DNA ligase is a specific type of enzyme, a ligase, that facilitates the joining of DNA strands together by catalyzing the formation of a phosphodiester bond. It plays a role in repairing single-strand breaks in duplex DNA in living organisms, but some forms may specifically repair double-strand breaks.

Tq sir for your nice video
very nicely explained. THANK YOU
bro you explained very well BUT,
All the three phosphate group are utilized in the formation of phosphodiester bonds 1 phosphate group is form the bond and the remaining two phosphate groups are consumed as a form of energy.
Gud experience
Thank u so muchhhh very helpful
My pleasure
Nice explanation
Very nice Bro.. Keep it up
☺☺
Thank you
Super explanation
Thankyou Sir very well explained
My pleasure
Such a nice explaination
☺☺
Nice explanation thank u
My pleasure
Is this process same for T4 dna ligase?
NH Lys ani rasaru what is it mean could you explain it again
So, just to be clear, the two phosphates from the ATP will be eliminated?
Exactly
Sir could you plz keep neural control and coordination
Thanks sir
❣️
How many nucleotide can be added by lygase enzyme?
You didn't explain what ligase actually does.. You just showed the ligation.
That ligation will be done by that ligase enzyme which i shown u clearly
@@bioscience6853 I must have missed it. Where did you mention the OB fold domain and the adenylation domain making up the catalytic core of LIG, as well as other specialized domains such as the dna binding domain in LIG I
This explanation is for bsc level. Not for msc brother
