catfish Dave real nice flathead I been fishing flathead September but only catching blues on cut bait trout Skip Jack and gizzerd shade ain't giving up temps are dropping in Ohio in 40s in the morning still going in the morning and night fishing this weekend want me a flathead bad got some this summer
I had that problem this weekend.. I used a piece of nylon string and run the weight up and down the string and the friction and heat will buff out the burrs..
Keep it up Dave I’m from Logan West Virginia and I fish the guyandott river and I’m trying to get me a good 30lb flat he’d I’ve caught them out of ther before but this year I’m struggling 😅

Depends on the water system and temperature, here in northern ohio they seek out a winter location and seem dormant . There are some great tracking studies done on them and a quick search could provide better information.
I'm waiting for you to wrap a skipjack around that camera you have mounted and create a bird nest the size of an eagles nest...that 1st cast was close...😆

Gasconade is good fishing. Used to live in Mountain Grove. Fish around Manes
