I wish more people would watch this video that play theater. I'll play with guards who get beat on the drive I'll switch and pick him( I'm a 7' big) and they don't switch and blame me for leaving a guy open. Even when I try to explain it to them they just call me trash. SMH

@@VI_Yai_iV yeah but why blame the guy that's cleaning up your lack of defense. That's my thing. My only has a 44 perimeter so actually good ball handlers will give me problems but they only have 24 seconds. Part of defense is doing enough to make them pass it until they have to take a bad shot.

I have the same thing reverse, I know I can’t expect someone to drop switch with me that don’t really know how I play, but it should be common sense the bitch transitions for the paint stop, I always drop out to their man when I’m beat and they’re slow to the switch
Holding r2 when you block gives you a swat block holding the left stick up gives you a vertical contest and just tapping triangle gives you a regular block attempt
Honestly I play with arrows off but only because it feels like the switches are more seamless without them on, and you can still use the R1(RB) to control your switches fully.

9:43 FYI, strength does play a part in screen interactions. 2k tutes made a video on it last year. I think the conclusion was ~30 strength points was equal to a badge level of pick dodger

I got a question. If you have a 99 steal with hof glove or gold glove and you going against someone with 92 ball handle and sliver unpluckable shouldn’t the player with 99 steal and better badges get the advantage. It’s really the community that ruins the game you don’t even have max badges or a higher attribute to complain about getting ripped against a 99 steal
In this case yes but only if you stay in front of him and time it right. While u might not be spamming square, most of these bums with locks are. Unfortunately the way steals are right now, there is no skill needed to get them.
I feel like if you invest that much into steal attribute you should be rewarded
The problem isn’t the actual strips its the fact that bums can spam that shit an get rewarded for not even timing it right, I can’t tell you how many time I’m pulled out of a behind the back animation where it would be impossible for you to steal the ball because you’d have to put you hand through my body but the game magically teleports the ball in front of me for you to get it, it’s the dumb shit that doesn’t make sense

The problem is these guards want to spam dribble with no penalty they want to spam that op be hind the back with no penalty and cry to the devs , locks with get nerfed they have been every single 2k what the point of having a skill gap when these guards cry when they get boxed . Locks have been getting nerfed since 2k17 literally it’s sad but it’s the truth in a comp lock every year 80%+ I play stage and pro am as well . This years defense has badged to match movements of the guards and they don’t like it it’s finally even for it to only be nerfed soon . Now are some of the animations for steals ridiculous of course they are , but aren’t the ankle breaks and stuns
From spamming that snatch back the same ? Regardless lock with get nerfed to cater to these cry baby as guards that can’t get creative or pass the ball when they are being boxed 🤷🏾♂️

I can’t set the ball on the floor without worrying about a bum lock just spamming right stick ripper when I have a 93 ball handle and gold unpluckable. Y’all should not be ripping me consistently when I’m full stamina with higher ratings. It takes skill out the game when someone can click X and take the ball.

I don't know if he said it in the video, but 2K Tutes showed that Lateral Quickness is tied to your Speed right now, I think it's a bug

It's not tied to it, it's still tied to perimeter D but speed influences it. Makes sense honestly

Well if you mess up while going for the mamba takeover you lose all your takeover so it’s like a high risk high reward type thing

lake im ngl i feel like passer settings 100% affect PVP. i've always rocked my settings since 19 and this year i still feel the difference in changing them. imoit helps with my flashy passes when i want to throw one to the open man and openess setting kicks in. i def noticed it compared to default settings on day 1.

Defensive secrets that nobody wants you to know? Lol I'll give some secrets.
When u on defense they are 3 moves that u as a defender need to MASTER.
1. Right analog stick = puts ur hands up trying to block the view of the rim to ur match up. When to do it? In the paint, let go L2, R2 and use analog for a contest unless u feel like using "jump" contest. But it helps to get turnovers since the player u guarding can't see when passing or shooting.
2. R2 when NEEDED, not always on defense u need to hold R2, it turbos u, making u lose ur match-up since u can't stand in front of him, use R2 to RUN at a contest, let go right stick, L2 then R2 to contest.
And 3. The L2 button which allows u to set ur back to the rim, let it go if not needed, meaning if a opposing player is behind u LET L2 GO! ur player won't look at him until u let L2 go.
MASTER IT, and then JUST THEN u will play between the 3 key buttons to be a complete lock down 👍 try it out, lmk
Oh almost forgot an extra tip, combine 2 or the 3 key buttons, L2 + right stick.
R2 + L2, do not use Right stick + R2, u run slower. And thats it cause i need to keep some for myself 🤣😂🤣
Lol nah you spitting facts i need more details this defense on cutters annoying. I got on my teammates about free release but we play 2-3 sometimes. Cutters come from every angle

Help me. I play on Xbox series X and made a player on the old gen game as it downloaded two versions when I bought 2K, I made a build with VC and upgraded my guy not realising I was on the old 2k game not Xbox series X version.
When I went to switch to the new gen game my play wasn't there and Iost my player and vc was spent. Is there anyway to transfer my player from old gen version to series × version on Xbox series X??

Me and my homie were playing theater last night and I was trying out the standing dunk meter and I was backing the defender down and trying the meter and it was NONEXISTENT. I have a 93 standing dunk and i was just like what the hell! I hope they fix this soon because im really liking my build I just wish I could use the standing dunks like I planned to
It could be the position your players in, when your trying to active them, and who your doing it up againts. First of You need the right animations, a high strength (90+ is enough) and high dunk which you have. Secondly, if your backing down a small guard, you should get them right after they jump every single time. But on a CENTER or even a small foward 6’8 + your not getting one unless your doing it in the perfect position and take smart standing dunks. I have a 6’10 83 standing dunk, 92 strength and animations and I get them all the time but I’m not attempting a standing dunk on a 6’9 center if he’s playing good defense
Standing dunk meter definitely works. I would recommend make sure you’re not moving, and faced towards the basket. RT and and up-down on the RS and the standing dunk should pop
That shit works once you close to the basket and squared up, you getting it 99% of the time

You cant trigger it from the post. If you want dunks from the post you have to hold RT LT and up on both sticks. To trigger meter you have to get out of post and be square to the rim

Hey laker I recently made an inside big man as small forward so I can get a mismatch. I made sure to get 90 strength for gold brick wall, but am noticing the screens don’t feel as good as the other big man I made as center spot. Both have 90 strength. I know this was an issue in past 2ks as well, have you noticed this?

I got a 64 offensive and I get them if nobody is around me, and I got them boxed out
Depends. I have a 7’0 C build with 90 off. Rebound and 95 d Reb with HOF box out beast. If you go up against me you’re not getting any boards. Now if you go up against someone with no badges and poor defensive stats then yes. Only time I have problems is when a center that’s 7’2 or 7’3 goes up against me. Then it’s neck and neck.
@@Steezymarz my thinking is, since I have 93 D. Reb i’ll be good to get boards from the opponents missed shots. I’ll get the rebound chaser to get good animations for the boards. If the opposing C has you boxed out, then it’ll be very hard to grab an offensive rebound anyway. But if I have positioning on the offensive end and the rebound chaser I can grab the O. Board so the stat doesn’t need to be too high that way I can use those points for what I want.
