Should be noted that rookies back in the day had to complete college before coming into the NBA. Kareem and MJ averaging 28ppg their rookie year is different than Kobe and LeBron being drafted out of high school

When Dirk came in, the league didn't know what to do with him. it was still when a center stayed in the paint and the PF was a smaller center. Dirks style didn't translate back then, making him get less minutes and no efficiency

    • @alexsmith3598

Yeah, it's crazy that people are scared to coach. Like if you have a tall player that can shoot, make him get in the paint for what? Like it's easier shots, but if the guy is weak especially compared to the competition inside, let him shoot. Just weird that like you don't encourage players to be their own player, everybody has to do the same things. All SGs would run around screens and black hole, PGs would stand at the top and watch actions, PF and C would screen or low block. Just feels like no coaching if every player is demanded to do the same thing.

He averaged 29/9/9 in his second season and 31/9/10 in the playoffs.
He was 3rd in PER at 27.6 only after the two mvp candidates, Giannis and Harden ahead. Also took peak Kawhi and PG to the to the brink in the playoffs on one leg with no support.

English was not a good defender. The two butted heads over the next couple of years so much that English asked to be traded, and the Bucks sent him to the Pacers.
The sad thing was that Moncrief and English were on the same team. They could’ve been like Dame and Jimmy Butler. Ugh!

Your smoking good crack if you think that lebron's career wouldn't be different if he wasn't making the same career moves that KD did. Lebron on the warriors is winning 5 or 6 chips in a row, and atleast 7 or 8 for his career

@@paulh.9937 kd spent only 3 years on the warriors lmao so how is lebron winning 6 rings there with most of the warriors roster going through injuries? 😂😂😂. Lebron fans are funny sometimes. Also what i meant is lebron would still be viewed as the goat or the 2nd best player ever. By switching kd and bron’s careers you are taking out a lot of defining moments of bron’s career lmao 😂.

What’s funny to me is that though yes LBJ should be counted as the best rookie to join the league
The two mj’s are just hillarious how good their rookie seasons are.
Blud Magic had Kareem, but if he did not play like that in the playoffs then they are absolutely baked.
Meanwhile we have Jeffrey over here who AVERAGED 28 POINTS ON 82 GAMES WITH 2.4 STEALS WHILE ALSO ELEVATING HIS SCORING UP BY 1 POINT IN THE PLAYOFFS
    Like bruh…
I kinda want rookies nowadays to come in on their 20s
