Another big factor in how WWE makes its shows unique is by really emphasizing the brand extension. Each show has a completely unique roster of talent, a unique set of titles, and a GM. This makes it easy to differentiate the shows to new viewers and makes it easier to follow the individual wrestlers as you know exactly which show they’re going to be on. Like you mentioned in the video, this also fosters a distinct vibe to each show. AEW is just using the same pool of talent, the same pool of titles, and the same pool of authority figures across each show, diluting any significant differences between them and making Rampage and Collision feel extremely redundant. However, if I like Okada, I have to constantly check to see if he’s on the card rather than just knowing that he’s always on one show. Dont insult WCWs legacy comparing it to AEW - WCW actually beat WWE head-to-head for almost 2 years straight and held their own significantly longer than that. Way higher ratings too.
Nah I would WCW was 110x better than AEW, they did give WWE real competition. I lived that era it was intense, as a WWE fan I always tuned into WCW and watched the entire show. AEW ended up being a "Piss ass company" like HHH once stated. I was once worried for WWE but a few years later its not even a chance for AEW to ever recover
Plus WCW was everywhere. It was a marketing machine. I never watched a single episode of WCW live but had a Sting Bashin Brawler and most of their video games on N64.

But haters are gonna hate. There's nothing anybody can do to change your mind and there will aways be dumb videos like this.
Lets take a step back for a second. The WWE propaganda has made WCW look a lot worse than it really was. When Bischoff and Turner had free reigns they revolutionized wrestling. The NWO paved the way for Stone Cold, and the rest of the WWF attitude style that was edgy and the style of mic work. WCW had good matches, they built one of the most popular wrestlers of all time in Goldberg, it doesnt matter what you think of him, he outsold your favorite wrestler probably. WCW saved pro wrestling, sure Vince ultimately won, but pro wrestling is his life. Bischoff was a salesman and media guy, he didnt know anything about wrestling and had no experience, Ted Turner was in the twilight of his career and was just F'n around. If you had the privilege to watch wrestling in the 90s, WWF was the company based around characters and storylines, WCW pushed a very realism feel to their programs

Some people say it's like the end of WCW, and it might be a little bit, but to me it's more like WCW before Nitro mixed with the Hogan/Bischoff era of TNA with a more "Indy" flavor.
ROH should just serve as AEW developmental.
aew dark was it's developmental
8:43 OOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!
At least WCW had been around for over a decade before they went out of business and WCW was good and AEW isn't.
@@freebirdrule Exactly it was the one of very few shows in the 80's that aired on tv. I started watching since the start to the finish. I loved the wrestlers both companies had. They had great stories it was intense. I was barely under 10 at the time and wondered why some WWF wrestlers ended up on WCW, I had no clue about contracts everything was stories. WCW utilized all the WWF talent properly imo. The WCW vs WWF war was just as strong as a SEGA vs Nintendo war
Please don't insult WCW by comparing it to AEW!
One of the things that I literally can't wrap my head around is the comments on AEW TY videos....🤔 I'll watch a video and think to myself how God awful bad it is than I'll check out the comments expecting to see others pointing out the same God awful cringe-worthy crap only to be utterly shocked and dumbfounded that people actually enjoy and praise it... Everytime I am left scratching my head wondering who can actually enjoy it...
I think we all have a aunty collins in are life, for alot though its theres wife
I will not be surprised if my brother Alfred gets some messages calling him a non Swahili name. Shout out to the South Park episode about people who annoy you.
no its not wcw was actually entertaining 😂
1:28 more like Grandpa Billy👴🏻 🤣
At least there's no AOL/Time Warner merger, no Vince Russo, No Fingerpoke of Doom, no spoiling the rival result. AEW is doing just fine.
AEW is a mud company.
no its not stop lying
Cody winning the belt last night was AEW's wake up call.
GI Bill reference was funny😂
They wish
aew really is turn into wcw 2.0
AEW Dynamite-Wednesday
AEW Rampage-Friday
ROH Collision-Saturday
I really feel like we need to separate the roster a bit and grow the show more and more with booking choices and decisions to help produce a better product.
AEW Dynamite
-AEW World Title
-AEW TNT Title
-AEW World Tag Team Titles
-AEW Women's Title
AEW Rampage
-AEW International Title
-AEW FTW Title
-AEW Trios Tag Team Titles
-AEW TBS Title
ROH Collision
-ROH World Title
-ROH World TV Title
-ROH World Tag Team Titles
-ROH Women's Title
-ROH Trios Tag Team Titles

AEW could be great if they focus on giving everyone time to flourish maybe with even having different guys on commentary with two people commentary.
Dynamite
-Jim Ross
-Tony Schiavone
Rampage
-Taz
-Excalibur
Stop it, AEW can't even compare to the hype and talent WCW had in the 90s, just look at WCW top guys and compare them to AEW top guys, it's a no contest. WCW failed due to bad finance decisions but the product was top tier for many years
*whooop that triiiiiick* his entrance song slaps so hard
AEW is run by a palooka who panders too much to the internet wrestling community .
Tony Khan is just delusional, I would be so ashamed to air the shows they do with the size crowd they have it’s straight up embarrassing.
you get mad often your embarrising for saying this crap
@@davidcoombsbestmegadethalb9780 are you ok david?
@@DundaMifflinhe’s a mark who goes on every wrestling video he can find to argue and name call anyone who has any criticism of AEW. Man made like 5 different comments on a WhatCulture video today alone raging about the “haters” who didn’t like dynamite last night.
@@DundaMifflinthat’s not to mention the comments he made responding to other people’s posts
Only 2 mins in, man you are wayyyyyy over estimating Trick Williams. No body beside hardcore wrestling fans know who he is. Dont take the small NXT crowed to me someone is over.
when he books himself and some D list celebrity to win the world title multiple times, then the WCW comparisons will be accurate
They really might end up like WCW cause they seem to refuse to address the problems. Tony Khan has an army of yes men just like Vince did except Tony's are just diehard AEW twitter fans who will attack you just for pointing out that the arenas are more then half empty or the viewership is stuck and not growing.
Don't insult WCW
Nailed this square on the head 👏👏 I've been calling AEW WCW and throwing up the Bret Hart spell out for over a year now on our Live Streams
Tony Khan is this Generation's Herb Abrams of UWF.
TNA is the ECW 2000/2001
AEW is The WCW 2000.
Wwe is the wwe 2009(pg era)
@@Matiassss8 nah WWE currently is modern day WWF new generation era (1993 to 1997) pre attitude era.
when it was edgy in it's peek, new and old stars collide, heading to a new direction, in a new search for a new star to be the face of the company and the first time WWF raised the bar on how far they can go on tv.
PG era sucks. wwe wasn't watchable for nearly 20 years in PG era until now. lol i stopped watching wwe by 2009 it was so bad, it made me jump ship to watch TNA. that was at a time when WWE just did that god awful invasion angle and that horrible WWE's ECW brand.
Have to disagree on AEW not having a pipeline for younger wrestlers. They have it's just the ones the fed release (ie parker deveroux, cole karter & swerve )🤣🤣🤣
AEW is nothing like WCW lol. WCW ended in DQ's and run-ins from the nWo half the time, and there was usually never a clear winner. WCW had one storyline they milked constantly and could never get away from...AEW will change if they need to, just like when people complained about the Nightmare Collective. But haters are gonna hate. There's nothing anybody can do to change your mind and there will aways be dumb videos like this.
I've been saying this for a few months now.
Dude, stop yelling at me, this is excruciating to watch
Your my favorite wrestling content channel ever. No one does it like you!
Great video!
