Haha, that "secret" entrance used to just be an easy way for cast members to get to the load positions, or to walk across the show hallway to control. Crazy to see it decorated and actually used as a secondary entrance. The elevator scene absolutely TERRIFIED me as a kid (as in, I had a full-on meltdown and had to be guided out) so I'm happy they added this. Maybe some other young kids won't be nearly as scared now
You probably shouldn’t have gotten in line for an obviously scary ride if that made you have a meltdown

No one in our family had been on the ride before, and we thought it would be Disney level scary.
The cutest ride in the world
Love haunted mansion and pirates of the carribean rides. Especially on the hot days.
Haven't been in 20 years.. can't beat this classic, some things are best kept the same!
Thank you for sharing... love your channel!!
She reminds you to psychically distance while she stands in the door way and you have to squeeze past her to get in.
Went to the one in Disney World in Florida right around the time the park was just opening. Almost 50 years ago, 72-73 when I was 7-8 yrs. old. Again in 79' and in 94'.
Love this ride so much! If this was universal everything would be on a movie screen >:(
What.
The Florida version maybe my childhood but i can still feel nostalgia.
Damn, the Graveyard scene really pops this time around!
they made me go through this entrance on the first day back i was so excited
What a classic, gets better with age. I'm fine with minor tweaks; looks amazing (just hope I don't live to see a day that a "controversy" shuts it down for good).
Agreed.
I will never forget the ghost sitting behind my parents and I that I saw in the mirror in the cart. I was 7 years old. Scared the daylights out of me!
god i love watching these
man's a legend for going thru that entire ride by his hEcKiNg self with nothing but his camera to keep him company??!💀💀💯
Haha, that "secret" entrance used to just be an easy way for cast members to get to the load positions, or to walk across the show hallway to control. Crazy to see it decorated and actually used as a secondary entrance.
Makes me wonder if door #4 is the only way for Cast Members to get in and out of the ride unseen now, since the breakroom door isn't exactly obscured, being completely visible from the queue.
I actually got to go through this entrance !! I had no idea too
Brings me back to my childhood memories
Really cool to see the secret entrance. Just wish it showed how they got from there into the loading area.
There's a door in the portrait hallway opposite the portraits. There are "windows" all around the door that make it look like it's storming outside. Most people never look in that direction because they are watching the portraits change
But I LOVE the stretching room scene! 😂😂
ye
yeah the stretching room at Disneyland CA is better bc I like the downward motion.
Utterly fabulous and I LOVE the mirrors reflections at the end 😍👻😍
i am absolutely wheezing at the amount of puns in the tombs at 0:13 to 0:20
I went to Disneyland once in about 2001 maybe, towards the end of January... there was hardly nobody there! We got to go on the rides with no wait at all, some rides they’d let us ride 2 and 3 times in a row without getting off, it was the best Disney visit I ever had.
Also had one similar visit to Great America in Santa Clara in the late 90s, we stayed on the Tidalwave till we were sick! Had the whole place to ourselves, I don’t remember what time of year that was tho..
Whaoo, backstages at Disneyland are more themed than Walt Disney Studios Paris on stage.
It's not meant to be themed, it's backstage, duh. This has clearly been quickly repurposed. It looks cheap, pathetic and rushed.
This isn't really backstage anymore as it's being used for guests. It's unthemed in the actively backstage areas.
I’m not even sure if this is a Disneyland ride. Walt Disney World has the exact same ride at Magic Kingdom. I’m so confused
@@josephm4923 take a look at the title of the video, which should answer your question.
@@josephm4923 the disneyland and disneyworld haunted mansion buildings are completely different. same for the paris one and the asian versions. all different inside and out.
This always a favorite ride of mine the couple of times I have been.
I did this entrance too! I thought it was weird a first but we skipped the whole line and got into the ride in like less than 5 minutes!
I have pains every day these vids make me happy
this and pirates of the carribean were my 2 favorite rides in the late 1960s and late 70s.still looks the same.used to go here almost every month, got in free. my moms friends husband worked in the park and used to get us in free.i believe it cost over 20 bucks to get in and we used tickets for the rides later on they got rid of the tickets.
the ride is that old i thought it was newer because of the haunted mansion movie with eddie murphy plus i couldn't afford a ticket to disney by myself i only went for free because my brother is a cast member in florida but everything else was expensive also a 20 ounce bottle of coke cost me 5 dollars next time i'll shop at the dollar tree for all my goodies and soda jeez greedy much i couldn't go there as a kid because my parents were cheapskates
I can't imagine what the monthly electric bill is for running all those lights and projectors.
I did the secret entrance at WDW with my parents, which was cute. This looks so fun!
My absolute FAVORITE RIDE!! Thank you for sharing! 💜
My absolute favorite ride at Disney.
I've taken the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney as well. Great special effects!
I remember this ride so much and still awesome
Haunted house?? I have just been greeted with someone trying to come across as scary and yet using manners. Like what is scary about that? Please? in a haunted mansion? asking me kindly to keep my arms and legs inside the cart! and being concerned about a gap that looked non-existent! I was literally sat there and was like he could've said "there is a gap between the platform and the ride. Fall through it at your own peril". I then saw the gap and was like "aint no one falling through that". What a way to kill the mood! Glad to see you are living up to your reputation as always America! :)
I paused as soon as I went on. I will never give Disney one red cent of my money again. They have turned out to be the biggest disappointment in my life and I am 68 years old. You have shattered the dream of Walt Disney.
Ok Debbie sit down.
This ride has been there for a long time. It gave me the creeps when I was at 8. Most of all the ghost will follow you home part!👻 That 28 years ago.
awesome low light camera. thank you for this haunting experience
Wow beautiful place. I want to go
it looks so fun fellow kpop lover :)
Kudos to them for putting April/December back in, but I do think Master Gracey (the aging man) from Magic Kingdom would've been better. That one's much creepier in my opinion.
Woah the secret entrance was awesome! haha
I got stuck on this ride for a whole ten minutes and then got stuck on a Harry Potter ride at universal studios in one trip lol
One of my favorite rides ever 🎉✨
The last ghost on reflection mirror was the only part that i remembered when i was a kid
I loved the Haunted mansion too
I would never skip the elevator it's the brainchild on entering into the Haunted Mansion
He had no choice.
This is awesome. I went through here when I was there on opening day and my mom got a video. The entire hallway is so cool considering it is themed too.
Miss April is back 😍😍
DISNEYLAND
I love riding the ride at Disney land.💜💜💜😊🖤
日本より装飾が華やかですっごく素敵、、、、🥀🎩
どっちがぱくたん?
そうなの?知らなかった。
I love this ride so much. Some of the best childhood memories for me were spent at Disney. It looks like you were the only one there. All the seats around you look empty. Is it bc of social distancing or did they let you in the park early??
this is why you are standing in ride lines for 4 hours, secret entrances to make the wait even longer for everyone else in the main line.
I remember this ride as a kid in about 1976ish. The zombies popping up out of coffins? Scared me! I will never do business with Disneyland because the changes of the original rides and night time parade of lights. The original Nautilus submarine ride was the best. If something ain't broke don't fix it.
I’ve seen lots of people post that entrance on social media lately but I believe there using it for social distancing purposes. Nice ride
I am seeing this in light off and its amazing 😍❤️
