We are new subscribers to your channel. We have just upgraded from a Jayco Freedom poptop to a Jayco Starcraft 19.6 caravan. So for us a different type of towing. My husband is up to speed with weights etc but we found this series especially helpful. He made the comment that he would be confident buying a caravan from you. thanks

The problem is that you need to comply with ALL towing limits and if one of them is breached then you are at fault and no insurance will cover either the van or the vehicle.
Rear axle limit is one the most breached limit that people are not aware of.

Yes, but when you connect the van to the vehicle, the vehicle could be overweight.

How / where do you get you car weighted fully loaded. It seems rather impractical to know that weight every time you travel.?

You can take your car to any recycling plant or weighbridge. I hope this helps.

I have a 1972 Millard caravan and it doesn't have the compliance plate on it how do I find that information please??

A lot of older caravans did not have any type of 'plate' on them. The registration papers should have your tare and GTM.
