I just love how you took two Triangle of Power and then a Blood Donation :D you are so good in this game, that even playing one-armed is not enough challange for you!
Good video, I thought that this would be the last character to clear danger 5 with, but I cleared it this morning using a lightning shiv build, inspired by your recent mutant X one armed video.
Scaling items are my absolute favourite, so I was really excited for this class. I found this guide good as a starting point, but echoing some of the other comments I found holding on to the axe *until at least wave 9* to be significantly better. The axe swings and many enemies just make the stacking extremely strong, and the range builds just couldn't deal with the masses of horde enemies while melee attack swings would be fine. Also, you say this class is "all downsides", but it does actually have *one* secret upside. Because it only has 1 item, it only has to spend 1/6th as much money (and rerolls) on finding items. This makes it so you can stack to a tier 4 ghost axe extremely quickly compared to other classes and benefit more from stacking that up quickly, as well as focusing your money on useful items over spending it on weapon upgrades. I just cleared this after many, many attempts and the final successful build I found was Ghost axe for waves 1-11 Pivot to ghost sceptre for 12-16 During wave 13 I locked a Scythe and saved for the next three rounds to afford that. Prioritise speed (to survive the midgame), armour/dodge and attack speed This approach meant I was above average dps/economy during the early game, had a huge power dip during the midgame when I picked up the sceptre (I just focused on running away and stacking as much HP as I could manage), but once I got the Scythe I was invincible. I cleared both wave 20 bosses in 20 seconds with only 1 silver bullet (each scythe swing scaled up to about 1-2k damage) Lastly, contrary to what was mentioned in the video, I think attack speed is actually still extremely important. You get plenty of damage and this character still *needs* attack speed to cover the fact that they can't attack in multiple directions at once. I still focused on picking up a tonne of attack speed items, e.g. coffee, and got my damage purely from the axe and later the scythe. Edit: One final strategy point I wanted to emphasise is that you should lock a weapon that you want to pivot into well ahead of when you would buy it. This lets you plan around the pivot and stops you from scrambling with rerolls to find a replacement at the 11th hour.
One positive of this character you didn't mention in the intro is you get value for 6 weapons (a little less) for buying 1 weapon, so early on you can invest more in things like harvesting and luck, and though it's clearly not enough to make up for the disadvantages, you end up with a decent amount of economy from this saving and early harvesting. I'd imagine the total amount spent on weapons for a character is well into the hundreds so saving 5/6 of that is substantial
Neat take. I am surprised how far apart we ended up. I hate harvesting on this character because if you don't do something unconventional, you will suck very rapidly, but you don't need money to buy lots of weapons, as you can't USE weapons. I don't need late game economy, I need early game economy, and because you find so many stats bad (attack speed, lifesteal, elemental, engineering, crit, harvesting, flat damage), I don't actually want to be rerolling level ups. I want to be rerolling shops. As far as economy stats, I take luck every chance I get, but I ignore harvesting completely and don't take + or - enemies at all. I also keep the ghost axe for way longer, because the wave 9 swarm is a huge amount of bonus damage. I have found that by far my most success is if I just build luck and come online by wave 10-12. I am basically racing for enough percentile damage and luck to one shot swarm enemies with an elephant or cyberball. If you do this, you have basically already won. I don't stack flat damage at all, because the axe doesn't need it and I don't know what I will build into, but it will almost certainly be a purple or a red. I don't buy flat damage until I have some reason to (mainly, baby with a beard), simply because If you have a legendary ghost axe, percentile damage starts out twice as impactful as flat damage for me, and by the time I have +100% bonus damage to make them even, I am really hoping to transition away from hitting stuff with an axe damage. I don't actually know what to swap to as far as weapons go, just because I don't REALLY know the weapons well enough, but I try to get at least epic (purple), if not legendary. Really though, I see absolutely no problem with just finishing the game with a legendary ghost axe if I don't find anything. Mainly, I find that If I find a couple sources of luck damage, and a decent amount of mitigation, I can win. Consumable heal is obviously important, but it's mainly "did I get enough armor and dodge in time", and "did I actually come online at all, or do I have a zero cyberball build on wave 12". I have found if I don't have some sort of mass wave clear on wave 12, I just end up having to walk through enemies at the perimeter of the map, instead of weaving between them.
That's a very cool idea, the synergy with the flat damage bonus and non-attack sources of damage is super strong of course. I also think you can *definitely* stick with the axe longer. My main goal with these is mostly to make the win fairly consistent for someone following the guide, so I don't like to rely on single specific items. I think the plan of "any ranged weapon" is easier to execute every time than finding specifically cyberbull or elephant (alien eyes would also work well of course). So while that build sounds awesome and very strong I like going with the (imo) easier to execute plan
@@Cephalopocalypse I have also tended to keep the axe until after wave 9 -- you stack soooo much damage that wave! and I find it pretty intuitive to clear waves with a single swing weapon - it's all about positioning :D
When beating the game with all potatos in danger 5, I though I was gonna have the hardest timee with one armed, but I did it on the 3rd try with a SMG. Straight up reachd 30+ waves easily focusing only on ranged damage, killing all the elites as well Also I cant believee how you lucked out there in the end with the triangle of power/blood donation... dealing 0 dmg but still surviving last 20-30 secs. Otherwise, you could have easily cleared the waves
Not to mention that I didn't even notice it happening! I can't believe it myself. Just goes to show that dodging mechanics are important and can let even the most bone-headed player muddle through I guess :P SMG is definitely a great item for this class as well, I think in a lot of ways it's similar to the slingshot (as I mention in my most recent class guide, shameless plug)
I liked the general thoughts on the character class at the beginning of the video. You got pretty lucky with these items! And I'm surprised you didn't get to kill the bosses. I'm not sure gentle alien is as good as you think it is though. Theoretically it's great, but that's based on two assumptions: 1. that you actually are able to kill 5% more enemies and 2. that you are able to pick up the materials they drop. You also seem to not like -X% enemies, but again - this is very build dependend. When I notice that I struggle to kill everything or am even at risk of dying myself, I have experienced them to be helpful. I have a tendency to prioritize defense - which sometimes results in a lack of offense. Picking a gentle alien on a character that should have issues clearing waves like this one due to pure lack of attacks (unless one gets lucky) doesn't seem wise or intuitive to me.
This is good, I used a similar strategy. I used the axe early to build up my damage then switched over to the slingshot like you did but then around level 14/15 I picked up the nuclear launcher. With the increased damage and attack speed it's crazy effective.
Great guide, I got my first one-armed D5 win after watching this! I noticed something during my playthough, and I think the math on damage for one-armed vs 6 armed brotatos is off. I notice in a lot of my runs multiple arms will shoot in the direction of the same target. It ends up creating an effect really similar to overkill. I'm not sure exactly how you'd calculate this, but I think the single-armed isn't nerfed on damage quite as much as you'd think. Just my two-cents, but nice explanation on everything, and thanks for helping me get that one-armed on danger 5!
Awesome, glad it helped! And yeah that's true especially in early waves, though of course less so in later waves when there's more for each weapon to target (or vs elites where the one armed has the most problems imo)
Recently did a run with One-armed on danger 0 with a shotgun and a lot of attack speed and damage increase. I know people would say danger 0 is easy, but I was just starting out and this was a good run.
Finally beat One-Armed D5, your guide helped A LOT. As you said, the consistency doesn't really exista haha. Thanks!!! Also, could you, please, make a Artificier guide? I beated D5 yesterday, but i was lucky as hell (Anvil wave 6 + 2 Nuclear Blaster wave 11)
In my personal experience I found out this character to struggle with groups very easily, I think the shredder is an interesting strategy. You should try it!
A nice much needed “buff” for this character / class would be - to not also double the dmg loss when purchasing in the shop or upgrades. That or just give it 400% attack speed.
Couldn't find a Slingshot, so I ended up taking Ghost Axe into Wave 10 and found a T3 Nuclear Launcher. It carried me to my highest Wave yet at 37. I've noticed most of these tough characters have a really difficult beginning, but get insanely strong late game.
When playing melee One-Armed you should always aim MANUALLY towards the biggest herds of enemy. When having 6 weapons I don't like manual aim, but with this one I do. Just cleared the game with One-Armed+Ghost Axe. At the end, one swing did over 1000 damage. Cleared wave 20 easily and killed all the elites.
I only played him once and finished with the Plank. Explosive damage and elemental damage does also benefit from the character 100% bonus. And i assume the sledegehammer or thundersword would be nice upgrade, which i sadly did not find. Also i feel like melee might be just better, since you can clear more enemies in a single hit
its funny how you keep saying bad stuff about One Armed, yet your run was perfectly fine xD My experience with this character isnt as bad as you make it look like either I usually keep the Ghost Axe much longer, and go melee with this character most of the time, unless i find a really strong ranged weapon
There was a video on youtube the guy made a one armed build with the ghost flint, and he dominated with life steal. it was that build I unlocked most of the other characters with. now a year later the video is nowhere on youtube to be found. it's like it never existed. I have searched and searched youtube and the video seems to have been taken down.
Interesting! If you know the name, you might be able to find it on one of the mirrored hosting sites, but people sadly do sometimes take down their videos or get banned etc. Hopefully this guide also helps!
@@Cephalopocalypse I found it, it was SSundee, but he changed the format of the video, he was on loud character with ghost flint and his buddy was on one armed with ghost flint. now it is a highlight video not the 1v1 video he did that showcased both builds.
Got super lucky and got rocket launcher wave 7, had it legendary by wave 12 and just sat in a corner the rest of my run watching little noob aliens explode XD
Shame about Blood Donation + Triangle of Power, was watching at decaying numbers of your damage with broken heart. Also the Snake would be a really good buy at the last shop, you had the sausage. But still, man, how do you do it, the dodging? It is just incredible, thats what I lack to win them on 5th danger (just got ~10 characters with 5th) Do you play on PC or console (the game looks different from what I see on PC)? Do you play with keyboard or controller?
Haha yeah, that was a pretty big blunder! Definitely not my finest moment. Thanks so much! Dodging I'm afraid is mostly practice, and I've been playing video games (sometimes professionally) for several decades, so I've put a *lot* of hours in. The biggest mistake I think people make is to not stop moving enough - you can often avoid enemies by just standing still, and when you don't have to predict your own movement it's one less thing to keep track of on the screen. Definitely have to find your own style though! This is on PC, with keyboard - the difference is probably that I have character and projectile highlighting turned on in the options - I definitely recommend those settings!
10:24 Not true, i've managed this with a max level shredder without using silver bullet. It's definitely possible to kill elites with this character if ur dmg is high enough.
i usually do the same start but keep the axe until end of wave 9 (first horde) and build more defensively early (armor, dodge, regen). until wave 9 damage you take are not significant if you dodge well, and horde wave stack you for almost +40 damage% which is really high. And after i pivot into multi hit weapon
I had great boss clear with lghtning shiv, high elem, and 3-4 sausages. If u can get a ricochet or baby beard it snowballs pretty well. But really good boss clear. Also had 4 lvl q turrets.
I got very lucky once and got the improved tools item with a bunch of turrets and my god the little buggers were like mini guns, plus two med turrets all I had to do was stand there and tank XD
Best weapon for this character is the shredder on at least wave 9. The shotgun is good, too. The mp and revolver is also acceptable if you have enough movement speed and a one or more bandanas. But the slingshot is very bad without any gecko or the sifd relict.
You made some major mistakes here IMO:1. Triangle of power=HUGE GAMBLE 2. Triangle + Bloody hand= $uicide 3. Getting extra hp AFTER capping max hp 4. More enemies=more materials BUT also more firepower needed to deal with said enemies 4. Low range=harder to hit and dodge enemies. How you managed to beat this game is beyond me... Explaining the characters is a great idea, keep it pls.
Good lord this was insanely hard. Took about 50 tries or so, and I never managed to get sling + baby or pierce early enough to get past the midgame (w10-12). Lucky run ended up being 2 vigilante rings relatively early so won with pure dmg.
Yep, this one is brutal, I think it is the hardest class. It's also pretty snowball-y, so a lot of people got lucky and had easy experiences, and don't understand why it's so hard!
I swear to god after watching this video, im still loosing in 0 difficulty 20th time in a row, im about to complete fkin game but this fikin potatoe is making me insane
Building turrets on this character becomes ridiculously OP if you get Improved tools to drop in the shop. Try it out bro it's hilarious seeing regular turrets shoot faster than smgs, and if you get heal turrets then you win the video game
@Cephalopocalypse Three heal turrets and a stack of engineering, with some armor points makes you nigh unkillable just standing by the turrets. In this case upgrading your attack speed even further actually becomes a viable option as it further improves the ROF of your turrets. Unfortunately it's luck based but still a hilarious niche build.
One time I got the baby with beard and double anti-elite bullets I was able to kill all elites (obviusly I got better elites and was surviving) so it's possible. Although the other hours trying this were completely miserable. I also don't know if farming damage with axe is worth it seeing how often I failed to get ranged weapon before wave 6 or died wave 5.
I don't know if sling has had a major downgrade since this video was made or not, but this came nowhere near viable for me. After a few trials I found that plank seems to work the best for me. If you can get a dynamite and/or rip and tear it will create enough board clear to make it viable for me.
I tried lightninh shiv and it turned out to be a very effective weapon as it shoots lighning that chases far enemies. also got lucky by rolling gnome that's why i won
I could run this back exactly the same 10 times and still wouldn’t drop a level 2 slingshot from waves 4-8. I even spent mats hard rolling for it at shop 4. My luck is fine (20+) and still it doesn’t happen. Did you have to do multiple runs for the video to get the drops to line up in your favor?
You can use any multihit weapon that you find - don't hard roll for it unless you get pretty deep (wave 10+) without finding one. Also that's a weird accusation to make!
There should be a study done on how difficulty is done in Brotato. I found the one armed to be very easy and one of the first ones I completed danger 5 with. Crazy to hear so many find it difficult. I've struggled so much more with other taters. Edit: Holy crap. You took the self damage item while having two triangles of power? The balls. Edit 2: Haha, prob forgot about the triangles I guess. How do you not see the numbers 1 and crits of 2 and not ask yourself where the fk did my damage go? While at the same time crap talking the setup. Funny stuff.
Managed to clear one armed danger 5 with a lightning shiv. I got 1 sausage 1 snake, some turrets and mines, and engineering conversion. I got lucky and got a red shiv before wave 9, and that's what allowed me to win. And got a second sausage around wave 15. Don't think I killed a single elite, and died on endless wave 22.
You got it! Should be up early next week. :D Just a heads up you may want to turn on channel notifications since youtube likes to hide new videos even from subscribers :/
That's definitely a risk with this character, but any multi-hit weapon can work if you find it - you should also be able to use lightning shiv, shuriken, shotgun, pretty much whatever you find first!
I have not been able to find an smg or a slingshot around the switch time to save a run there. Frustrating but I can tell you a purple ghost axe can drag you all the way to level 12 lol
Damn im such an idiot why didnt i just get a wave 7 baby with a beard ... Was on the right tracks, realised after 2 runs that without AoE/pierce it was a struggle to survive and profit from wave 9 but managed to get pretty far with the shredder but it just doesnt scale as well for the mummies - same problem with the shuriken it only scales 25% with melee damage. Good to know the slingshot gets 80% with ranged!
@@Cephalopocalypse beat it earlier today, only a few left now, but stuck on fisherman spears seem to be the way to go but I've died 3 times in a row now because of either bad RNG (I love getting 1 armour in 5 waves) and sometimes the spear targeting is wonky which is bad when the reset takes so long, might try and hybrid build with them next with swords to get anything that slips through.
I first tried to make one Armed D5 with the claws because they scale with Attack Speed and i actually managed to kill the first elite sometimes but later on i alswys died because of all the enemies. Is hopeless to play till wave 20 with claws?
Claws will be pretty hard I think. The short range punishes you a lot, so one armed I think usually wants to go with ranged weapons. I like the idea of the attack speed scaling though!
The difference of 210% and 206% is certainly not 4%. Its slightly less than 2% 15:40. The fact that he relizes than getting more attack speed is less usefull because high attack speed number. But then doesnt relize that damage% also dimishishes in value the more of it you have is strange
I'm very clearly referring to the fact that one armed doubles damage gains and losses, so we lose 4% off the listed value rather than the 2% the item says. This has nothing to do with how valuable the stat is or not.
The only weapon this might be "buffed" with is excaliber, you get sll the binuses on 1 weapon, cthat penslizes you for having ither tier 5 weapoms....but good luck getting that one particular weapon xD
I find this character to just be luck based. It all depends on if I get hood stuff in the shop. Wave 13 and still stuck on a purple weapon? Too bad 😂 Because of this I invest heavily in luck.
I really like this vid but this run is seriously annoying since it's predicated on getting a slingshot early on, feels like 80-90% of runs fail early on just cuz of rng and it's driving me crazy
Thanks! And yeah there's some luck involved, but it doesn't *have* to be a slingshot - any high tier ranged weapon you find before level 10 should work (smg, flamethrower, minigun, etc). If you can hang on to the ghost axe for wave 9 it's worth a lot of damage, but I do think it's easiest if you swap to the first good ranged weapon you see.

Awesome, congrats on the win! And yeah, for sure, I'll add artificer to the list
In my personal experience I found out this character to struggle with groups very easily, I think the shredder is an interesting strategy. You should try it!
Somehow beat this D5 1st try just fallowing your guide lol didnt get any of the same drops so made a completely crazy build but its done!
Nice, congrats!
A nice much needed “buff” for this character / class would be - to not also double the dmg loss when purchasing in the shop or upgrades. That or just give it 400% attack speed.
I had so much fun with that class playing elemental dagger with setting everything on fire.
Couldn't find a Slingshot, so I ended up taking Ghost Axe into Wave 10 and found a T3 Nuclear Launcher. It carried me to my highest Wave yet at 37. I've noticed most of these tough characters have a really difficult beginning, but get insanely strong late game.
Nice! Yeah nuclear launcher is probably the single best weapon for one armed if you find it, it solves all the problems the class has
When playing melee One-Armed you should always aim MANUALLY towards the biggest herds of enemy.
Also i feel like melee might be just better, since you can clear more enemies in a single hit
its funny how you keep saying bad stuff about One Armed, yet your run was perfectly fine xD
My experience with this character isnt as bad as you make it look like either
I usually keep the Ghost Axe much longer, and go melee with this character most of the time, unless i find a really strong ranged weapon
How does triangle of power and taking 1 dmg a second work out in the game mechanics?
Badly, as it turns out! I don't notice during this run but you can see my damage dropping rapidly!
It is just incredible, thats what I lack to win them on 5th danger (just got ~10 characters with 5th)
Do you play on PC or console (the game looks different from what I see on PC)?

Not true, i've managed this with a max level shredder without using silver bullet.
And after i pivot into multi hit weapon
i just go bouncy shiv. you one shot everything
Funny, I thought this guy was powerful my first time trying him. I just got the game and with this guy I beat difficulty 1 for my first time.
technical talk at start is cool
Just did this one, had a lvl 4 rocket launcher at wave 8, and swapped it to Excalibur by wave 21. Easiest dngr 5 of my life 😂
was able to kill many elites. 0/10 horrible guide, subed
I had great boss clear with lghtning shiv, high elem, and 3-4 sausages. If u can get a ricochet or baby beard it snowballs pretty well. But really good boss clear. Also had 4 lvl q turrets.
I cant seem to get a ranged weapon before lvl 7 where i end up dieing😢
Won with Shredder gun. I used the axe to a level 10. Bump up luck to get better item drops that will in turn boost other stats
It's also pretty snowball-y, so a lot of people got lucky and had easy experiences, and don't understand why it's so hard!
did it with lightning shiv from the start and it was fun. just stack as much element dmg as u can
Any multihit weapon should work, that's a good one!
You are my hero! I tried it Ceph's way, but I never got a decent range weapon to drop. Shiv + Element stacking worked after only a couple of tries.
I have never raged as much at anything in my life. It's like playing elden ring
I swear to god after watching this video, im still loosing in 0 difficulty 20th time in a row, im about to complete fkin game but this fikin potatoe is making me insane
Briliant video. Good job
Thanks!
Building turrets on this character becomes ridiculously OP if you get Improved tools to drop in the shop. Try it out bro it's hilarious seeing regular turrets shoot faster than smgs, and if you get heal turrets then you win the video game
True, the issue is just finding it! It's a sick combo though
Wouldnt the Burning Spreads have solved ur crowd control issue at the last two waves?
Chain Gun is op on this character, I won a danger 1 run with it, killing the final boss in around 3 seconds
Nuclear launcher solves the problem for this character. I beat final bosses on danger 5
Funny stuff.
the 1 damage in the last wave was so painful to watch xD
I found that slingshot works well with this class
Just cleared my first danger 3 with a one armed slingshot ignite build.
Nice!
The number of times I have taken bloody hand and forgot I had triange is honestly embarrassing 39:47
Could you do a Bull guide?
You got it! Should be up early next week. :D
Just a heads up you may want to turn on channel notifications since youtube likes to hide new videos even from subscribers :/
so many contradictions. you survived on pure reflexes.
Thanks! Gotta have good dodging to win with the harder characters
Too bad you lost 4% damage per second with the blood donation, went from 700 crits to 2 real fast
One armed gave me my easiest D5 win (and my second ever D5 win) I will NOT let you call my boy "the worst class"
Just can't seem to roll a slingshot if i pick axe in the beginning :( 4 tries to 10+ now
That's definitely a risk with this character, but any multi-hit weapon can work if you find it - you should also be able to use lightning shiv, shuriken, shotgun, pretty much whatever you find first!
almost killed the run with the bloody hand XD
5 runs so far dying on wave 8 or 9, can not get a decent ranged weapon to show up, have yet to see a single sling shot, oy...
Yeah, I think you want multihit weapons like slingshot, lightning shiv etc more than explosions to make best use of the bonuses. Good luck!
I chose the lightning shiv, it worked fine.
Also a good choice for one-armed! It's the same as a slingshot in a lot of ways with the bounces.
Don't feel bad about letting Bloody Hand ruin your Triangles; one time I took Weird Ghost on a Sick run...somewhere around Wave 13.
Haha, a classic. The number of people who have told me about losing Sick runs that way has to be in the dozens by now :P
I screamed when u grabbed 1 dmg per second and with ever hit u lost more and more dmg. ouch
I did this one on my second try even without starting ghost hammer.. but i absolutely cant defeat D5 with arms dealer
Oh nice! And don't worry I got you - Arms Dealer guide right here on the channel!
My clear consisted of ghost axe till wave 12 for 300% Damage and then i switched to elemental shiv.
Watching the difference in how the axe swings on pc versus mobile makes me really pissed at mobile. It's so much worse
This has nothing to do with how valuable the stat is or not.
try out shuriken crit build on onehanded.... amazing
True! Any weapon with multi-attack does really well!
use the slingshot and the one armed character
The only weapon this might be "buffed" with is excaliber, you get sll the binuses on 1 weapon, cthat penslizes you for having ither tier 5 weapoms....but good luck getting that one particular weapon xD
If only there were a way to grab it reliably!
wow man this is so clever
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
I think best weapon on One armed is Shredder
I find this character to just be luck based. It all depends on if I get hood stuff in the shop.
Wave 13 and still stuck on a purple weapon? Too bad 😂
Because of this I invest heavily in luck.
What's he have against snake? 🐍😂
Like the intros being a bit more informative
I really like this vid but this run is seriously annoying since it's predicated on getting a slingshot early on, feels like 80-90% of runs fail early on just cuz of rng and it's driving me crazy
Thanks! And yeah there's some luck involved, but it doesn't *have* to be a slingshot - any high tier ranged weapon you find before level 10 should work (smg, flamethrower, minigun, etc). If you can hang on to the ghost axe for wave 9 it's worth a lot of damage, but I do think it's easiest if you swap to the first good ranged weapon you see.
keep it up
Thanks so much :D I intend to, daily even!
Id ratjer be stuck using this bozo forever than jack even once ever again. Jack almost made me throw my controller at the tv, lol
Jack is definitely one of the hardest! I do have two guides up for him if that's something you're looking for though :D
@@Cephalopocalypse I cleared it thanks to you. I've been using all your guides. It really helps to understand choices you have and decisions to make. Plus it explains the importance of economy. These are the best!
the best class
Shredder is way better fo this class.
❤🎉
44:44 2 dmg on crits xDDDDDDD
One armed!? That character is DUMB
Dujek onearm
This character is just not fun at all. Worst one by far.
wasn't taking triangle of power + bloody hand a mistake?
Yep!
