Does it make me a bad person for saying that I do not feel bad for her in the slightest? Like, God forbid that her and her family fade more and more into the background and have to work a normal 9-to-5 job like everyone else.

I feel like, in 2016 we really had the appetite and stomach for the luxurious lives of celebrities. We enjoyed looking into their private lives and aspired to be like them. But 8 years later, we are tired. We’ve given these people all our time money and support yet have accepted that these elites are too big or busy to acknowledge any of us. Now we see their greed and we genuinely don’t care about their lives- we’re to busy working multiple minimum wage jobs just to keep the lights on. We don’t care and we’re tired. Cost of living has sky rocketed and food is triple what it was in 2019. We just want to get through the fucking day.

I feel like the launches for makeup should have been a collection, but there is no cohesion so no vision. A cream blush, mascara, foundation and lip butter, I could see it as an easy clean girl makeup kit. A throw back to her original kits. But when you are desperate, you do anything.

When you buy multiple luxury cars, many luxury homes, private jet, servants, never wear the same expensive outfit twice, put up produtcs, staff for everything etc you spend a lot too and you need to keep making more to keep that lifestyle. If she’s really going “broke” it means yeah she’s rich but not as rich. Money just doesn’t stay there just bcs you made some with your lipsticks and if you keep spending it THAT way. Small brands are MUCH better bc they know that if they launch a mid product, that will make a big dent in their finances. So they actually TRY and when there's a problem, address it and fix it, even though they have less resources.
The clothes isn’t really a groundbreaking design. It’s twisted fabric but I get where the other owner is coming from. It’s like a double edged sword.

She has contracts with Coty now that she is no longer majority owner of her makeup brand. So it can’t be that she personally is going bankrupt and wanting to push out product. The brand itself may be going under but that is likely not her decision to pump out products. Her own brands, Khy and Sprinter I think she is trying to replicate the success Kylie cosmetics once had

Coty is also treating Kylie cosmetics like their other brands. They are so old school & don’t pay attention to trends. Thats why coty decided to buy Kylie, thinking it would sell itself. And im saying this as someone who has inside knowledge. Also after the acquisition coty realized the brand wasn’t as strong but Jenner comm said its because they don’t have staple products yet so coty is rushing to push it all out like a cow giving birth in the field.

I think the problem with Kylie Cosmetics in particular is that it looks very dated, very 2016. And we’re in 2024, the makeup industry is not what it used to be back then and is very much competitive and highly saturated with better innovative products and formulas. I think if the brand rebranded itself to make it look more modern and sleek, expand shade ranges and focus on quality, her brand could be on top again. If Lady Gaga did it with Haus Labs, I don’t see why Kylie can’t. I’ve seen her gondola at Ulta and as 33 year old woman, I’m not interested in buying from her brand because of how childish it looks. Which is sad because I used to love her liquid lipsticks. But it’s not an appealing brand anymore and if she doesn’t do anything about it, then it’s a matter of time before the brand goes in complete demise IMO.

She caught my attention again when she tried to sell her swimsuit line but when the reviews came out and it was clear that she still wanted to make poor-quality products and charge luxury prices for them, I knew she's probably never going to change her mindset when it comes to business.
She'll always want to get that bag but doesn't care about quality control one bit. She wants a quick cashgrab with no regard for her customers at all. And with her pumping out as many products as possible, she's no better than a dropshipping site like Shein or Temu.

Ok I’ve never liked the Kardashians but I want to tackle this from the business perspective… she should’ve waited until all of her makeup was done and ready to launch to make a full makeup collection.
I mean the Kardashian MO has always kind of been all gas no brakes. TONS of failed ventures and things that went by the wayside or got reshuffled to the back of the deck. Then always something new new new new new. So it is a lot, but the Kardashian brand has always relied on don't give them time to breathe and always stay in their faces... and ultimately that's whats kept them in their stratospheric fame and relevance for so many years. I feel like for a normal brand/person/corporation everything were talking about would be REALLY bad business, but at this point the family can get away with fucking anything so regular biz and marketing rules don't apply.

The lipstick was the worst lipstick I ever tried. I literally trashed it! Super dry and my lips looked awful! I dropped $45 for this horrible lipstick. That was my only products I bought from her… never again! 👎👎

I don’t know why it’s so many products and so little engagement with potential customers? Tour a bunch of clubs all over North America and a few places world wide to promote your seltzer, host special parties and people will come out. Or in Ulta’s with one product, going to stores doing special limited meet and greets…. People would eat that upppp. Influencers don’t promote her because she doesn’t do pr boxes and doesn’t PAY them so she isn’t getting traction that way. It’s one thing to rest on your laurels but another to get complacent

another possibility with kylie cosmetics is that they are going out of business but they have created all these products, so they have to drop them fast before declaring they are shutting down to try and get some money back. I could be totally wrong but we've seen it happen before with other brands!
