Sorry Donna, May be I have misunderstood on the concept of Business Architecture and Data Architecture but in my view Business Arcchitecture deals with what are different business capabilities that a business/client have, what are different processes involved in each of capabilities, how different capabilities are interconnected to get the business value, how our value streams have to be designed etc...
Pls revert me in case you disagree with this and help me with your perspectives

we are dealing with entities of information purely from the business and not tech side. They have relationships with one another do they not? Does a business person not need to understand how their customers relate to products and raw materials without needing to understand how it relates to the middleware? It is a different vantage point on the same entities that the data architecture deals with
