Bull is a lot of fun :D I had picked 5x more trees and 200 luck. I also had like 40 engineering and didnt pick pocket factory smh. The run was hilarious. I basically scouted for trees.

Can confirm, high regen does save you from blood donation/ bloody hand
Nice! Yeah, I think from later testing that anything over 1/second saves you, so 11 regen or higher

Hey, i just tried the combo of weird ghost and blood donation. You were right about that first tick of damage being after a second, you do survive!

@@Cephalopocalypse Still a pretty poor item for the bull as your health is your main resource and ghost makes you start at essentially 0 resources
@@bjarkov12 True, good point! Though since we were mainly using the blood donation ticks for damage it's less bad than it would normally be, but still not amazing.
Seems like tardigrade would help with that as well.
Thanks to your strat I finally did Danger 5 but yes blood donation would help alot, I managed to do crit in LVL 20 for 1k

21:00 The HP regen _will_ save you. I'm not sure what the breakpoint is for the first regen tick to happen before the first Blood Donation/Bloody Hand/Scythe tick, but it works out even at pretty small amounts.

@@Cephalopocalypse I've done it a bunch and it works totally fine. Late in a run Weird Ghost isn't worth it most of the time, but if I have problematically low HP, a fair bit of regen and good healing options I'll often take a Ghost. It's really not that dangerous on most characters. On Bull, though, I might be more cautious :-)
Is there any reason you weren’t using the free rerolls from Dangerous Bunny when you didn’t have enough cash to buy anything and had one or two things locked already? Don’t think they roll over so might as well to see if you can find another thing worth locking!
Nope! There's no reason not to use the free rerolls, so if I skipped them I just missed them.

The regen ticks before the damage from blood donation, so it's not an issue to grab the ghost.
Tardigrade weird alien and blood donation. I think ultimately the first damage would cancel itself out due to the tardigrade, so you'd get the boost from weird alien and not have to worry about blood donation

Love your videos! I am curious about Blood Donation and Weird Ghost combination. I had this same dilemma yesterday and opted not to risk it. Have you tried since to see what the result is?!
If you have enough healing you do indeed survive!
I'm not 100% sold on dodge. It certainly helped with this run because blood donation let's you attack without needing to take damage. I my limited experience with the Bull, armour seemed like the crucial stat.

At the wave 16th it looks like you're able to recover about 10 hp before the first tick of Blood Donation, so it could be fine with having that item which adds 3hp but you start a wave with only 1hp. But I'm not that greedy to check 😃
i was loosing and loosing because i avoided dodge. I took dodge this time and cleared my first d5 so easily that i was checking whatsapp while running arround on wave 20... Thanks for your guides they already helped me out a lot!

Yeah, unfortunately I had some audio sync issues in some of my earlier guides, and this one is the most severe - sorry about that! I fixed it shortly afterwards though so the problem is gone now at least.

Why would you take items in the shop that increase dodge when you can only do damage when you take damage?
Because he already does damage by taking one damage per second from blood donation, but even without it it can be good to have dodge to be able to heal more inbetween before you decide to run into a group of enemies

Thanks! Mammoth is excellent for bull - tons of damage and regen, you just need to be careful not to lose too much speed.

how do i get bull?
I found you die instantly if you have low Regen but can technically heal if it is higher than like...10-15 or so.
Dude I have attempted Bull at least 10 times now. Not gotten a single blood donation and it’s like… impossible.
I like the guide but no matter what i seem to do i die before the second half of the run, feel like this needs more early run tips
Bull should have a pretty strong early game, so I think you might just be trying to build too many stats at once. Not focusing in on the most important stats is what usually gets me if I'm dying in early waves
Focus on Health Regen early and temper that with plenty of melee damage. There's some great items that lower life steal that you can grab since we ignore that stat. If you get your HP Regen high enough, you can bum rush the pack for some currency, then just skirt the outside of the map to recover. Try and keep your HP at or above 50% just in case you take a couple shots. Keep building HP Regen and buying melee damage items and you'll curve into the second half of your run nicely.
Maybe a Lucky + Bull?

Harvesting gives you that amount in materials and XP at the end of each wave, and then grows by a small amount.

Skipping Alien Eyes and Baby Elephant on Bull seems insane to me. You have high health, decent luck, and good % damage, you're not abusing crit with Tentacle or Hunting Trophy _(and in fact have negative crit chance, which seems like a fine choice on Bull),_ and you really want to spray damage around. I genuinely have no idea why you skipped those amazing items to buy garbage like Insanity when you have negative crit with 3 waves to go.
As you see in the last few waves, the crit chance ends up being 100s of damage per attack because of the high base damage of our explosions. Also, you'll tend to get better results when you have a question if you ask it politely!

I do take issue with your conclusion that the decisions were right, though. The question isn't whether the materials gave you positive results, the question is whether the opportunity cost was worth it.
The Baby Elephants and Alien Eyes you passed were worth thousands of damage each. It's possible that the crit was worth it, but I'm skeptical. You were already 1-shotting the small mobs and crit isn't great for Bull in the first place.
Those items are bad if (a) you have low scaling stats, which you didn't, particularly with the Eyes, or (b) you're abusing crit items like Hunting Trophy and Tentacle. Those reasons aside, Elephant, Ball, and Eyes are just about the most efficient buys there are, and are specifically very good for range-constrained characters.

Fuel tank and mastery are pretty bad on this guy. Damage positive but really inefficient. At one point, in the same wave, you bought an item for 2 hp and 2 damage for like 40 and then mastery, 3 net damage, for 107. A few waves ealier you got fuel tank for 2 net damage for 80.
More good examples at the 18:30 shop. Fuel tank for 100 then several items with the same benefit for half the price and items with more benefit for the same price.
Yeah, very true - this character is so damage starved though that I think sometimes you need to make inefficient buys just to make sure your total is keeping up. All depends on the shop rolls
