I love how sadder the acoustic version seems compared to the original version. I can relate to this song, because I went through a bad relationship where the guy only used for sex and didn't care about me at all as a person. I was literally his puppy dog and didn't care that he shoved me aside because I just want to be loved. However, I'm never going back to that and have been with better people lately.

I actually think that's just how her face looks. Have you seen her without makeup? She's got cheekbones to die for and the features of an angel. I think her eyes are the only thing that's kinda different, and that's because she's painted like Electra Heart in this video.

+Demi Jaymes Her voice was about to fall apart. She had ruptured vocal cords at some point during the EH era because of improper technique. That's why her voice was so raspy then--it was a symptom of something being badly wrong with her vocal cords. If you listen to anything from Froot, her voice is a lot smoother because she's started training her voice properly. That rasp wasn't a natural part of her voice apparently.

Honestly the lack of belting is one of the reasons I love Marina. In my opinion too many vocalists belt and can't pull it off. Belting is one of those things that you either need to do well at all.
Marina is not belting, but singing in her head voice (like ariana grande). Demi is belting everything almost, sometimes with not the best technique. Loove all the artist tho

The crazy thing is.. in Marina's interview videos, I think Part 1, she says she sings for the purpose of writing the songs, not because she thinks she can sing, but so she can write the songs. Yet, she is such a genius when it comes to writing, and since she writes her songs, she's able to put all the right emotions into it. It's insane.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with being a pink girly girl. She is very feminine and that's ok. Her songs are through the female perspective for the most part. It's ok to be frilly and she manages to do it while writing powerful lyrics. Overall she is great!

it makes me feel good about my voice when I hear unedited performances. she sounds beautiful don't get me wrong, but the croaks in her voice, when she doesn't hit the note perfectly , or just hearing her take breaths reminds me that no one sounds perfect every time they sing. I find myself holding my head in my hands or slamming my fists on the keyboard when my voice isn't perfect like the recordings I hear. I'd like to believe people when they say I sound beautiful instead of having panic attacks after a performance because I hit one note wrong
