Cadman participated last year but the rest were injured. I'm not sure how that's a cop out if they genuinely can't make it. And with VCE studies that's a hectic schedule for any young kid; on top of local and state league champs.

What about the other 60 players invited that are finishing school do they just suck it up? What about the mature aged recruits starting work at 6am 5 days a week doing an apprenticeship in a trade? They don't participate because they don't wanna potentially hurt their draft number by being outperformed by people considered lower down the order and have been given explicit instructions that participating won't help anything. How often is the number 1 pick the best player in their draft?
