Sparing Sinding has never been a good choice. He told the dragonborn, that if he spared him, he would stop killing people, and would live out in the wilderness. If you have played skyrim for a good time, you know through random encounters, that Sinding never really stops killing others. If you kill sinding, you can save these poor people he will end up killing later. And Saviors hide is cooler than the ring of hircine anyways. I let him live. He showed remorse and decided to live in the grotto (bloated mans grotto) forever, to not harm a human ever again. I would much likely kill Esbern or Delphin for command me (although I AM the dragonborn and they must take MY orders) killing Parthunaax. Funny how you cant kill Parthunaax (who killed thousands of humans and mer during the dragon wars, even children) and dont hesitate to kill Sinding (who killed 1 single child and instantly regreted it). Both showed remorse but you would only spare Parthunaax (if the game would let you choose). Viewed from the perspective of a moral compass, this makes no sense to me...And lets not forget what you do on your first real mission for the thieves guild (if you join them): You kill the innocent owner of the honey farm near Rifton. You do almost the same as Sinding (only difference: you kill an adult). If there would be a decision ingame, between choosing to spare Partunaax or Siding, i would choose Siding. Only viewed from the moral perspective of course, not the loot ;)
You don't have to kill the guy (Aringoth) on Goldenglow Estate, you do realize that right? Slightly taking offense since I live by the thieves code which you can't make a profit if they are dead. You literally sneak in there and take the 'Queen Bee Statue,' the 'glass jar with a bee in it' and pickpocket the key to the safe all the while Aringoth just stands there by the dresser wondering what the hell is going on and what the hell is in his room. If your pickpocket skill isn't high enough (which is dumb because your just stealing a key; save and if it fails, reload) you don't really even have to go near him, just lock-pick the safe to get the piece of paper 'Goldenglow Bill of Sale' to complete that part of the quest. I've even done the quest where none of the mercenaries died and I proceeded to pickpocket the cloths off their back and every weapon they held, just to make it more challenging and leave them butt naked wondering 'wtf, I could have sworn I got dressed this morning'... and plus I'm a thief, that happens to be better than Vex apparently. Also after doing that you literally can run up to the bee hives with mercs chasing you while laughing hysterically as all they can do is punch you, burn the three hives (quest completion) jump into the water and swim away waving at them saying 'compliments from the thieves guild, your worth every septim I stole from you lol.' BUT I guess some folks like being the crazed bull in a priceless Altmer shop, crush right on through to complete the objective. It has nothing to do with morals, just takes some FORETHOUGHT to make it morally right/wrong in your choices. You remind me of Mjoll the Lioness, sweet girl and has a heart of gold, but extraordinarily blunt and hates the thieves guild because she doesn't view them as a guild. Even siding with the Dark Brotherhood because at least (in her opinion) have a code of conduct, lmao. IF SHE ONLY KNEW! I apologize, I did say I took slight offense to what was said about being told to kill someone, the thieves guild doesn't murder just with this quest it was allowed if there is no other way... since you know... your supposed to be a newbie thief. Maybe more than slight from the look of things, sorry.
@@Nozthren No offence taken :) Normally i try to avoid that. But why he couldnt just give me the key? I know its his estate, but whats more important, your life or your money? I also accidently burned too many of the beestocks resulting in pissing of Maven. Which in the end, was worth it because i cant stand this woman :) The thieves guild seems to be twisted sometimes (when it comes to moral). Worst example: Mercer (stealing from his own guild and even killing guild members). I only steal from douchbags and rich folks. But i never steal from regular towns folk or the companions (I like them too much; Even more then the original fighters guild). I avoid killing anyone, unless thugs, bandits or necromancers.
I don't think anyone likes Maven... if it were okay morally to kill someone, she'd definitely be up there on that list (IF SHE WASN'T FREAKIN' ESSENTIAL). She definitely gives the Thieves Guild a bad rep, but mostly made up by you, the next Guild Master, which we get there by dealing with Mercer for his crimes and putting that curse on us. So if she wants anything done by the Thieves Guild, she'll have to go through you... 'who is nice groveling creature, yes Maven, you are.' As for thieving itself, I kind of view myself like a Robin Hood thief. Which means I may pickpocket you if you have money, though if you don't... I may leave something behind. I've also made certain that if a Dragon ever raids Riften, it'll be brought down by it's citizens long before the Dragonborn can ever do anything, worth a priceless value in my opinion so I'm just collecting what is owed over a longer period of time. ;P

The saviors hide is awesome, 15% magic resistance. I used the shield of solitude also, +30% magic resistance that makes 45% magic resistance. Ring of hircine is more useful if you’re playing as a werewolf but even when I was a werewolf I never transformed that much.
You know I usually spare him. But this time he went out from the cave as soon as I finished talking with Hercine(after killing the hunters). I killed him on the spot. I am a werewolf and I loved the idea of me having another real werewolf at my side but the thing is when "we" fought the hunter he actually watched me butchering them. He didnt attack so it didnt felt as cool as I thought. So after those 2 incidents I killed him. The idea of having a fellow werewolf coming randomly to your aid was very interesting but the choice is clear..
He didn’t steal the ring out of greed, he stole so he could control his transformations. Then hircine cursed his ring, probably unbeknownst to sindig, who then randomly transformed and killed the kid.
He talked about how little she was, how fragile, how hard it was to resist the feeling, still he stayed. Also he was very calm when he was a werewolf. He asked us to hunt together. He killed the girl because he wanted to.
@@julianadams3710 Why would Priests just leave an extremely rare ring just lying around ripe for the picking by some people? If I was one of the priests, I would put it in my fucking asshole, how many people would even consider going there?
the problem is, he tries saying his transformations were already hard to control, but that's untrue. werewolves retain control over when and where they can transform and during the transformation. not only that, but unlike vampires, the only way to become a werewolf is by choosing to become one. so he made that choice, then decided to steal a daedric artefact whose *actual* benefit was more transformations, killed a girl from the ring's curse, and then lied and said he never had control to justify stealing the ring.
As Harbinger of the Companions, Jarl of Jorrvaskr, and Alpha of the Circle, I find Sinding innocent, but the beast within, guilty. For his choice of justice are to never return to civilized life, or Curing of the beast blood.
The first time I found out about this quest was a guide. I was so excited! I made my way through to start the quest, a dragon killed the Father NPC and I couldn't even start it 🤓
He killed a child and by taking the ring I allowed him to get out of prison. I was a companion of the circle and know that you can control yourself if you really wanted to. So he either he is too weak willed to be a werewolf or he killed the child on purpose. Either way he had to die.
Aela during the silver hand hunt mentions some werewolves lose themselves and can't separate man from beast which goes to say not all werewolves are strong willed enough for the full control the companions have from being hardened warriors of vows.
@@darkwolfderai3920 the glenmoral witches gave the companions lycanthropy they told them they were giving them power thats why the companions can control their selves because they're not cursed with it sinding was bitten and stole hircines ring so he could control his transformations so hircine cursed it causing him to transform randomly he didn't kill the girl on purpose
@@H.K.5 You dont understand what a daedric prince is do you? They are not physical people like Miraak and Ebony Warrior who are just people with extremely powerful abilities. Daedric Princes control entire realms of Oblivion, they literally ARE their realms. That concept means they are interdimensional beings that just manifest physical forms as a representation of themselves. But that is not what they really are. Their bodies would be the size of entire planets/universal sizes. You couldnt kill a Daedric prince unless you had the ability to completely destroy an entire realm. And even then, the realm would just reform later over time because thats how deadric essences work. They are functionally immortal
It only took about 2 months, but finally a new decision. What other videos should we look at next, i'm in such a creating mood at the moment! Also be sure to drop a rating or share the video if you really enjoyed, I appreciate all your guys support!
Can you make a video how ES 5 Skyrim could have been a Game of Thrones game? There are similarities in the game like the hide and scaled armor look like that of daenerys targaryen. Ulfric's coat looks like a Stark coat. Maybe a video on builds would be awesome. I'm looking forward for builds like the alcoholic Orc or the Empirial beggar or the skooma snorting High Elf. Or the Wabbajack lord. Anyway great video and much love.
My Skyrim character is complicated. I killed Sinding, and later became both a werewolf and a member of the Dawnguard. I also have a grudge against the Thalmor and plan to assasinate Elenwen.
My character didn't care about him being a werewolf, he butchered a small child so he must die. (My character adopted Lucia first chance she got so shes got that mother bear thing going on)
It should also be mentioned, Sinding tells you during the prison dialogue he is out of control when he transforms, probably why Hircine cursed the ring to make him transform out of nowhere, to torment him. He states he couldn’t control his urges and his mind, and just killed her out of blood lust. Later when you meet him in Bloatedmans grotto, he talks to you from up on a ledge in werewolf form and asks you for your help, if you agree, he jumps down, and you fight the hunters. In a span of less than a day he's apparently conquered his inability to control his urges and now has complete control of himself in werewolf form enough to be so coherent as to retain his human mind enough to talk, reason, and bargain, and know friend from foe as you join forces. He's a liar. He had control of his mind. He wanted to kill that girl. As a human. He liked it. The ring made him transform and instead of running away, he indulged his sick desires as a werewolf and blamed Hircine for cursing him. The ring doesn’t change who you are, it just forces a transformation. Letting Sinding live is falling for his lie. I believe he's sorry in much the same as a serial killer who has remorse afterwards. But not because he feels bad, but because he was caught. And now has to pay. I killed him and everyone in that grotto as a werewolf myself and fed on their carcasses. All except for the Khajiit that was mortally wounded in beginning. He was a true hunter. I spared him the indignity of being reduced to dog food. RIP cat.
He said he wanted to control his transformations better Which is exactly what that ring did He's talking physically not mentally The mental part only happened because the ring

4:11 Yo, when is it ever directly told that Sinding "stole" the ring explicitly? Sinding could have very well just found the Ring somewhere (no different to finding Auriel's Shield or a powerful weapon) and put it on, only for Hircine to get angry that someone was spurning the "gift" of lycanthropy by using the artifact to suppress transformations. If you think finding a Daedric artifact lying around is impossible, I quote Malyn Varen as an example. How is it that he, a mage who does not respect Azura or revere her, obtain Azura's Star? We don't know how Sinding obtained the Ring of Hircine, only that he got his hands on it and the Father of Manbeasts cursed the Ring soon after. We don't know of Sinding's previous life before becoming a werewolf but I would assume that he would have been like any normal man, working at mills or something to make a living. He must have isolated himself in order to protect people from his uncontrollable transformations. Not many people can live in isolation, away from human contact. Sinding was simply trying to start anew in Falkreath. He went to the lumber mill to chop some wood because he thought that that was something he could do. Something safe. He didn't mean to harm the girl and regrets his actions. If you did kill him out of a sense of "justice", you would only be completing Hircine's circle of work. He is the one curses people with lycanthropy. It is not a disease that can be cured like vampirism can. Heck, even vampirism's cure is exceedingly difficult but almost no stories exist of curing lycanthropy, to my knowledge. Why condemn a man for actions that he cannot control? Why condemn him for simply seeking a normal life? By killing him, one would only prove that submission to the Daedric Princes is the only path because if you weren't doomed by the Daedra you most certainly would be by your fellow mortals. No doubt, the loss of one's offspring is something few, if any parent, can stomach with great grief. Sinding will not enter any kind place either. He is doomed to hunt forever in Hircine's Plane of Oblivion. He might just be forced to be an eternal prey, given the fact that he has already displeased the Prince. Understandably, Sinding should have foreseen Hircine's anger at Sinding's actions. Like Malyn Varen before, tampering with a Daedric artifact is suicidal. Malyn went mad at the cost of innocent lives yet it was Azura's actions that drove Malyn to insanity. The Daedric Prince of Dusk and Dawn is known for her vanity. Sinding more likely did not think that he was profaning the Huntsman of the Princes rather than being unaware of the dangers of using Daedric artifacts. And who the heck cares about magic resistance? A bit of enchanting skill and one or two quests is all you'll need for 100% magic resistance. Early on? The Saviour's Hide might prove useful. Being a werewolf? For a Companion, it might prove useful because running around in werewolf form is fun.
first off, nobody gets "cursed" with lycanthropy in the elder scrolls universe. the only way to acquire it is to choose to become one. vampirism is a disease that spreads to the unwilling (since molag bal created it and he's an asshole). second, there is a cure for lycanthropy, either by going to the wyrd hagravens and taking an innocent's life to cure yourself, or killing the hagravens and using their heads in place of the sacrifice (and I feel the former ceremony makes sense given, again, you choose to become a werewolf, thus wanting to cure it should come at a moral cost since it was your decision to begin with).
What about replies ? Does replying help ? How long does the reply have to be for channel growth to significantly impact the content creator's TH-cam algorithm and internet statistics before they can be converted into metaphorical credentials they we store in rectangular pieces of plastic that often dictate how society views our own self worth in the grand scheme of this beautiful planet that we've transmuted into a cold, and unforgiving world in which we inhabit. I usually just spare him, since it hurts whenever I kill him, as he is a good ally with good intentions. But, my current character, Svalinn, is a Shield Mage (Fudge Muppet’s Vanguard build with some tweaks), and is someone who wants to keep everyone safe. He was originally just going to spare Sinding, hearing his plans. But he felt the urge of the beast while wearing the ring. Felt the same struggle Sinding did. And while helping protect him, he saw just how vicious Sinding was. So, after lifting the curse from the ring, he made a decision. He killed Sinding, and is now second guessing that choice after getting the Savior’s Hide, because now he’ll never know if Sinding would have been able to stay in the cave, or would end up goong feral and hunting again. He’s definitely going to freak out joining the companions later on, because of this quest. But I think the Companions will also be a way for him to forgive himself, since he sees that there are some who go feral, and others that have almost full control. But both groups are slaughtered without mercy by the Silver Hand, leaving Svalinn to now defend the Companions as best he can from this threat.
StraightupIrish I've watched you for some time and even been looking for Maiq and put a Reward on for anyone who can bring me his head.BUT TODAY YES TODAY I remove that hit and you have brought joy to my heart. You are correct Sinding must go. Protection for Maiq from this day foward.😏👊
Thanks this was a lot of fun to listen to. I wasn't sure how to handle Sinding it felt as should kill him given that he killed a little child and was ready to kill others. But it felt wrong to kill how felt cursed but he wasn't going change.
Dude, magic resistance, shmagic resistance. The armor I’m already wearing is literally 10 times better. I’m taking both, but the hide is just going in a drawer lol.
I played the quest. 10 out of 10 times Hircine took and kept the ring the moment that I took Sinding's hide. It will ((Not)) allow you to put the ring into a chest. I even left Bloated Man's Grotto to place the ring into a chest outside of the Grotto. Because, it is a quest item. It doesn't allow you to stash it. In the end, I only ended up with the Savior's Hide. No Ring of Hircine.
Just an FYI to those that might not know about it (even if it's 11 years too late), If you spare Sinding, he will go around killing bandits. Which is why I spare him most of the time, because neither the ring nor the hide appeals to my Heavy Armor wearing Paladin goodie two-shoes self, but living for atonement does.
In 7:15 you say you can achieve 100% magic resist with saviour's hide. Except that there is a cap of 85%. You can further boost it with element resist but you never get 100%. Never wondered why you never get 100% immune to dragon's breath and still take damage?
I think this more on how you play with your character. I believe if your character is more of a mystical, morally independent I think he/she would spare Sinding. If the character is lawful or simply sees the world in black and white, self-preservation in mind, they would kill Sinding to prevent more attacks.
This quest. Such as utterly guttered disappointment. Back in the day in Morrowind, we get natural catastrophies signaling the coming of the bloodmoon. A grand hunt is strategically organized over multiple days, because the bloodmoon comes literally only once in every era. The greatest champions from all corners of the island. Dozens of werewolves and the hunting grounds are multiple layers of an actual labyrinth. And Skryim comes with this crap. Again a grand event which only occurs once in the entire era. We get: - 1 werewolf - random lowly hunters, not even chamions. - A half baked circle, not even a labyrinth. - the entire event is over under 10 min, no preparations were made.

Also after doing that you literally can run up to the bee hives with mercs chasing you while laughing hysterically as all they can do is punch you, burn the three hives (quest completion) jump into the water and swim away waving at them saying 'compliments from the thieves guild, your worth every septim I stole from you lol.'
BUT I guess some folks like being the crazed bull in a priceless Altmer shop, crush right on through to complete the objective.
'who is nice groveling creature, yes Maven, you are.'
As for thieving itself, I kind of view myself like a Robin Hood thief. Which means I may pickpocket you if you have money, though if you don't... I may leave something behind. I've also made certain that if a Dragon ever raids Riften, it'll be brought down by it's citizens long before the Dragonborn can ever do anything, worth a priceless value in my opinion so I'm just collecting what is owed over a longer period of time. ;P
@@Nozthren he died in my playthrough because he agro'ed me immediately for no reason and lydia oneshoted him.
@@tatsuhirosatou5513 Lol he aggro'd you because of Lydia. She isn't exactly sneaky nor is she subtle. Thieves work best alone, either that or you get someone from the Dark Brotherhood... but I feel like that wouldn't be honoring their profession. Dunno I just know Lydia isn't a sneak thief and she is very much the viking warrior so I'm not exactly surprised lol.
SUI: "you wouldn't cheat in real life"
Me: about that...
But remember, he stole the ring because he was actively trying to prevent his transformations.
Yeah but he still took it without permission
How did he even steal it
Travis letchford It’s a real ring, it’s a physical object so he probably just walked into a temple to the prince and swiped it
@@julianadams3710 Why would Priests just leave an extremely rare ring just lying around ripe for the picking by some people? If I was one of the priests, I would put it in my fucking asshole, how many people would even consider going there?
the problem is, he tries saying his transformations were already hard to control, but that's untrue. werewolves retain control over when and where they can transform and during the transformation. not only that, but unlike vampires, the only way to become a werewolf is by choosing to become one. so he made that choice, then decided to steal a daedric artefact whose *actual* benefit was more transformations, killed a girl from the ring's curse, and then lied and said he never had control to justify stealing the ring.
Everyone has already made their choice and i think everyone maked the same choice.
Me: Spare him
SUI: That's right kill him
Me: Huh Opps :v
As Harbinger of the Companions, Jarl of Jorrvaskr, and Alpha of the Circle, I find Sinding innocent, but the beast within, guilty. For his choice of justice are to never return to civilized life, or Curing of the beast blood.

I killed Sinding AND the Hunters to prove that i am the apex predator
Sorry mate, I'm playing a werewolf build. I'm getting that ring.
I had to get the ring, go back and kill sindig because Lod died before I could talk to him and I wanted that Obilvion walker achievement.
The first time I found out about this quest was a guide.
I was so excited! I made my way through to start the quest, a dragon killed the Father NPC and I couldn't even start it 🤓
Poor Sinding doesn't deserve to die
2 uploads in 2 days?
Who are you and what have you done with our boi Irish?
M'aiq....
He speaks slowly, so 1 video is worth twice the content
You guys know you can get both items!! I just completed this quest again and got the skin and ring again.
@@darkwolfderai3920 Forgot about that. Cool
Wait a second, by this reasoning you should kill Hircine too
Yeah, but you cannot kill daedric princes.
Why do you think so?
@@mariosmatzoros3553 That never made sense to me. You can kill Miraak and Ebony Warrior who are basically Gods but can't kill Hircine?
@@H.K.5 basically gods vs gods...see one is immensely strong while the other is all powerful
Sinding has done the impossible in all of Skyrim. A child has been killed.
You *can't* kill Sinding before he teached you the ultimate tecnique of killing childs in skyrim. This dude is Hircineitself in my eyes^^
U can kill him and the hunters to get both the ring and the armor

2 vids in a row. WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!
2 fantastic vids in a row? You spoil us
Can you make a video how ES 5 Skyrim could have been a Game of Thrones game? There are similarities in the game like the hide and scaled armor look like that of daenerys targaryen. Ulfric's coat looks like a Stark coat. Maybe a video on builds would be awesome. I'm looking forward for builds like the alcoholic Orc or the Empirial beggar or the skooma snorting High Elf. Or the Wabbajack lord. Anyway great video and much love.
weird thing i just in riverwood after i completed the and when returned bloated mans grotto there two sindings
What sort of skooma you take I need to know for research purposes
Very well made video btw, i really liked it :D
How does he have daedric bow and arrows at level 14?.
I got a ebony sword at level nine once good times
There is also a bug. Where you can get cured from lycanthropy and still be able to transform. Don't know if you can be a vampire and a werewolf though
My Skyrim character is complicated. I killed Sinding, and later became both a werewolf and a member of the Dawnguard. I also have a grudge against the Thalmor and plan to assasinate Elenwen.
My character didn't care about him being a werewolf, he butchered a small child so he must die.
(My character adopted Lucia first chance she got so shes got that mother bear thing going on)
Some may call me perverted but DAAANG man, I just gave my female Nord that Hide and let me tell you, best armor in the game.
RIP cat.
I think you a little too much into this...
@@sergiopusep Impossible
All hail lord Hircine!
He said he wanted to control his transformations better
Which is exactly what that ring did
He's talking physically not mentally
The mental part only happened because the ring
Because the ring was cursed him giving away the ring must of gave him full control of his Transformation
I prefer leaving him alive, only because Hircine sounds stoked about it
"Man, you really showed those hunters whatfor! Take this ring!"
"Ill met by moonlight proud Titania. Am not I thy lord?"
Hardest decision (which aint hard but anyway) Silus Vesuiuuuusssss bici
Haha I kill the dude every time. Better him dead and not wanting to ressurect Dagon and I get a dagger than the eventual resurrection of the cult with me only getting gold.
I killed Silus because he attacked me right after Dagon told me to kill him. Fuck him.
Why take the armor when I can enchant my own twice as powerful?
NO Hircine ring go brr
The price for stealing is being forced to kill a child, then death. Yeah that makes sense
I spared him. And I don't regret it.
Damn! I've been looking for a handsome husband everywhere in Skyrim. I met Sinding and fell in love with him, but I don't want to be a werewolf. I cured myself from vampirism and I'd like to find a cure for him, but there seems to be none. 💔😢

How was he to know the ring would be cursed? In fact, didn't he steal it to prevent deaths from happenning?
Indeed a man fucked by higher powers how unfathomable
I love being a werewolf on Skyrim and I'll never kill my brothers and sisters of the bloodline that's just me though werewolf for life

Struggling to live upon due to human necessities becoming increasingly harder to obtain legally in such a competitive society that simultaneously fuels our imagination and fuels our stress and anxiety under a pre-established set of standards that are often ignored by random idiots on the internet using overly verbose replies to get some kind of cheap laugh out of the person currently reading this, so as to interject some kind dopeameanie like effect into their brain and possibly enough so that they like the reply that was completely unnecessary in the first place.....

I look up a song and this was the top vid TH-cam knows me well
I don't 100% see how magic resistance is better than having strong heavy armor
But both groups are slaughtered without mercy by the Silver Hand, leaving Svalinn to now defend the Companions as best he can from this threat.
how do you get to 100% 7:17

I played the quest. 10 out of 10 times Hircine took and kept the ring the moment that I took Sinding's hide. It will ((Not)) allow you to put the ring into a chest. I even left Bloated Man's Grotto to place the ring into a chest outside of the Grotto. Because, it is a quest item. It doesn't allow you to stash it. In the end, I only ended up with the Savior's Hide. No Ring of Hircine.
Resist magic is capped at 85%, which is really easy to get as a Breton.
I love your videos so much

Just an FYI to those that might not know about it (even if it's 11 years too late), If you spare Sinding, he will go around killing bandits. Which is why I spare him most of the time, because neither the ring nor the hide appeals to my Heavy Armor wearing Paladin goodie two-shoes self, but living for atonement does.
But isn't there also a Class Choice, would kill as Werewolf another Werewolf , or an as Org , or as Witcher
You should do a video on kill or not angi idk
In 7:15 you say you can achieve 100% magic resist with saviour's hide. Except that there is a cap of 85%. You can further boost it with element resist but you never get 100%.
Never wondered why you never get 100% immune to dragon's breath and still take damage?
Actually killed him but for some reason I found him still alive as a werewolf wandering
I think this more on how you play with your character. I believe if your character is more of a mystical, morally independent I think he/she would spare Sinding. If the character is lawful or simply sees the world in black and white, self-preservation in mind, they would kill Sinding to prevent more attacks.

We get:

- random lowly hunters, not even chamions.
- A half baked circle, not even a labyrinth.
- the entire event is over under 10 min, no preparations were made.
