Oh, how disappointing it must have been for you to have suffered equipment failure during your build. It can be devastating when that happens. I once lost over 10,000 music files when I had a catastrophic hard drive failure so I feel your pain. I was wondering what had happened to you during the wait since the last segement. I figured you were busy with your military duties. So thanks for bringing us all up to speed on what happened and thanks for another outstanding build segment!
Yeah that was a bit of a downer, and I'm sorry to hear that you lost so much music, so boring when it can't be salvaged. I've started working again, I worked for 7 weeks straight and I've also been on vacation. I'm going back to working in the armed forces full time and I'm also going to work as a civilian survival instructor part time so this will be the last big project I'll do here on TH-cam for a while, hopefully I still have the time to do it as a hobby but we'll see. Thank you for watching and have an awesome week my friend!
@@TSMAdventures Oh, I do so hope that you'll occasionally share some bushcraft stories and adventures. I do so love watching your channel! Good luck to my good sir with all your endeavors!

Outstanding. Everything (except the memory card) is really coming together. The fireplace is over-the-top! That first night you stay there is going to be like a 5 star hotel. Respect from Florida USA 🌴
Thank you Richard! Emma and I spent a night togheter in the shelter and it was so warm and cosy, it turned out great 😁 A little too comfortable maybe 😊 Have an awesome week and I really hope that you enjoy the rest of it. 👍
Your innovation on this build is awesome. I’m very impressed with the use of primitive fastening techniques. The fireplace design will definitely maximize the heat output. I’ve been excited to see the conclusion of this build. Excellent job my friend. Look forward to see your future projects. Sköl!
Thank you brother, much appreciated as always! I'm really happy with the outcome and we now have a wood stove which makes it so warm and cosy! 😊👍 thank you my friend!
Hehe yeah, atleast during this time, it's illegal to have her off leash since she likes to hunt and eat every animal she see. There is a lot of animals giving birth and laying eggs when this video was filmed. Normally she is off leash here but she likes to wonder off, and she usually comes back to say hello within 30min and she never goes mor than 1km away 😊 But closer to society she's always on the leash 😅
The stone cabin is finished! I have two more videos to upload from this build, then it's time for the complete build video. I'm so happy with the result and I can't wait to show you the finished product! I'll upload one video a week from now on. I'm sorry for the lack of uploads lately, Emma, the dogs, and I just came home from a holiday trip. Thanks for your patience and I really hope that you enjoy the video. Have an awesome week and stay safe my friends!
@@TSMAdventures I've started watching it but it's now 9:50pm Sunday night and I need to be up for work at 3:30am so, for now, it's bedtime. I'll watch the rest tomorrow.
I'm really enjoying watching this cabin build. I was hoping that you would leave a longer over hang on the roof to help keep water off the perimeter stone walls. Regardless, you have done a fantastic job. God bless you!
Brotha! What the heck happened to your memory card? That most definitely sucks, I feel for you. Regardless, you have a great breakdown of what you’ve done. Great idea with using sand in the fireplace, that’s going to help maximize heat retention and evenly distribute it for cooking. I am digging the frame style and how you are using primitive pegs and the “log cabin wedge cut” as opposed to cordage. I need to get my auger before I start doing builds this fall. When you aren’t using it, you should sublet it as a hunting cabin or “AirB&B” 😂😂😂 Hoping you, Emma, and the fur babies are doing awesome brother. 🙏🏼🍻🇸🇪🇺🇸
Don't know but it couldn't be repaired. I bought a different type of memory card which is easier to repair if broken. Thank you brother! Haha, the landowner said the same thing. I might have private survival courses there in the future but I don't think we'll rent it out 😁 We are all good, just came home from a vacation and it's soon time to go back to full time work in the armed forces and as a civilian survival instructor 👍 How are you and yours, all good with you?

Tip: drive the wedge against the grain of the log when using as a fastener. A wedge driven with the grain is used for splitting a log.
I’d never seen that done before. Excellent suggestion as well.
