English version is garbage. Watch in any other language than English. Its not the same effect, the translation is off… and it becomes a big comedy show. There is a Russell Peters joke around Indian people speaking English in a court room drama to cut the tension… its the same thing. If you’re a native English speaker… avoid English translation at all cost…
I’m not fighting for language. I said watch it in any other language other than English. I grew up in Canada… so I know the language barriers… and trust me… white people will laugh at the translation… you think it’s normal cause English’s not your first language… unfortunately… my first language is English… my second language is Tamil and I watched this movie in Tamil. Again, the Indian accent is not taken seriously in the west… you can watch Russell Peters comedy to understand that… more over it is not properly translated. For example, at the end of Kateramma/Kali Amma Scene… he says give me 2 minutes - I will make him into a King/Lord… in the English… he doesn’t say that… not to say that didn’t make it serious… but accent is not doing anyone any favours.
