I predict he will be the best WCE seen since Ben Cousins. That includes you C Judd.

You might be onto something there. When he pins his ears back and goes for a run he reminds me of our midfield maestro Benny Cousins ; ]

Reid does get a lot of hype and i've really only paid attention to the draft since the end of the 2019 season but I feel like Horne-Francis, Ugle-Hagan and Rowell had very similar coverage. Daicos isn't a number 1 but he also had a huge amount of media coverage. I don't think it's just a Harley Reid phenomenon

They did the same with Nic Naitanui in term of insane media coverage

... and Nicnat did live up to the hype!! Three goals against Hawthorn game one? Poor dude just accumulated too many injuries by the end. Reid is the kind of guy we can build a midfield around.. we just need to add a couple more top end draft picks who can develop with him.. which I think will happen, I cant see them doing much the first 16 games.. they might nick a couple at the end as they begin to gel with each other. Fingers crossed ; ]

I personally think he needs to come through the WAFL competition, to play on more mature players which will build more toughness to handle the AFL. From what I have seen, he will get destroyed if they play him to soon in the elite comp.

Lacks the tank to be truly elite. His strength provided him with a huge advantage at under age level, but that won't be nearly as significant in the AFL. He'll be a very good player, but not the generational talent he was described as. Just an opinion of course.

Nobody is born with elite running talent. I ran the 5 kilometre time trial in the military the first time in 19.50 minutes... two years later I had it down to 17.25 mins by adding my own 10 kilometer runs and 3.2 time trials on top of the regular army training I was doing.
