Love the party mix but the 4 pads are a huge limitation. I just wished there was a shift button or something to allow for example, effects or cue points 5 through 8 to add to the pads as well.

I'm not sure if it works on all the controllers, but on my Numark Party MIx Live (with the built-in speakers) if you hold down the effect pad (on reverb for example) and then hit the Pad Mode button at least twice, you can release the pad and the effect will sustain. Very handy!

Love the video thank you! I used to have a pair of Axis 8 CDJ's and they had similar effects built in, they had a Sonar effect that I cannot seem to find on any current hardware just the Axis 8, Axis 9 & the CDN90 dual cd player has it too. I want to find a dj controller with ALL of numarks effects!

hey, good tutorial but how to adjust the fx volume, when I press the pad, as you at maximum? because mine is at 70% volume, and I want to know if is possible to modify it to 90-95%.

Will effects only work audio wise if your playing output through a speaker. You can’t hear effects through the headphones?

Only by remapping a control on the unit, only possible in Serato DJ Pro.

I just got this controller and was disappointed to find out it’ll be tricky to use echo transitions 😅 “Hardware features that cannot be remapped at this stage are the Jogwheels/Platters, Input Switches, Shift buttons and Performance Pad Mode buttons.”

You can use this with Virtual DJ too, yes.

if you use virtual dj you can map the pads to do this,i mapped the pads to change the filter to any effect when i want to use it and then switch it back to filter,Virtual dj is the only software where you can make the most out the party mix because of the scripting

@@danwarakagoda7031 Mixxx has full control to do as you like as well (since it's open source). I'm still working on the mapping for the Party Mix, but I've got it working so when you press Scratch and PFL/Cue buttons together, it toggles that channels Gain nob to an Effects level nob. Press them together again returns to normal channel Gain. I've hacked a 512GB SD + USB3 into the Party Mix along with AVLinux so I can just plug the controller into any computer (even a mac) and boot it up right into AVLinux and bam, I'm right into my own customized Mixxx environment. It's pretty dope :)
