  • CASIO CASIOTONE CT-S1000V Live Demo Performance | The Secrets of the Vocals-Synthesis | Vocoder Talkbox Choir and more
    The CT-S1000V is an instrument that redefines the concept of a keyboard and how it’s played. At its core is Casio’s new Vocal Synthesis technology, which lets you go beyond conventional playing, opening up new creative possibilities and freedom of musical expression.
    Check out my demonstration!
    Yours Ralph Maten
    I get not paid for this demo - I really think this is a cool instrument.

    Best demonstration of the vocal synthesis feature I’ve seen yet. This thing is impressive, especially for the price. They’ll sell them by the truckload.

    Casio is one of the most traditional keyboard manufacturers in the world and presented the future of synthesizers with this model. Very avant-garde and visionary. It looks like a really fun keyboard to play.

    Hi Ralph nice demo. I don’t like these vocoder type effects. On the other hand, I really dig these choir voices. They could be nice to make Gospel choirs beyond the usual “Ah”, “Oh” and “Doodidooda”.
    The strap thing is absolutely ridiculous. It’s much better to have a proper keyboard stand. If you’re above 10 years of age, TITS.
    Do you intend to demo the sounds, styles and effects of this instrument which goes way beyond a speech synthesis module? Thanks.

    • @RalphMaten
      @RalphMaten  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, I know what you mean. The choir vould be very useful for gospel music.
      For me I see this keyboard more as a cool gadget synth but for students and beginners it‘s a perfect allround keyboard with lots of sounds and possibilities.

      Hey my friend, this is nonsense.
      I play jazz music in clubs, I produce music since 30 years. The same arguments came in the 70s as the first home organs, drum computers and synthesizer came on the music market. They all are instruments. But you don’t have to like them.

    • @Gruuvin1
      @Gruuvin1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RalphMaten it's not nonsense. You should know just as well as I do how much music has changed, how little jazz is now evolving, how much music is devolving, and how little talent your average musician/producer has. And if you don't know, then you are young and unwise or just not paying attention to history. There's no doubt that this coincides with the rise of the computer age, which is not simply correlated but there is a causal link. On average, much more people spend more time now interfaced with their computers than with musical instruments.

    • @tjthenovicerider1138
      @tjthenovicerider1138 ปีที่แล้ว

      Computers are only aids in making music. Samples, Synthesis, drum machines, etc. They are tools. What the result depends on the talent of a musician/composer. Music is a projection of a musicians soul. No machine can replace human creativity in music. However, they are perfect tools to bring inspiration, ease of workflow, and capturing musical ideas quickly.

    I have been wanting a vocal synth for a long time. This is not it. The annunciation and pronunciation of the written lyrics is not accurate, it is mis-pronouncing, other AI speech software is better. I cannot understand 70% of the lyrics on this synth, garbled so bad don't know what word it's saying. The editor and input for lyrics in not a function of the Casio but an application needing another device. This means when the device needed for the app ages and is replaced and the CT-S1000v ages, the app won't be available anymore making the Casio useless for vocals. Plus there is NO 5pinMIDI-DINs, where did they go, the XWP1 had them. Without 5pinMIDI I would have never purchased the XWP1. I would love to have a vocal synth, but it has to be more than this toy.
