know that Jackson has a great day on the water slides and falls asleep on the bus on the way back to the ship and Tim carries Jackson to the rest of the way back to the ship then you know that Jackson has a blast!😊

I’ve only seen clips of the tangled show and the beauty and the beast one and they looked amazing. I had never seen anything about the frozen or Aladdin one. Super interested to know if they are as good as the other ones.

Excursions like that make a cruise even more exciting. A lot of the cruise excursions are still resort/tourist friendly, but they allow you to see parts of the destination you wouldn’t get to see just being on the boat. It looked like such a fun day
I appreciate how you point out the little things we might not think about - like the umbrellas at Cozumel and tipping for them. Was there a charge to take Tim’s mom on the bike from the dock to the bus? Always interesting in how these extra things work for those with limited mobility.

When I was about 9ish, my dad took my sister and me on our first cruise to Cozumel and while we were on shore exploring, we each got a pair of maracas. As soon as we got back to our room on the ship, both of my sister's maracas fell apart. So as any good sister would do, I gave her one of mine and we created a song about how her maracas broke. It's been over 20 years since then and it's tradition now, every time either of us goes to Mexico or Central/South America and we see maracas, we get a pair and give one to one another. Seeing the basket of maracas at the gift shop brought back so many great memories

In Cozumel, I highly recommend going to Mr. Sanchos, the food and drinks are amazing, and two pools and servers go around to get your orders, the only downside is there is no splash pad for Jackson. I also got a massage there in 2018 after a panic attack and it felt like I was walking on air. just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Our son has Captain Duffy too! He still takes it on every cruise with him and I always take photos on Deck 4 with them together.
Did the same cruise on the same ship. Next time when Jackson is a little older to the cave exploration which should be a more enjoyable experience. Water in the cave is a cooling 74 degs and and it truly is stunning.
Oh you guys passed by the welcome to Miami bar! They literally have the best mojito EVER! I’m not kidding or being extra. We went on the “country” beach side of Cozumel on a keep tour & we stopped at the bar & they made it fresh in front of us. Man it was so delicious!

He’s like my eldest at that age, they’re like little sponges for information. My Harry’s favourite quote went from “why” to “do you know” after asking why to everything he knew so much he started telling people facts without them even asking. 💙💙💙❤️❤️❤️
Love it! Glad you all had a great day! Once you can go offshore in Cozumel without the "bubble", go to Paradise Beach Club, the food is amazing, great pool and beach area. Service is amazing, a fun family place.

My family did this itinerary in May 2018. While on Cozumel we went to the Mayan Chocolate Experience, which was a lot of fun! We love the Disney Fantasy! 😁

The Mexican cooking class excursion at Playa Mia for adults and older kids is really excellent. One of our best memories cruising to Mexico.

I did the Beach Break excursion in Cozumel around 15 years ago… it looked 100% different. It was just a beach, with a bar, some of those water trampolines, and a few small shops. It was soooooo relaxing. The best day of our cruise for sure!
That pirate's outfit for Jackson is adorable!!! I think this is a fun trip, but I liked the other cruise better, too!!! Either way, traveling is great!!! Always enjoy!!! I would LOVE having those stars on my bedroom ceiling!!!

So much fun! My middle daughter has the Shelley bear that she got in 2018. Later I got her the hard back book for Christmas that year.
We went to Cozumel on the Dream during Hurricane Dorian in 2019. We were supposed to have a Caribbean 3-night cruise (then turned into 4 nights) but due to the storm, they took us to Cozumel and then bumped us up to a 6-night cruise and added Grand Cayman at the last minute (not sure if they had ever made port in Cayman before that point). Seeing Cozumel here brought back a lot of memories!

If you guys go on a vacation to Mexico, non-cruise, I’d recommend going to Moon Palace Cancún. The resort is an upscale, casual, place of all marble and is a 4 Diamond rated resort. The resort is all-inclusive and split up into 3 different sections: Sunrise, Nizuc, The Grand. The best side to stay at is The Grand. The food is incredibly amazing and service is great! The resort is a couple miles from the Cancún International Airport and it is a quick drive, private shuttle services are available to use that go to and from the Moon Palace and the airport! I’d definitely recommend going. The resort is huge and has golf-cart transportation. I’ve went 4 times and no place compares! Me and my family usually do 7-9 days. There are entertainment shows every single night! Some restaurants you need to dress formal, but most you can dress casual
My family and I have been to Cozumel multiple times. We have done the Cozumel beach excursion twice now and we always enjoy it. It has something for everyone. I am glad you all tried it!

When I was 10, I got chosen from all the Idaho cancer children to go on a cruise in search of Santa. We went to Cozumel, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the Grand Cayman Islands. We got to visit several schools and do other activities.
The cute Pirate costume came home to Australia with us too and has had years of Pirate play ⚓🏴☠💙

Going on my first Disney Cruise in July and joined a Facebook group for our cruise, I’d highly recommend anyone who has never done a Disney Cruise or a cruise in general to do so. Everyone in our group has given loads of great advice and tips, about cruising with Disney.

Last time we went to Cozumel we did a full day Jeep 4 x 4 off road excursion. It included snorkeling, private beach lunch buffet and your own Jeep for an off road tour. We were in a convoy following the tour guide throughout the island. It was very scenic. We stopped at a roadside gift shop and a local bar. Then they took us to an area for snorkeling, off roading, then a private beach lagoon area for lunch. They setup a thatch umbrellas and Mexican blankets for each group on the beach where we could hang out, swim (the lagoon made it safer to swim) and eat. It was awesome and reasonably price. We had our nieces and nephews who were not much older than Jackson and they loved it.

I remember doing a water obstacle course like that in costa maya and myyyyyy goodness it was so difficult!! I fell off twice and it took forever to try and get back on the floats! And I was scared like you Jenn! It was a lot scarier out there than you’d think!
I live in Canada but when I was 19 I choose to move to Mexico for 3-4months. I applied for a work visa (was approved) and was at that same island! I worked at the beach clubs and I served all the Disney crew ship people and the tourists who spoke English only. It was super fun, I have an itch to do it again.

I did this excursion twice with Royal Caribbean. It's fun. I like the pool and the splash pad the best

I think I would have just stayed on board the ship rather than do an excursion. It would have few people and be really relaxing. Maybe do a spa. So far, the food has looked fantastic! And they've done such a good job on the merch. I would need a 2nd empty suitcase to haul all my "finds" home.
That merch! We head back on the Fantasy in September and I can’t wait for it. We had to cancel a couple cruises for obvious reasons. I saw Jen’s gold lanyard and I am jealous! This cruise should have put us into gold status. But we’ll still be silver after this cruise. Ah well! Love the videos.

We visited Playa Mia on the Western Caribbean sailing that left on April 23, 2022. We took the ruins, Chocolate Workshop, and Beach Experience.
The Ruins where worth the visit, The Chocolate Experience was more like a constant request for tips in every stop. They gave us a few specs of cacao. Then we ordered food at Playa Mia which was super bland. Not the Mexican experience we expected. Then by the time the food arrived we only had 30 minutes at the beach. I agree out of all the experiences we've booked on Disney Cruises. Playa Mia is a tourist trap that Disney Guests need to stay clear of.

Just a comment on the typical Mexican resort food…Maybe it typical of some of the very cheap very large resorts, but we have been to many many Mexican resorts with amazing, authentic and delicious food. Like anywhere in the world, it depends on where you stay.
