Building a Bushcraft Cabin in the Woods - From Start to Finish - No Talk

- Building a dry-stone house in the wilderness with a wooden roof and walls, using hand tools and both ancient and modern techniques. This build took me 28 days to finish and it's now my family's little vacation house in the woods of Värmland, Sweden.
Dry stone is a building method by which structures are constructed from stones without any mortar to bind them together. Dry stone structures are stable because of their construction method, which is characterized by the presence of a load-bearing façade of carefully selected interlocking stones.
While the dry stone technique is most commonly used for the construction of double-wall stone walls and single-wall retaining terracing, dry stone sculptures, buildings, fortifications, bridges, and other structures also exist.
Thank you so much for watching, if you have any questions about me, my gear, or anything else, just ask in the comment section below. Stay safe!

I hope that you'll enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed building this little house! Thank you so much for watching and I hope to see you all in the future! Take care my friends and stay safe.
Nice job on the rock hip walls. Looks like you've built rock walls/fences before.
@@readhistory2023 Thank you so much, this is the first wall I've ever made, but not the last 👍 I watched a couple of videos beforehand and then I started building.
thank you good video 👍👍👍
Great job ! You could live there , I would
@@high-speed-owen8831 Thank you! I spend a lot of time in this cabin 😁
I miss my husky so much watching this. It’s been a long 7 years without him.

Love this! there isn't enough of these proper dry stone wall builds being done
Very good video
I am watching from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Thank you so much 😁🙏
Wow all in 28 days. As I was watching u move the stones around I thought this must have taken him a couple years. I was stunned to see u did it all in 28 days. Great work im totally impressed. I bet that is a cozy place at night with the fire glowing and your dogs bedded down for the night. Seems like it would feel like the best place on earth to me. Awesome video.
Thank you so much 🙏 It's a great little retreat for sure, my family and I have spent many nights in this house. 🏚🇸🇪
I thought he did it in a day
@@mongolianfishingvillages1371 yea and the world was created in 3 days ;)
Dude while you are playing caveman you should invent yourself the wheel! Watching some of those rocks mive hurt MY back...
Hahhhaha good stuff man. Thanks for sharin
Amazing work. Loved seeing the dogs living their best lives. The cracking of the trees you took down was therapy for my ears
Thank you so much! Yeah they love it out there. It's a calming sound 😁
I watch a lot of this type of video on youtube. I love the effort behind this video in particular. I work in construction and can be a bit opinionated on building stuff, so take this with a grain of salt:
I like everything but the "roof". There is a problem with its conception. The structure of the roof has members that should be reversed. It's hard to explain but the "runners" are on the wrong side of the frame.
I absolutely love the dry stone wall, especially that you pulled strings. Strings have been used for thousands of years in construction, and it's nice to see a youtuber finally employ the method. We still use strings today all over the construction trades. Even though we have lasers, we all still use strings.
The no talk part is always the best part
Thank you 🙏
You are very skilled. That wall is just amazing. And there aren't too many people who could life those stones and logs. Congratulations on a job well done. I'm sure your family is very happy with all that you did.
Great little cabin . Now for the out house , hot tub and sauna . HA HA HA . You did a fine job . Stay safe and thank you for sharing .

A truly "bush craft" built cabin. You did a great job building PROPER stacked stone walls, with no mortar. You used pegs and bindings too'
Of course, I might do things a bit different, so what. This is a job well done, very well done.
What an amazing project dear Adam. This is absolutely fantastic. I love the care and patience and love you put into this. It is indeed a labour of love and I salute you. You also have some adorable doggies. Maximum Respect. Blessings 💖

I truly enjoy watching it.
Awesome to hear, thank you 🙏😁

I watched this video and OMG, the things that you know about building, and the physical strength and stamia, well is it almost superhuman. Nicely done, and was glad to the see your dogs supervising, er, I mean napping on the blanket. You are one very impressive man!! All the Best to you!!!
I'm working on building something just like this, I just came home from day 4 :) Mine I am digging the stone part into the hillside to hopefully get some insulation from the ground. Thank you for sharing!

👍😁🏗🇸🇪🙏
Amazing work. So cozy looking. I wish I had land to be able to do something like this. Would make a great spit for camping during the weekends
Good job sir❤❤❤ love from Pakistan
This was a great project and a wonderful set of videos which I will have to watch from beginning to end. I cheated and watched just the last few! I hope you will both spend many happy days there.
The only thing I would have done differently is to make the bed frame from wood instead of stone as a lot of potential storage space under the bed is lost by making a solid platform from stone. It might make a longer stay more convenient/comfortable, especially in winter.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it 🙏😁
@@TSMAdventuresI agree with keqd54. Very impressive craftwork on the windows and doors. I'd love to do this some day. I've watched a bunch of these builds and I always question, "Are these guys building on property they own?" I also wonder how long these builds last and what it to maintain them. I wish I had land to build a fun project like this!
I had another question. I noticed you built that big chimney and fire place but then put a wood burning stove inside. It looked like there was a surplus of space in there. Does the heat the stove generates stay in the cabin? I suspect in colder weather that the heat from the stove would escape rather easily. Maybe the top of the chimney is narrower than it looks. If it were me (and I had the skills) I would like to make the chimney more bottle-necked to trap more heat, but still leave space for cooking. Just my two cents.
Altogether, amazing work! Thanks for being an inspiration to viewers like me who live vicariously through you!
Good idea and you could also add hot rocks under the bed during winter time!
Fantastic.
Absolutely terrific! Beautiful build, hard work but so gratifying.
My man I almost bashed the screen with that flipping enormous spider came on in?!! I’ve really enjoyed the rest so far. Cheers.
Haha yeah same here while editing the video 😅 thank you so much!
Beautiful
Thank you 🙏
