I recently saw Butch at a house concert and had the chance to speak with him for a bit. He is as genuine and nice as everyone says and I am now a fan big time. Go Butch! Hope to see you one day in Turlingua.
One of my all-time favorite singer-songwriters who's written some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. Anybody who can meld wisdom and humor with such panache gets my vote every time. *¬◊
Butch did this in Chicago Dec 5. He dedicated it to Nelson Mandela. Fitting. Great song by such a great writer. Preaching to the choir here, but I agree with Charles he "is criminally underrated"! Got to spend some time with him- a real treat- I nave been a fan since I first heard him.
Butch got it right. Just have to listen and receive from another angle than may be customary for ya. Butch's melodious lyrical perspective entices us to think, just a bit, outside our customary comfort zone.
